My wife painted the kitchen pantry door with blackboard paint like that. Now I can leave her helpful information and suggestions when I'm on my way out to work.

Follow your dream! Itchyban inspired me to follow mine and so far today I've made two chalkboards. That's only since lunchtime. Tomorrow I'm planning to make four, and maybe five on Friday. I'm not sure how much to ask for them, but they do their own marketing - I just write 'For Sale' on them and hang them up. And on one of them I wrote, "I quit my job today hun". I know she'll support me - accountancy was so dull.

Always use genuine wood-grade Diamond Paper. I've tried using cheaper brands but it was like sanding with burnt toast.

How did you hang that up? Maybe some chalkboard rated wire ties? Red I'm thinking.

that's badass, it'd be bitchen if you got a request board, i gotta knock out a few multion tubes. it's the last thing aforn i put it all back together, the carbs. hey i just got an idea. instead of takin em out, i could use a pipe cleaner, dipped in carb spray to unclog em! and high pressure air, BAM! telleportation.

I think you should have used the diamond sheers for the mitres it would have saved you the hand finishing with the diamond paper.

I forgot the board and just sprayed the wall black and sellotaped chalk to it... however I cannot take the list with me to the shops unless I cut a section of wall out and lift it into the van...

Yes I did... it's a Renault spanner.... as its French, it's only really usefull for reverse gears.... I hope you find a use for it on your cafe racer...

Didn't you see him hang it up? And the chalk didn't slide off, did it? So you've answered your own question. You should never doubt the wisdom of the Itchyban.
But when he pressed the chalk on the board it's opacity isn't consistent. I guess he's just stroking multiple times to get the chalk on the board.
