the fia should make a category were there are no regulations, the teams can create what ever they can to win (unless in hurts drivers or stuff like that.). also good video!!

The FIA did something like that for Rally in the form of Group B.
And it got canned because lighter cars with powerful engines and turbo made those machines death traps for all but the tungsten balls-drivers.
In the case of open rule Formula series, unless you maintain a strict cost cap, teams will try to outspend each other to add every single system in their cars. A cost cap, especially one that is strict enough, will force teams to design a car that is unique for their team and is dependent on the skillset of the technical and aero engineers.

Also, do not forget the front wing mass damper used by Renault that helped Alonso and Renault secure the championship in 2005-mid 2006 when the FIA finally banned it mid-season.
Funny enough, systems like the Mass Damper, DAS, and Active Suspension were banned under the FIA regulation of "moveable aerodynamics."
Thanks Dan! This may help folks understand some basics aboot Formula 1! And yup, they simply had to ban "Fan" cars. Those things can throw pebbles through people. If every car had them there would be mayhem everywhere!
