IMO it makes sense to get Micro SD cards with large amounts of storage space because the FiiO M11 and M11 Pro can both play lossless and Hi-res music files. Since those files have very high bit rates, you need a lot of space on the Micro SD cards. Especially if you have a lot of music.

I find that volume is less a concern for me in terms of drivability (I'm usually a fairly quiet listener at around 70 to 80dB), but I do want to ensure that, by and large for a portable player, dynamics are preserved. With a 400GB card I have a small bit of room left after loading up my 24/96 FLAC library (approx. 6000+ songs) for some Tidal downloads. I also like to listen to audiobooks. However if I load both FLACS and books onto the same card then everything shows up in the same menu. As a result I do not keep my audiobooks on my DAP. At this time I am thinking about partitioning a 512GB card into two separate drives and using one for music and the other partition for books. The price pf the 512GB cards has dropped below $80 now so I think it's time to try it out.

Yes and no. a 3.5mm to RCA cable will work. For remote control, the FiiO music app can remote control the music app itself (but not other apps) remotely. Remote control I don't think is really possible, unless you can find something on the Google Play store or another app store. For streaming to a fixed system, I'd be more inclined to set up a suitable desktop system with DLNA or Roon, though the latter doesn't have Spotify.

It means that the software does not alter the music before it is decoded by the DAC into analog. For example, a digital volume control will alter the music to reduce the volume level. Android, by default, alters the sample rate of the music before conversion (or digital output to another device). It does this using poor quality conversion, which is no good if you have high-quality audio gear. FiiO and other manufacturers use a modified version of Android that doesn't do this.
