Such a massively underrated movie with an awesome ending. It was the Matrix before the Matrix.

i love the symbolism of the syringe going right in the middle of forehead (the third eye). the main character also has these big expressive eyes, like he can't stay sleep, he's awake

Kind of weird how the Strangers can “grow” and change nearly every aspect of the city with their powers but still needed to set out the physical tablecloth and candles manually…

When you have the time, watch this KIDS tv programme called "the mysterious benedict society." ep 1 & 2 is deep as hell, the whole season is deep and I strongly feel that's what is going on. Even if people denied it, how would their dumb programmed ass know haha.

The Strangers are parasitic jelly like creatures that have entered the skulls of corpses and pretend to be people. They believe if they can understand humans they can save their species from extinction. This is the reason for their experiments.
Probably we all hit something when we took that simultaneous nap while carefully stopping our cars to avoid crashes.
The first time I saw this escene with the strangers placing the slept humans into position, make me remember the Alagash abduction. They abductees said after hypnosis that the greys place them in the same location and position they found them before the abduction. Creepy as fuck.

If this movie had a sequel or at least a spinoff, it would be called Dark War.
Plot: The Strangers abducted people from three different wars from three different eras(WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War) to fight the Stranger's fabricated war.
One man who is labeled as a "traitor" must find a way out of this war with the help of a girl from the opposite side.
The Stranger's Space Station is a hollow sphere where the war is inside.
Dark War is basically America vs Japan/Korea/Vietnam except America, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam doesn't exist in this war.

Once you realize that Sutherland says every line in 3 or 4 word bursts, he gets REALLY annoying to listen to.
