yes!, thank you, been searching and searching for a side by side on these two. The trailrunner is now $275, trying to see if I'd miss the newer version features or not.

It's a tough choice! IFS2 + Stealth XF or the IFS1 + Stealth X + ball bearings + much better body? Honestly, I wasn't too thrilled with having to replace the bushing for bearings in the Utron. I also feel like the body can only be saved in the looks department by the Knight Customs 3D printed parts. It's kind of oddly shaped in the cab and rear areas. The body for the Trailrunner wins hands down. I also actually prefer the StealthX vs the XF transmission. I think if I really wanted IFS2, I'd just pick it up separately or get the upcoming IFS2 Zuul.

@@RevolutionX ended up getting a clearance priced trailrunner then they had a $30 coupon so I put that towards a IFS2 conversion kit.

You know, a few months ago I bought my son the IFS trailrunner (Red), and he loves it, I love it. The IFS reminds me of my 2002 Chevy Tahoe. Scale wise. People have to understand that the IFS trailrunner is mostly for trails, and some small-ish rocks. Or else it would have been designed for actual rock crawling. Not everything has to be about rocks. Just enjoy trailing or hill climbing with it! The IFS 2? I just wish there was a builders kit version instead. Love your videos/reviews btw.

Thanks! You hit it exactly right about the IFS 1. It's great out on the trail and hills. While I have done difficult "rock climbing" with my IFS converted Trailwalker, the IFS 1 Really shines on my Knightrunner out on the trails and hills for scale driving. From what I understand a builder's kit for the IFS2 itself is being planned for release later. I haven't heard of any kit being planned for a full IFS scale truck though. ✌️

I'm a big fan of Enduro. Especially, I like Sendero and Gatekeeper. I was curious about the IFS vs IFS2 video, so I watched it more seriously. I tried the IFS kit, and I remember that the steering was weak when the weight work and body became heavy on the wheel due to the structure. I was considering buying IFS2 Utros and this video was very helpful.
    Thank you.

Yes the new IFS2 is definitely stronger with the way it's set up. Word is that the IFS2 conversion kits should be coming!

Front Diff. In my utron is already stripped out. 3rd time run in my level back yard. At 66 i Abuse nothing mechanical.

Interesting! I wonder if yours still had too much play. The IFS1 had issues with the small 3rd member bearing failing and allowing too much play. The IFS2 was supposed to solve this with the bigger bearings. I did, however, notice that they added shims to the diff gear for the IFS2 when I took it apart. I wonder if yours wasn't shimmed right, or maybe not shimmed enough?

That's interesting. I've been beating the hell out of my trailrunner, brushless on 3s, for a few years now. The front diff stripped after about 18 months, but only when my neighbor took it off a jump and lawndarted while on the throttle. I imagine the diff was improperly shimmed on your rig, or it's an issue with the ifs2.
