Caesar Pasta Salad
2 tbsp Caesar salad dressing: Recipe Below
1 cup cooked farfalle pasta
½ cup Romaine lettuce
½ chicken, cooked and shredded
2 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
1 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan
Homemade Caesar Dressing
½ cup plain yogurt
1 tsp anchovy paste
1 garlic clove, minced
½ lemon, juiced
¼ cup parmesan
½ tsp Worcesterchire sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
fresh parsley
Creamy Greek Pasta Salad
2 tbsp creamy Greek dressing
1 cup cooked penne pasta
½ English cucumber, finely sliced
½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
¼ cup feta cheese, crumbled
2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
Mediterranean Tuna Salad
2 tbsp Italian dressing
1 cup cooked rotini pasta
¼ cup sundried tomatoes
¼ cup kalamata olives, chopped
¼ cup artichoke hearts, chopped
½ cup tuna, flaked
½ cup spinach
Crunchy Ramen Salad
2 tbsp sesame ginger dressing
¼ cup edamame beans, cooked
½ cup red cabbage, finely chopped
½ cup mandarin slices
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 package ramen noodles, crushed

Actually the lettuce thing is: during the 16thcentury you weren't suppose to use a knife with your lettuce because the vinegar (dressing) made the silver rusty and knives were made from silver at the time. So this is why you are not suppose to chop it, just a tradition. (I hope I'm understandable lol)
The knife is what makes the lettuce wilt. Studies have even been done to test this. Cut lettuce with a knife lasted 1 day less than lettuce cut with a lettuce knife (plastic) and 8 days less than ripped lettuce.
I didn't know that ! I always heard my version (I'm french) but maybe both are true ! :)
When you rip lettuce, you are tearing along the 'seams' of the cells, so you aren't breaking into the cells. Cutting rips into the cells, causing browning and wilting.

you can chop the lettuce with a plastic knife. contact. with the steel from the knife is what causes the lettuce to wilt quicker. Great video!

I just wish I could find jars like those you have here in Sweden. I loooove the idea to make things in jars because you can keep them in the fridge, take them to work easily and I just don't like the idea of using plastic around my food. Love your recipies, I got hooked after the first one I was. Great job on making yummy foods that are healthy and easy.

this is a great idea for my kid's school lunches. I would probably use the same ideas and make them in a smaller jar for them. thanks for this video. It will make lunches a little more fun for them as they would have to shake it first and then eat it. only problem now that I'm thinking of it is that the jars are glass. will need to find some plastic containers. lol
