    For me personally, discovering that warframes are infested people was a really cool moment. I wasn't expecting such horror-ish story from this game at all.
    We see the process of creating one of the warframes in Umbra's quest, but it's a small part of the whole process, I believe. If I remember right, Orokin was also altering minds of warframes, leaving no memories of the host body, messing with their emotions and such. But yet they remained uncontrollable, which wasn't fixed untill Tenno took the stage.
    And, of course, these procedures were completed no matter if a person agreed or if they did not.
    Crafting warframes feels messed up too. If we only make copies, why than Umbra got all of his memories, all of his pain, all of his anger still intact? Does it happen for every frame we craft? Do we have to deal with pain of every different warframe that we own?

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  Před 4 měsíci +24

      So from a little digging, it seems that Umbra had something called an Umbral Transference Bolt in him which is part of the reason why he was able to retain his memories (that and sheer angry). And yup! The tenno at least had to share/quiet the emotions and memories of at least the original Warframes. Since the tenno had already gone through such traumatic stuff from their time on the Zariman, they could relate to the Warframes pain and work with them.

      Well, now all warframes are just suits except for Umbra

    • @UmbraFulgur
      @UmbraFulgur Před 4 dny

      @@corgthemighty, quite the opposite. Every frame have a transference bolt. That temper their identity and make them "bio-drones". But the first generation of warframes didn't had transference and were able to retain their memories, their inner self, like Sorren (Stalker), Jade, Gara and many others.
      Only the copies we made have transference systems.
      Umbra it's a special case .
      Btw, without transference kit, every single one of them will behave exactly like Umbra.
      What we do are indeed copies, but perfect copies nonetheless. Next time, when you craft a new frame look closely to what materials you use.
      It's said, humans are stardust (the most rare and complex elements from the heart of a dying star are in a human body), and think at perfect bioengineering of the Orokin, the seamless cloning tech (Grineer) and you'll have the answer about our freshly crafted bio drones, if are still individuals or not.

    Also the Helminth in the Operator (you the player's ship) can feed it so it can prodiuce bio matter which you can use to swap out and inject other powers into other warframes which requires you to feed Wallnut a frame you don't want to use anymore (like Non-Prime versions of Warframes) to get said powers.

    interesting detail that makes the orokin seem SLIGHTLY less incompetent is that the sentient can fairly easily take control of machines. Hence they needed something that wasn't machines to fight the sentient. Thus weaponizing the biological infested seemed like a somewhat logical conclusion. This is also what lead ballas to the realisation of combining the idea of machines (they created the sentients and that didn't go well) and biology (the infestation which also didn't go well) by creating the warframes, which as mentioned initially were just supposed to remain loyal and sane, which they didn't. Thank god we have random void kids mumbling about tapping against walls.

The fact that it doesn't matter if you volunteered or not just kinda proves they're egotistic sociopaths. Can't even blame the Sentients when they tried to bite the hand that made them.
    I half-expected the video to have a segment about the Entrati family in Deimos though. They're the Orokin that got infected. And I honestly wonder if it's why they're more likeable than the average Orokin. Maybe the infestation isn't so bad after all.

    wait, I thought the "Son" of the Entrati family was the reason infestation broke out of the lab? because in the cutscenes for reaching certain ranks in standings, it was revealed that the "Son" let the infested go in purpose, so that "Mother" would pay more attention to him. Did I misunderstand or am I missing something? This game's lore is wild so I need some help 😅

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  Před 4 měsíci

      You're totally good. From my understanding, when Deimos got bio-bomb, the Entrati family initially hid in their bunker essentially. They were relatively safe, but then yes the Son did eventually let things in. So the planet was already screwed anyways, the Son just made it worse for the family.

    Some were Orokin citizens, though there are...others as well.
    Ranging from an amalgamation of random body parts resewn together after their Warframes were deemed "failures."
    A cyborg can apparently become infested as well, implying the Helminth is capable of similar feets to the Mutalist strain.
    There's Quorvex, supposedly there was no body with the frame built around something refered to as the "Crucible Core" by the Orokins most esteemed. How? I have no idea, and I fear the answer.
    Then there is Wisp, who supposedly was a well-endowed subject in the same manner as Dagath; but, the origin of her Prime implies that Wisp is not of our universe or timeline thanks to Eternalism.

    Love this video but there is a thing that is wrong with it, that being the origin of the technocyte because in the newest lore it is suggested that instead of being created by the orokin it actually already existed (my source is the entrati fragments in the newest update)

      @corgthemighty np! Also, another fun fact: the grey strain has the ability to make gigantic creatures and were, in fact, created by our favorite orokin (that is not Ballas) eho we call Albert Entrati in an attempt to keep the murmur at an ears length, the first experiments being those giant statues we see in his labs

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Great question! So every Warframe built in the modern day is a clone of one of the originals. So you're not sacrificing a new person to make one, but you are kinda sorta 3D printing a copy of a mutated orokin citizen corpse.

    ...I believe that I am saying this, but I am thankful that this is not a viral video. Because while the surprise is already years old, openly speaking of the game lore with most of it it's story quests in one big summary only makes interested players who wants to play for the story is disenchanting them for that experience and are also making most of them bound to just pack up and leave.
    In other videos, it's fine. Because they'll be adding a spoiler warning. At the title. Or in the video.
    While I understand this 'Movie Years ago, we can spoil now' mentality, those are movies. This is a game that requires you to invest 100 hours to get a small sip of another cinematic cutscene.
    I know that this sounds small but I asked people that plays new games like Helldivers usually say 100 hours is already a huge investment.
    So please if you could, all O would ask for is to add a spoiler at the title.
    People who want to spoil themselves could easily find the video. I know that there are already a ton of videos speaking and spoiling about this but let's not add more oil to the fire.
    Meh, what the hell am I saying, it's already there.

    Ah ok you got it.
    Theres also a possibility that other hives are like an outpost still connected to the main Hivemind, which we still dont know where its located, each strain with the exception of Helminth are connected to the main hivemind in some way as Alad was trying his hardest to resist it, same with the Entrati they heard the hivemind telling them to let the heart stop.

    • @corgthemighty
      @corgthemighty  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Did a little extra digging for this and realized my explanation is kind of half right. When we build Warframes, we seem to be making a copy of the original Warframe that was made way back when. So we're not making a brand new human sacrifice, but we are kind of 3-D printing a model of a deformed infestation corpse. Does that make sense?
