    Beautiful piece, i noticed what looked like a big crack on it (???) when you were turning, (@ 2.30 ish).
    Just wondering did you do anything to glue it or the like.
    Brilliant video, well done.

      I used a little brown CA glue to fill the crack

    Wonderful watching you work! Which air flow headgear are you using and does it tend to dry your eyes out? Thanks!

      Sundstrom. And no it doesn’t dry out my eyes.

    Hello from Norfolk, England. Thank you posting this videa - a real pleasure to watch and a lovely result too. I am curious about the tool used for the final part of the hollowing-out. It looks like a roughing gouge but that can't be right?

    • @lathedback
      @lathedback  Před rokem

      It's called a bottom bowl gouge :)

      I made a bottom gouge but don't use it much, mainly use carbide for deep bowls, but after seeing this I think I'll try it again.
