- This used to be on CZcams but got taken down but luckily 2021 me liked this performance enough to save it on my phone 😮💨
I will take this video down if the master of this recording (although unknown) or if any of the performers in this video ask!
Wicked (West End)
Kerry Ellis (s/b Elphaba), Helen Dallimore (Glinda)
Any comments hating on the performers and their performances (or just negative comments in general) WILL be deleted.
The audacity of Kerry to come out as a standby and absolutely smash this song out 😂 the vibrato on "It's me", the growls, the power 😍😍
THE GROWL OH MY GOD
Best voice out of any elphaba. Ever. No one even comes close
The power is just out of this world.
Just… INCREDIBLE!! 😍💚
Bless youuuuu ❤
Thankyou so much for this! I have loved this audio and missed it so much since it disappeared years ago! I could cry haha!
Me too! I'm so lucky that I saved this cause the full audio that's traded around is nowhere near as high in quality as this snippet. I recommend saving the ones you like because you never know how long they're up on CZcams for
Spectacular
The power ❤❤❤
wow!
Oo where is this picture from? It looked like the screenshots of Alexia’s 2009 video and I had to do a double take
A person by the name of noonemourns in the early days of the West End production managed to get a lot of really good captures but they never came into circulation (e.g. Kerry‘s last show in 2009 and Alexia‘s last in 2010 and Sabrina Carter as Elphaba) and that’s where this screenshot is from. A video of Alexia in 2008 from the side of the stalls came out and is i’m pretty sure the most well known capture of her during that run and the shaky video of Kerry‘s last in 2014 came out but nothing else afaik. Still hoping for the day atleast a little snippet from any of those videos come out 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wasn’t she standbying for Idina?
Yes you are correct! She opened the show as the standby for Elphaba before assuming the role fulltime after Idina left
Who was the understudy then ?@@mathshascalculus725
