Only ABBA can make you dance with tears in your eyes!
"Ultravox joined the chat"
Ohh yeas..dancing with tears in my eyes..what a good song
@@Lemuren77 Lol!
@@Lemuren77 Exactly "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes", but also Tears For Fears with that line from "Mad World": " all the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had".
Midge Ure knows better LOL
This song is devious, they lure you in with the catchy tune, and smash you with the lyrics,
Yes, 100%
I would say it's twisted
Most swedish people
Every - damn - time.
This song is a true masterpiece. Bjorn wrote the lyrics shortly after their divorce. So much pain in those words. Benny at the piano did the tunes. Agnetha delivered one of the best pop performances ever and all in one take. Just stunning. Simply stunning.
So they broke up because of Agnetha, or that was Bjorn decision? If he wrote those lyrics based on private life, that means she left him, not otherwise.
@carsonix78 Well, not exactly the song is "about A" separation, not specifically theirs. Björn said that he came up with the idea for the song because of their divorce, so the feeling are absolutely true and real. But the song is still fiction and not based on their own divorce.
Mate, to be singing this with such pain, and her husband to be the EX, standing right there next you too ?? Simply raw talent...
Two couples breaking up in a band makes for fabulous music. As ABBA and Fleetwood Mac proved
Agnetha has said that this is her favorite Abba song. She told that this song represent feelings of both her husband ( who wrote the lyrics and playing guitar beside her) and her.

ABBA are the all time masters of break-up songs. The band consisted of two married couples. The guy at the piano (Benny) married the brunette (Anni-Frid) and the guitarist (Björn) was married to the blonde (Agnetha).
The boys wrote the songs and the girls performed them and for decades ABBA ruled the charts as one of the most successful pop-bands ever. Neither of their marriages survived though. Going through a heartbreaking divorce Björn wrote "The winner takes it all" and Agnetha performed it standing next to him on stage. If anything, ABBA were professionals to the core. Try and listen to "Knowing me, knowing you"...
Great INFO!! thanks.
Thanks for the back story, making this song even more amazing.
I was a fan before I knew English or Swedish.
Seems like most of their live performances were lip synched like this one. It was common back then. Bjorn and Benny were great song writers and producers though.
@@darrellkramer8097 May have to do with the complexity of the mixing to make it "pop" as much as it does.
And God said “ Humans have put up with some shit. I’ll give them ABBA.” Sorted !
Ooohh Agnetha, Agnetha... one of the hottest women ever ever ever... 😍😍😍❤❤❤
Agreed... I had the biggest crush on her.....still do. She's one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen....
I have to agree. I'm female and straight but Oh well facts are facts 😶
Absolutely agree what a beautiful lady and incredible singer 😍
They are part of my childhood !
She is perfect!
The four members of ABBA deserve every penny of the millions they've accumulated
Agnetha's voice probably is one of the best ever herd she is top draw they don't sing like that any more and she still is singing today fantastic!
I can't believe he made her sing that song. After dumping her with kids, and then composing a song to make things even harder and crueler to her. The meanest thing to do ever.
A masterpiece.
Hi, I'm a musician and play guitar in Classic rock, heavy rock and metal bands, however..........ABBA are my guilty pleasure and this song always brings a tear to my eye an absolute masterpiece from the kings and queens of pop.
yeah. im mostly rock/heavy guy but i love abba 😁
This has to be one of the most absolute beautiful songs ever made!!!!
Yeah. Imagine singing THAT song, with your ex literally 3 feet away from you on the stage. Epic.
Benny and Bjorn were master lyrists and composers, and the girls could really sing!
This is the most beautiful reaction to this song I have seen.
This song is an internal monologue, the things that she wants to say but won't because that would break wherever is left of her, and him, apart. The "rules" are the social norms, where the Swedes, their country, hold stoicism high. So when he comes to shake her hand, civility has replaced intimacy, and her heart still craves what they once had.
And even there, in a place where she has been so hurt, she doesn't want him to be hurt by her words or even her demeanour. This is a stage beyond intimacy, this is self sacrificing love.
Still caring for him...
@Brendan H, you have provided the best analysis of this song, which makes it even more mind-blowing that Bjorn (ex-husband/guitarist) wrote these lyrics for Agnetha (ex-wife) to sing, while standing on stage next to him.
This is the best description I have heard of this amazing song. Beautifully put
Yes. They did this without auto tune or featured rapper. No T+A. Just pure raw talent. 400 million or more records sold... Chiquitita or Fernando or One of us next please 👌🔥❤️
You're so right !
In those days there was no autotune. Either you sang so that you touched people
- in or out of tune (Monica Zetterlund sometimes was a bit off, but never ever bad) -
or you were out of the game.
You can lodge your complaints with Miss Mariah Carey.
She is responsible for “featured rappers”
in the 1970"s ABBA were at one point as big as the Beatles and I saw them live they were outstanding
The masterpiece of the masterpieces
As an ABBA Fan i know this song in and out since it´s release. But i still have goose bumps. And i can cry with tears, darling *love*
Me too
And that voice. All real, before digital enhancing.
Heart breaking since 1980 and forever on. Top 10 songs of all time - long live ABBA.
Abba is up there with queen and beatles as the all time greats. Their song library is stacked with only hits. Not one bad song
The beatles were crap and over rated 2 out of 3 ain't bad
ABBA is this a 2021 release
Beatles contemporary with Elvis, the 60s right?
Thank You for your beautiful insight Uncle Barbro
@@tonydoherty2190 Give your head a wobble.
Yeah. Even the King Kong Song is great!
They have so many famous songs from my home country Sweden, mama Mia, dancing queen, Fernando,
And A&U are the tip of the iceberg, too. Tons of songwriting talent in Sweden, then and now...
Ulrika Rosen has just done a song about her own daughter.
We have Barbie-Girl in Denmark 🤣🤣🤣
the human mind would have a hard time contemplating just how huge ABBA was in their heyday..
Yes girl feel the beauty and grace of the music of abba!
The feature about this song is that the lyrics were written by Bjorn, the guy who plays the acoustic guitar, for his ex-wife Agnetha, the girl who sings it.
"But tell me does she kiss, like I used to kiss you?..."
ABBA is pure Magic
Very visceral reaction to a terribly sad song. I don't suppose it will make you feel better to know this was written about her divorce from her husband who is one of the guys in the video. ABBA are legendary. Some of the most beautiful harmonizing, catchy melodies and those girls can sang! You could react to anything of theirs, probably it was a hit back in the day..their catalog is huge!
2023 n still makes me cry this song.. Go back to 80s my happy n sad days of love, divorce n loss.
ABBA is still great and I only say: ABBA thank you for YOUR music!
Timeless Songs, its touches any heart for ever …
Greetings from Sweden 😊😊 so proud that ABBA are my countrymen 🥰🥰
Agnetha said that this was her favourite song. And it's an autobiographic song.
after so many years i now understand this song...and yes...it is as sad and terrible as it is in real life....thank you for the video dear...
There are so many beautiful ABBA songs - try Dancing Queen! This song is 45 years old this year - best song ever
I mean, it's ABBA. There's almost no woman over 50 who doesn't know and like their songs in Europe. Just like my mom :))
What an amazing band they were their songs we're so good
Agnetha is as close you can come to the voice of an Angel. Fantastic pure talent long before autotune.
Welcome to the start of your Abba journey...still a long way to go. The greatest pop group...ever.
If Abba had partecipated to Eurovision with this song.... they wouldn't won..... they would iper-super-won!
FANTASTIC!!!
I’ll always love this song.
Sweden, Sweden, Sweden, what talents you create! What is it with this little country in the North? Answer: one of their treasures is / has been that they have a natural aptitude for singing and for music in general. It is in their genes. See for example "allsång på Skansen", Stockholm, where they meet and sing together once a week in the summertime. And their people's soul goes very, very deep. ABBA was one of the very first artists to be known outside of Scandinavia. A big hug from Norway, neighbour of Sweden.
This is the best ABBA song!
A Beautiful song and a beautiful reaction. Thank you.
Abba has many great songs, check them out
Каждый вспоминает свою историю
There goes that beautiful smile
ABBA is magical
" ABBA" the best of world!!
It's a big statement I know, but surely this has got to be one of the greatest songs in the history of pop music. Agneta's vocals are second to none .
I totally agree 👍she has a voice of an angel and gives me goosebumps every time I hear this song
Great band
Abba had so much real and raw talent. The two women had the most melodic voices. They vibed with each other naturally. I love this music.
This song is such a Masterpiece! There are no artists making songs like this anymore. Why?
Cuz they cant...
Abba was without a "once in a life time" phenomenon.
Even if music was still based on skill and talent, they couldnt match this.
The fact that skill and talent has almost nothing to do with music anymore, anyhope of someone making something even remotely close to this is a pipe dream.
Thanks to technological advancements you dont actually need talent to be a musician these days.
As long as you get 14 year old girls soak their panties or have enough cleavage to make 14 year old boys show up even if they dont like the music, youre golden.
If you cant sing or play doesnt matter, that can be fixed in post porduction.
What you CANt fix in post production is someones face.
So... they prioritizes hot people with no talent.
This is why 50% of Paradise Hotel bimbos gets fakking record deals after the show ends.
The big brain-twister is how this song came out 41 years ago to this date... (1980) and not a single person I've know haven't heard of this song here in Sweden. Great music is great!
언제 들어도 불후에명곡 입니다 20대 시절의 추억이 많은 곡입니다
When you're 10 you can like Dancing Queen (as many ABBA fans were then), you've got to be a lot older and to have gone through the mill to realise how great this song is.
The "Judges" are the Gods.
Dont be sad, lovely lady, just a song. Brilliant and memorable, but just a song!
The best group ever ever ever ............
Please react to ABBA Slipping thru my Fingers live version and Thank you for the Music !
Best band ever! period!
The legendary Agnetha Faltskog eventually became something of a recluse; escaping the public eye that turned ABBA into one of the biggest pop groups in the world. In their heyday they had little critical acclaim but sold by the armful. One suggestion is that the group was Sweden's second biggest export after Volvo cars!
Abba my favorites back in the day always pleasure to listen unfortunately the quit shortly after this but there is one just starting Out already the greatest Vocalist on the planet...

I'm missing Your Angelina. reactions lots has happen since Your last reaction she has come up with quite a few New songs, both Originals and Covers I subbed to your channel in hope to see more Angelina reactions I really liked Your reactions and I hope to see You back I have followed Your Elvis reactions as well and no one covers Elvis as good as Angelina 🎶👼🏻👣👸🏻🌟

That’s exactly how I react every time I hear this song. When you’re ready for another tear fest listen to ‘The Day Before You Came’ and ‘Fernando’. God bless!
Yeah...I watched them live,my father took me to their concert in 1980. I was 9 years old and I will never forget it.
ABBA = feelings
Best pop group of all time.
It's really nice to see the younger generation listening to the music I grew up with. There was a lot of talent back then and it was normal for a song to last 15 minutes. Another song you might like is "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton.
Love yours reaction. It´s a very sad song, to lose one that you loved.
i just watched u... you are so pretty. you are so beatiful, you are so natural. thanks for your reaction darling. five stars!
❤❤❤❤❤
One of those Happy Sounding Sad Songs we don't make any more, ala; Boy with the thorn in his Side (The Smiths) Mad World/Who wants to Rule the World (Tears for Fears) It must be Love (Madness) 80s really had a beat!
I just love your reaction to this wonderful song,a true masterpiece of a song, one of the greatest of all time.
So much beauty in here...
'Knowing Me, Knowing You' is stellar like many of their songs, but this one flies under the radar a little bit as for a recognition.
Lady, Abba is HUGE!
Love your reactions your face conveys it all thank you
This was a very challenging time in Abba's Career. Agnetha (The Blond) and Bjorn (Her Ex Husband the Clean Shaven One), were in the middle of a Divorce and Benny & Frida would also break up. They broke up in 1982.
This ABBA song is technically the best
I saw some very emotional scenes, you really felt it. I could see it. Isn't she just so beautiful. Agnetha was a great singer.
This song I dedicated to my mom that she pass away 25 years ago, she love to hear this song, and every time I hear this I feel so sad 😭 literally I cry.
I love anything ABBA, I have since I was in high school in the 80s. Your reaction made me tear up and you sure cant go wrong with them. Well done!
Agnetha has a beautiful CD called A some lovely songs
Man! Time goes by fast. I was a teenager then, now iam nearly sixty-one.
About 10 years ago they turned down a billion dollars for one live reunion concert.
They've written a number of billion-dollar musicals, Chess and of course Mama Mia, they are not short of cash.
No, they were offered a billion dollars for a YEAR LONG tour. That's a huge difference from a single concert. When you are 60-70 years old, a year of hard work is not much to look forward to.
@@johnPaul-qn3dg The tax rate in Sweden in the 1970s was 90% for the rich, so they didn't make as much as you might expect. The boys are worth ten times what the girls are worth, because they can profit from future recordings of their songs (such as the Mamma Mia movies), while the girls get income only from their old recordings (such as the ABBA GOLD record.) Anna-Frid married a prince later in life, who has since died, so she probably inherited a large portion of his estate. The entire group lost a lot of money because they let their manager invest it and the investments failed.
@@TheNameOfJesus Agnetha must get some money from her own songs. Only one made it onto an Abba studio album (not surprising given the competition) but she's written quite a number of hit records for herself and others both pre and post ABBA that have been successful in Europe and elsewhere. In addition she has recorded about a dozen solo albums both pre and post ABBA totalling several million sales. Her first post ABBA album sold 1.5 million in its first year. Her net worth on several sites is reported as around $200 million. Bjorn at around $300 million. These are probably not accurate numbers but I doubt the boys are worth ten times as much.
But now they are working on a couple of new songs.. cant wait to hear them
Nice to see you for first time
And with your first reaction to the Swedish pop group ABBA, that leads in the 70s (the decade after BEATLES)
ABBA was an acrostic with the initials of their first names (and was two couples too):
Agnetha (blonde singer) &
Björn (guitarist songwriter)
Benny (barder pianist songwriter) &
Anni Frid (brunette singer)
ABBA recording between 1972/1982 and
was famous to win the Eurovision Song Contest in England 1974 with your iconic song "Waterloo"
ABBA had more than 20 worldwide hits, included:
Waterloo
Mamma Mia
Fernando
Dancing Queen
Take a chance on me
"The winner takes it all" (1980) is a Masterpiece of ABBA
And a fantasic interpretation by the lead singer, the blonde
Agnetha Fältskog, with Her emotional and powerful voice (She has a sopramo voice)
The lyrics is about a divorce story, writen by the guitarist Björn and singing by his ex wife Agnetha
It's one of the most heartbroken songs ever
It was a performing in Germany TV
The next song in this show was "Super Trouper", with lead voice by the brunette Anni Frid

Love a reaction of ABBA - The Last Video!
unbelievable voice Agnetha has!
It's just a song. But it's not, everyone that has had a bad breakup feels emotional when hearing this.
It was her life in a song
Their music is timeless
The song was actually real life for all 4 band members who were at one time 2 married couples. 😓
A woman that beautiful should never be heartbroken
There break through song was “Waterloo” in 1974. They are with out question, together with The Beatles, the best band that ever made music. Listen to all there songs, and you will find your self in many different emotions. For a upbeat feeling try to listen to “I do, I do, I do, I do, I do”. Or even better “Does Your Mother Know”.
Wowwww! Together with "the Beatles", really? A good band yes, but, NOT one that transcends their era. Therefore, not even close to being in the same "sport", let alone the same "league" as The Beatles.
@@gp3646
If you think how many songs or albums did each band the difference is important:
BEATLES +180 songs 13 albums
ABBA +120 songs 9 albums
if you think the leads
BEATLES leads 60s
ABBA leads 70s
if you think post split
ABBA had a new revival with movies and musicals
I believe that BEATLES was the greatest band of all times
but ABBA was inmediatly behind Them
@@gp3646 you have to go through all their Albums. 80 percent of their songs were great and most of the others good. Not just the few that most people have heard off hand and love. Masterpieces that revolutionised genres or are works that still stand as utterly unique without compare are in there in quantities that other bands except the beatles haven't come close to on the whole. Lyric writing, as well as composition wise. And then that sound.
Now don't get me wrong. The 70s were a big time full of revolutionary advancements in music. ABBA really did a lot more than most realise in todays world. Have a look.
Beatles??? I wouldn’t put them in the top 100!!!
Welcome to the "rabbit hole" of ABBA music, they have so many hits you can't imagine, second to the beatles they are the most succesful group in the world.
Very nice song. Beautiful reaction.
this reaction made me smile. what a great thing it is to see people react to good music!
This one hit a heartstring with you.
