Lol, true tho. I had cheap caviar once. It was good with fried chicken. Complements to my pot tho. Also, I will say thx to the guys who recommended me to try caviar with fried chicken as well as the ones who recommended the perfect spices which paired with said chicken. Amazing.

The cost actually has nothing to do with the taste. Almost 30 years ago that same tin of caviar would have cost you maybe $100 or even less. The problem is the sturgeon where caviar comes from is only found in a couple bodies of water across the world. Most of them have been completely fished out and the last one in Russia is almost completely fished out as of right now. I think it's the Caspian sea.
If you want to try caviar there are environmentally friendly types of caviar. One comes out of France that I heard is quite exquisite and tastes exactly like the real thing.
A sturgeon has to grow for almost 20 years to be able to produce eggs. So whenever you're eating those pearls they were something a fish worked on for basically as long as most of us have been alive.

I have caught sturgeon in the Wisconsin dells in the United States. I have caught a 40 inch one before. And almost a 50 inch one. Sturgeon are amazing, if you manage to catch a massive one you can keep it and eat it. My dad and grandpa in the 90’s once caught a legal one and ate it. They said it tasted like salmon but better. There caviar is amazing too. Truly an amazing fish

@@pinkgaewhistle9631 I know, it truly is sad, we don’t do it anymore because how much we glorify the fish. Its been a tradition for around 30 years of my dad and my grandpa going up there, and they just recently added me to the mix. They regret eating the fish though.

I just bought a little jar of caviar to try with my family around the holidays. When I was young, I wanted to try caviar so bad and one time my very hard-working lumber mill form and father came home with a jar of caviar just for me. I was thrilled! Then he said "well aren't you going to share it?" My mother and brother were Rarely nice to me and often mean to me then, i was quiet and kept to myself, so I looked at him and said no I was going to put it on my shelf and look at it ( it was a gift for me,yes?) So, thats what i did. i cherished that something he thought was wasteful and frivilous, being such a moutain man, he would actually get for me because he loved me. He was the most thoughtful 🥰.
It's okay though we can split this jar of caviar I bought now. No this wasnt $200😂 it was $8.
