OMG!! I was just having this conversation with someone! I said the EXACT thing you said. You’re a freaking sales person! I think if you’ve actually run or started a real business, you’d truly know how the money works. These schemes call people “entrepreneurs”, so that these people can buy into the idea and feel as if they’re running their own business except you have limited creative freedom, you adhere to their rules and standard and you profit a very small share of what they actually make for the products. Bare in mind you’re using your resources (WiFi, computer, car, gas, phone, ad space etc) just for a small percentage of something you don’t own.

Think about the environmental cost of this company.. Basically the product they sell is inventory to sellers. The amount of clothes these sellers have left in inventory after their investment is insane. All of that cotton has to come from somewhere. All the chemicals sprayed to grow that, that land could have been put to so much better use. This is fast fashion at its worst.

I was thinking the same thing when watching some Lularoe saleswoman explain her business. She was shopping like crazy to buy plastic bins for storage, plastic bags and boxes for mailing, hangers, etc., not to mention tons of clothes All that stuff is probably in a landfill now.
There's also the waste of shipping clothes to her in plastic, her repackaging everything and shipping the same clothes out yet again. The clothes were probably made overseas, shipped here; then shipped to individual sellers who again shipped them to consumers.

Exactly! In particular a single parent trying to make good would not have anything gets here in England other than their state benefits. Once they earned over £10 they would have to declare it. That would be fine if they could go from nothing to earning a living wage. Reality doesn't happen like that though. Additionally; for an individual to find the start up money to buy inventory would be impossible. Only way would be a 'loan shark' and that would be even worse.

Anybody that would pay $80 for a polyester cardigan or $40-$50 polyester legging has to be crazy!! but there's a customer for every kind of fashion. Esp. bad fashion!
Imo its fashion for for ppl who are visually challenged.
It's awful hideous prints for ppl who don't like zippers, buttons or structured silhouettes ...only stretchy elastic easy pull on drapy pieces....lazy!!
The concept itself isn't a novelty but when you make it with cheap subpar poor quality synthetic materials and find a customer base for it worth a supposed$2B annually?? I blame the consumer! There's no profit without customers...SOMEBODY is buying that crap!!
The trick is social media has allowed LLR to find all the ppl they could possibly need, esp the ones too lazy, too busy or unable for whatever reason to get to legit stores. I think these ppl tend to shop sites like QVC & LLR fashion convinced it's cute stuff.
There are no limits to poor fashion taste. Social media has now allowed us a birds eye view of ppl around the world that dress horribly but think they look cute af!So it makes sense plenty of ppl think LLR is cute stuff. Give them some flowers, unicorns, hearts, polka dots , paisley or stripes and count on them being color blind to the hideous color combinations ?? Jackpot !!
Its the consumers that should be ashamed . They didn't cuss out the founders when they first introduced those vomit inducing prints and fabrics for $40+!!!

Bohemian Chic Vibe you are 100% correct. If women would stop buying this crap there would be no company. It is poorly made, awful prints and colors, too expensive! I bought ONE pair of leggings about 3 years ago. I popped my thumb right through them the first time I pulled them on. In the trash they went along with my $25. I haven't looked at LLR since. If I get added to groups on Facebook I immediately remove myself. If I get asked to come to a "pop up" event, I decline and tell the person exactly why hoping they'll rethink their decision. This company's aim is directly at women "on the go". They're stretchy, frumpy, no shape, the sizes run big (while we're at it, let's make these ladies feel better by needing a smaller size than what they would normally wear), the consultants are getting stuck with the items no one in their right mind would purchase. Sorry but your Zebra print, green background, Carly does not appeal to me. Good luck with that!

You can look sloppy shopping at any store. I shop with a consultant that actually has a boutique. So, I actually leave my house and drive 15 minutes to shop, just as I would at a "real" store. I get tons of compliments on my outfits all the time and people are shocked everytime I tell them it's Lularoe.

I didn't defend the CEO of LLR. I do think they mislead people into thinking it's easier than most related jobs.
