In this vid I fly the P-51 and I don’t handle the rudder well enough during landing, causing the plane to crash into a fencepost.

I have the same Moral you. Do repair the wing. Make sure you beef up the lightning gear. Because they have a very weak spot in the spar. Good luck with repair, please give us an up Yes very nice video
You guys need to bring your weed eater and clean up your strip, that prob wouldn't have happened, nice warbirds, flying and video's though, subscribed,;)
Dan if you review the video you gave the incorrect rudder, you gave right, about 1 or 2 seconds after touch down she's going slight right, towards the fence, then a little more, and then a noticeable hook to the right happens. It corresponds to your statement, of a little more and more and then a lot of left rudder,, which was the hook, but it was right rudder.. Your take off was fine because you were behind it on takeoff. So you need to practice rudder towards you a lot.
WHY...why did 'they' ever quit producing the GS TOP FLITE P51 ?????
Annoying music 😢
That's very unfortunate, having a nice flight and initially seemingly uneventful landing, then still ending up with so much damage...
Like you’re video but the music !!!! Prefer without
Sorry guy I’ll say it. Your rudder is with your throttle, moves side to side. I have that same plane going on 10 years and lost count of flights. So what went wrong because all my warbirds which is all I fly, pull to the left, not the right. Or did you oversize the crap out of your engine like most do and completely throw off your wing loading?
Bummer, It’s part of the sport ,unfortunately. I know how you feel. , nice flight
Hate that for you Dan. Nice flight, for the most part. Question, do you fly at what used to be Stone Mountain Airport/ Britt Field? If so, I used to fly full scale there and was a coworker of Benny Britt at Piedmont Airlines at ATL in the mid '80s. Benny was an avionics tech and I was a line mechanic. I'm now in CLT with AA but remember Benny and those days fondly.
I have the same Topflite Giant Mustang. It was a cool Mustang flight, but I'm sorry that there was a crash at the end. I hope the repair goes well.
Sorry my friend for the outcome, I know the feeling
Well damn that sucks. Is it possible to just get a new wing?
What a shame 😔 That will be very hard to find replacement parts for!! I hate that horizon hobby put t.f. out of business!! Word to the wise
