    Great tutorial, thanks!
Also, another way to find your nodes if they're lost off-screen is to press 'Home'.

Is it possible to add an object / editable curve as an obstacle that the curve must never cross ?

That’s amazing thank you so much for this tutorial! I do have a few questions to ask tho! First of all, how do you get the growth to be so fast in the timeline? Mine doesn’t do half what yours does even when i set it as far as 3000 frames. Do you have a solution to make it develop quicker/ like yours? Maybe i missed a step? Second question, after doing all of this, when i try to add color with the color ramp it just doesn’t work and my line stays purely black. Stayed black and white in the geometry node editor when we tried to plug it to the viewer node at first, then stayed purely black after switching to the shader editor and adding back the color ramp there. Would you have an idea why this is happening? Thank you so much again!

Hi there, sorry for the late answer. A lot of the times where I let it run, the video is actually sped up. I could have made that a bit clearer, sorry. How well it runs is mainly dependent on your CPU but with this kind of system, as it gets more complex, there will always be a point where it won't run in real time. But to speed up testing simulation setups, you can switch your scenes framerate to something higher as the simulation zone is frame dependent. So setting your FPS to 60 or even 120 can save you a lot of waiting time as long as it runs faster than realtime.
So if the curve is still in black and white, you might want to check the input of the viewer node and if its set to float or color. If its still set to float, hold ctrl and shift and click on the colorramp.
As for the shaded view, do you have set up the Hair Emtpy System or have you used a Curve to Mesh node to make it visible? If it's still only a line it won't be able to render.

is it possible to grow lines inside another shape that acts like barrier?

    This is great!
But your blend file crashes 100% on v4 build.
I'll have to try and recreate the file from scratch following this video.
