- TRIPLE FAILURE | Wrestling’s Worst Trios!
A great trio can be one of the most entertaining things to watch in wrestling. Just look at acts like The New Day or The Shield if you need any evidence of this. That said, not all three-man units are created equal, and for every great one out there, there’s just as many who never really met up with expectations. But what are the worst examples of this in wrestling history? Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to be looking at today. So, join us as we take a deep dive into the Triple Failure: Wrestling's Worst Trios.

Could u PLEASE do the Brie Bella story? I’ve been wanting this one for a while. I’m begging 🙏
The Lou Albano Story come on now

3MB is the greatest jobber group in WWE history.
I’d have to give that to the Social Outcasts tbh
But 2/3 of them are former WWE champions.
@@davidarrington4144they the worst yes they’re a trio no
@@billyc2493yea after they departed none of them were good together and if you pair them now everyone will hated it
Perhaps, but I effectively cancelled my subscription once Jinder Mahal became champion. They might as well have been pissing on their own company.
Meanstreet Posse were a comedic jobber group that people loved to hate. They are not a failure, they did exactly they were supposed to and even brought good ratings. Their match against the stooges is one of the matches that had the highest ratings ever.
Mean Street Posse was not a total failure as it did what it was made for in the first place - make everybody hate Shane. The group managed to just that and technically they were not a total failure. Everything else about it, however, was a total disaster to say the least.
Agree
Cody went from being with the legacy to teaming up with accession to being the top babyface on the current roster. Fascinating journey indeed.
Ascension*
He’s not the top baby face though lol
@@BirdGang6he literally is
@@anijeepaLA Knight would like to have a word
@@rustlerv6549 hes def not bigger than Cody
At least one member of Three Count had some success later in WWE. Shane Helms became WWE's resident Superhero the Hurricane Hurricane even had his own trio: himself, Mighty Molly (Molly Holly) and Rosie as the Super Hero In Training. He even had a program with the Rock (who called Hurricane the Hamburglar). Shannon Moore also found his way to WWE and teamed with Matt Hardy for a time.
Lmao bWo is far from a failure. They're more memorable than almost every faction since the 2010s started. And 3MB has produced 2 World Champions.
Mean Street Posse was great.....they weren't supposed to be good, you were supposed to hate them.
The ascension deserved so much more than they ever got. They were a talented tag team with one hell of a look and a mystique about them that really could’ve gone somewhere. Anyone who doesn’t believe me can go watch their year long reign as NXT tag team champions. Konnor was a throwback to 80s and 90s big men while Viktor was trained in the hart dungeon and was one hell of a technical wrestler. Not to mention both of them were better than good on the mic. They could’ve succeeded in any tag division of any company in any era and instead they were never used at all.
And sadly, they got jobbed out to a bunch of retired wrestlers
Michael Hayes was the Hardy Boys manager at the time because at the time they wererent great talkers at that time.
Still arnt
Fun fact
3MB have more WWE title reigns (3) than New Day(2)
Shame to see Kofi and Big E being squashed by Brock Lesnar in matter of time. Brock is a newday killer.
Mean street posse was supposed to make you hate Shane, not win tag titles… the fact they were even able to stay in the WWE was crazy. I read a book by Pete gas about the group, very good read. They themselves were under the impression they wouldn’t even be around after the first run to build heat. I don’t think that’s a fail at all…
The BWO was funny not bad
Here are a few dishonorable mentions:
1. The Mexicools (Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis, and Super Crazy)
2. Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik, Kalisto, and Lince Dorado)
3. Lo Down (D-Lo Brown, Mosh, and Tiger Ali-Singh)
4. The Roundtable (Ezekiel Jackson, Vladimir Kozlov, and William Regal)
5. Los Matadores (Diego/Primo and Fernando/Epico) and El Torito
I liked Lucha House Party
@@claymathewselevator8121 And that's fine. I liked them too. It's just how they were booked. If you're a Cruiserweight or a short person, you're likely not going to see success in Vince's WWE.
1. Restricted
2. Overused
3. Bad chemistry
4. Too British (Thanks Brexit)
5. comedy and nothing more
Forgot about Low Down, that should have been on their list.
@@LordBarros And to think that in 2001, they were pulled out of the Royal Rumble in exchange for... Drew Carey.
Drew surviving 2 bad trios groups to become a world champion is truly something else
Some of Matt Hardy’s Micheal PS Hayes stories from then are hilarious
X-Factor was an okay stable and they tried to push Albert up to the Upper Midcard. He doninated a match against Undertaker and had a great feud with Kane.
albert has always had style, the 1999-2004 albert was cool, unlike his lord tensai failure.
@@jmjfanssHe was awesome in Japan.
Drew’s story is so much more complex as he was brought in to be a champion, untried without experience. Fans quickly hated him, not as a heel wrestler, but as a person they never wanted to see, much less pay to see. But he was learning, fast, even with the flunky wrestler turn. He went to Impact wrestling and we finally saw just how great he could be. But it was rough, some laughter, some tears, sometimes just had to turn the TV off. But after his Wwe changes, we never saw glimpses of what he could be. Without Impact, would us seeing his enormous potential, would he be in WWE today? Dunno. Just my opinion.
As they say, the rest is wrestling history.
The Mean Street Posse was perfect for what it was supposed to be and have some really highly rated segments.
Terri said that she begged Vince McMahon for months to end the PMS group it was a Russo idea that McMahon agreed on
The Mean Street Posse wasn't a failed group at all. They were the epitome of the douchey team you hoped got their asses kicked, and they always did. They were perfect.
-3MB were over with the fans
-XFactor underrated and underappreciated with an AWESOME theme
-Stardust & The Ascension as The Cosmic Wasteland were underrated and underappreciated shat should have been pushed as a major heel team.
-Mean Street Posse were OVER with the fans
-PMS needs a reboot as it would be an asset to the tag division
-The Hardys & Hays were AWESOME and fit PERFECTLY
-3 Count was OVER with the fans
You're one of the rare people I've seen commenting that X Factor had a good theme.
Unknowingly back in 2011-12, when I stumbled onto their Uncle Kracker theme, I kinda got hooked to it but then realized how un-wrestling it was. But their instrumental was a good one too but maybe it would've suited someone else instead of X-Factor as a trio.
Wrestle with Andy never disappoints
3 Man Band was fkn awesome. How dare they be included in this list.
I wouldbt consider 3MB , Three count, BWO , or the mean street posse a failure tbh. They servered there purpose and were never meant to go anywhere passed the lower midcard. They were comedy jobber groups. Id consider it a failure if the group had legitamite pushes but failed to live up to the hype like JBLs cabinet ( i know they had 4 people) the mexicools or John Cena and Crime Tyme
I thought Hayes with the Hardy's worked really well esp at that point in the hardy's career. Obviously, he was older but fit the manager role perfectly.
Man, I loved the Ascension for awhile. They could've been one of the greatest tag teams ever. They had an it factor and they had lit up NXT for a long time. Then they went committed a cardinal sin and shot themselves in the ass. What did they do, you ask? They cut one of their first promos and compared themselves to the Road Warriors right after their main roster debut. It was one of the worst promos I'd ever heard and I'll never forget it. This was before they had beaten anyone of merit on the main roster. That was a HUGE no-no for Vince McMahon. After that, it was a quick demise for them.
Jonathon Taylor here. I remember back in 2010 I was a fan of the Band Kevin Nash, R I P Scott Hall and Syxx I was at 2010 lockdown ppv and I was my nWo and nWo wolfpac Bros for the first time together and I had a lot nWo and nWo wolfpac memories and they were just toooooo sweeeeet bro
Surprised no one has mentioned Death Crew Council (James Storm, Bram, Eddie Kingston). Hell, I can't even remember what their gimmick was supposed to be.
X-Factor could have consisted of LA Knight, MJF, and Roman Reigns and it’s still not getting over with that theme song
Say what you want, but I can’t picture the attitude era without the mean street posse… they were a heat magnet and comedic relief.
The thing about X Factor; a stable of bitter midcarders banding together for payback is actually great. THOSE three with THAT theme music…
The Mean Street Posse didn't fail. It was never meant to last, so it lasting a year was crazy.
Plus they made one of the greatest
Games of all time smackdown 1.
Title: Wrestling’s Worst Trios.
Thumbnail: Features 3MB.
Me: Excuse me?
You forgot the trio from more recent times that is PCB; Paige, Charlotte and Becky. All three women have gone on to be WWE women's champions. Also The Boogie Knights;Glen "Disco Inferno" Gilbertti, Alex "Berlynn" Wright and Tokyo Magnum.
X-factor were awesome! Unpopular opinion, they have good theme by uncle kracker!
Well technically not only Albert n XPac won single titles in XFactor, Credible did pick up the Harcore title in XFactor
I did love the Mean Street Posse's entrance music, definitely an underrated groove
3MB has kind of become a cult favorite amongst the IWC
3 Count Ruled! Their matches with the Yung Dragons were all bangers
I never knew shane mcmahon got his rich school buddy’s a job on WWE LOL
Saying names in the gimmick style is jarring
You ever insult 3 Count again, I'm gonna straighten your nerve endings.
X factor had the coolest theme song i wont take any slander lol
That shit sucked
Yeah. 3MB was my first thought before XFactor. 😂😂😊
X Factor was awesome it split because of the invasion
Mean street posse was not bad. They served their purpose
The Blue World Order certainly can't be called a failure. It's one of the best trios to this day.
Now bwo is on a different level
I feel that the Ascension should have had a better run
3MB created as many world champions as new day
I used to rent the 80s WWF PPVs from the video store when I was in kindergarten, but I didn't fully start watching until that Hardy's & Hayes era, when I was still really young. I actually thought Michael Hayes was their dad
I remember really liking the idea of pms as a kid mostly hormones… If it would of been tweaked it would of been remembered more fondly. In the 90s (hyper chauvinistic) where women mixed it up with men having Jacqueline could of let’s to cool spots.
3MB wasn’t that bad except for the fact Heath Slater is the only member to not win the wwe championship but there’s a prophecy that he’ll make a comeback from TNA & dethrone Seth Rollins to win the world heavyweight championship
But the 1st 2 factions you mentioned I was a huge fan of b/c I enjoy the calamity that would be caused by the interference and all 6 men could control the mic. My option!
Can you really consider a parody faction as a failure when the point was to poke fun at the original
6:07 The Hardyz w/ this guy as their manager makes more sense than that vampire dude. Hardcore & Goth don’t mix well at all
3MB and the bWo were really entertaining tho.
Do a video on best promos! That be great
Heath is doing good
Delirium. You put X Factor in the thumbnail as if you're actually gonna put them on a list of bad trios. Silly goose
Scott hall in The Band days, you can see is down turn. Rest in Peace, Bad Guy, taken too soon
Mean street posse was 🔥 🔥 🔥...
Lmao I forgot about PMS. For how much they had going on in attitude era, there's still little spots where you can tell they were just NOT trying at all.
At least 2 out of 3 members of 3mb became wwe champions
We need world champ Heath now complete the trio of world champs
@@bashamd96give him like…two more years to bulk up and he’ll be back to challenge whomever will be World Heavyweight Champion
@@DaFro3713 Heath to defeat Roman
I loved "The Mean Street Posse"
16:15 what a name 😂😂😂😂
Worst trio
Either Dixie Bischoff Hogan or
Vince Briscoe Patterson
Another great video
The mean street posse was actually pretty good
😂😂😂 I can’t believe I have been watching wrestling this long that I remember some of these groups 😂😂😂😂
I liked the Mean Street Posse everything else yeah your right.😮😮😮😮
Not breathing until wwe in 2007 is posted
I guess I'm the only guy on earth who was a fan of X-Factor and thought they were cool.
I didn't know Warlow was a member of Mean Street Posse😂! Dude looks just like Warlow.
X factor was dope
Just got to 3 count so this is all before I watch it, but 3 count rocked, the gimmick blew ass, but they have 2 of the best matches in late WCW
When we're there ever 3 members of PMS. Was Meat, not a member of the group?
The Forgotten Sons
Oh I can't believe I forgot about them, they basically got tweeted out of existence at their peak
If we’re counting PMS as a failed trio…..We’re gonna have to go back and count every other male too.
“The Boys “
“The Pack”
But they went with “The Band”
I liked the Mean Street Posse lol
Early Much I Was In The Middle Watching Heels Season 2 I'm halfway to the season finale
Wow the rising was nuttin but a failed nexus lol
I think the whole reason Micheal Hayes was with the Hardy’s was bcs the WWE wanted one of the greatest trio wrestlers of all time to mentor the up and coming brothers
BWO and 3MB were both awesome
Thank For the Video 🙊🤯🥰😍😁💗💐🌟🥇🏆
The Mean Street Posse was never supposed to be any good. They should have never been anything other than stooges for Shane
Three Count was one of the best things about WCW. If Paisley can get in the HOF , so can Three Count.
The Hardys and Hayes may not have gotten over with fans, but Hayes helped them a lot back stage
What are you talking about? X-factor's theme is the best one ever .
I really liked x factor. Waltman was such a great wrestler and the other 2 were too
Most people forget Terri tunnels was the hardy boyz valet after that ladder match.
3MB was goated
The crazy thing is they made the WWF/WWE games.😂
Does anyone know what's the name of the song on 15:15?
What are you talking about The Brood was an amazing trio!
Excuse me! PMS was an awesome team!! Jackie and Terri together were amazingly awesome!!! They only went downhill when Ryan and Meat came along😢
3MB ruled... 2 future World Champions the one-man-southern-rock-band.
Edit this video!
Surprised 3 minute warning didn't make the cut
