Here's something fun. The Void operates off of quantum mechanics in some way.
It's like a big Schrodinger's Cat.
Unless observed, all possibilities exist.
When Albrecht entered the void unprotected, possibility collapsed into one, the void embodied the most powerful thing which drives the Orokin, their self-centeredness
And congrats, Albrecht is now the father of an eldritch horror that takes the form of those around it.
Most important lore tidbit about Albrecht, his voice is like liquid gold! Could listen to that man read the dictionary and I'd be hooked.
For real, at this point i am convinced his throat is made of silk.
Apparently he narrates books as well which is totally fitting. Now we need a lofi playlist of him talking on CZcams lol
Taking one of the best lore characters and just making him a main character was such an amazing move IMO.
Also I always thought only one of The Man's fingers were severed by the Wall of Lohk, since most depictions of The Man are only missing one index finger, and it's made clear that the fingers we see in reliquary drives are copies, but apparently not.
@@roadkillwaffle9847 i think since we (the player) are only counted as one tenno in lore, all of the fingers in the railjacks are that one finger
@@roadkillwaffle9847 Yup! The fingers were cloned, however Entrati says "The pale reaching digits severed on the floor..." when recalling the cut fingers.
@@frumpsterfire Yes we're all counted as one Tenno in lore, but Archimedian Yonta mentions the "originals" when referring to them, and there used to be many more Railjacks.

I believe only one finger was chopped off- the Orokin used their technology to duplicate it.
I've seen it both ways so just decided to go with multiple cause the visual sounded cooler.

I might be wrong, but, i thought that when Albrecht entered the portal for the first time, the first thing he saw was his own lab.
He did, and assumed he had never left, then he saw his doppelganger.

The indifference always seek for different things. Albrecht was one of those things... He was the first to venture into the Void afterall.
It likes things that care so much about certain things that they forgot the rest.
For example: Albrecht cared do much about stopping The Indifference that he negatively affected everyone around them and treated everyone like experiments.
He liked us because we are so busy doing the right things that we kill millions in the process.
DE and Amazon should make a Warframe Series with these kinds of back stories.

They want to keep Earth pure so humanity can return to it with a religious tone, thats pretty much the extent of it

They hate everything not natural and want to restore earth to how it was before terraforming.
You might want to wait with the Stalker lore video for a few months anyway. The next big update "Jade Shadows" is confirmed to revolve all around him, meaning we are likely going to get to learn much more about him than what we know now.
Good to know! Also, love the name of the update. Wonder if its gonna have to do with the Jade Light and executions and stuff.
@@corgthemighty Considering this is the Stalker and punishment and executions are kinda his thing, I'd say those odds are very likely.
@@corgthemighty Before you make that Stalker video, be sure to check the graves next to Teshin in the relay. There's a grave with Jade's feathers on it that tells her story and gives more insight on Stalker's as well.
Small spoiler: Screw Ballas. Every time I think he's reached the top of the mountain he keeps showing entirely new ways of petty cruelty.

I should actually be able to cover a big chunk of it in part 2. Will probably make the 1999 stuff it's own episode largely, like I'll mention it and give a brief overview, but leave most of the info for an in-depth video.
We have Ultimis and Primis Tenno, now there's Albrechtofen touching the VPD. What's next, a fractured time paradox existing off-dimension and a time traveling crew to set things right? Oh. Right.

But from what I understand Albrecht was already dead in the last story quest we had, so the Albrecht we see in 1999 when we play Arthur for the first time is just the man in the wall in Albrecht skin (but maybe i just misunderstood because it was the past and all of that,I guess we'll see in the futures updates )

My current biggest contention with the lore in the game is the lack of context of timescale. Like was all this Orikin business going on 50 years ago? 200 year? 10,000 years ago? It all seems to be relative to the past.

Honestly Entrati not looking like he did in his protrait annoys me a lot for a 2 reasons:
1)No one talks about it
2)He looked so much cooler. I love the orokin look that the Entrati family and default Balas had. Him and loid being just dudes with a bit of Gold highlights is boring
I am interested to see if I can find a lore reason for that because potentially he changed his body to look like that to throw of the man in the wall or something. But yes, a bit of a strange change.
@@corgthemighty I dont know if changing bodies would be enough to fool a Full metal Alchemist Truth wannabe. I can totally imagine the man in the wall saying something like this when he sees entrati in the void the first time

Also i wont buy that he changed bodies because of his injuries from returning from the void.
If the Orokin can bio engineer what is basically "Pseudo Divine space-time manipulating fungus" and are advanced enough in robotics to make ever evolving self replicating robots with sapient AI, they sure can heal his voice box, skin and eyes or grow New ones for him
We know that the blue look is due to some form of body-modding, which could be tied to Kuva. Albrecht forsake Kuva and Continuity and it's possible that, after regrowing new skin and being nursed by Loid, his body simply started "aging" normally and he looks more like a regular human than Orokin. Note how no Orokin have body hair (or hair at all in some cases) whereas Albrecht has grown a beard and grayed.
That said - he is still very pale and kinda blueish, you can easily see it in the intro sequence to WITW when he touches Loid, the difference in skin tone is very obvious.
/why/ he changed his look could be tied to fitting in 1999 - a blue guy walking around would look probably really weird.
Also it seems the change was quite recent - the Zariman portraits are obviously drawn at the height of his popularity and Acrithis in the Duviri fragments describes his look like in the portrait (his hair being tied in coils); and Albrecht's trip to Duviri happens sometime after the Cavia experiments. This could also mean that the 1999 look is specifically to fit into 1999 and by that time Albrecht and Loid had basically locked themselves in the basement - nobody is going to talk about Albrecht's new look if he has gone missing and maybe nobody even /knows/ he has changed.

Yes, the void was researched in order to create a means of faster then light travel to colonize the neighboring solar system "TAU-Ceti".
And it did work, The Zariman 10-0 being the best example, although it was sabotaged and things went "Event horizon" real fast.

Though I wouldn't say it worked, as they didn't reached Tau as far as I know and they ended up with a ship between dimensions, a bunch of dead adults and magical kids

Great questions! Just to add on, the Zariman kind of seemed to be a rushed hail-mary that wasn't really as ready as it should be. Void tech was able to get them to Tau (kind of), since the Sentients were meant to build a Void Solar Rail on their way to the system (the Orokin just didn't really get to make full use out of it cause of big War)

From what I can tell Loid might not have been in the lab one day. The Requiem word entries specifically say that his "sluggish attendants" were there, and I don't think he would have called Loid sluggish. But it also sounds like Loid might've already been in his employ so he might just not have been there that day (or its a retcon cause we know Loid healed his wounds)
