arent you suppose to put bit of oil on oil filter before installing filter?

Owners manual suggests 4.7 liter or 5 quarts of oil.
I put in 5 quarts and it was slightly overfilled. Weird.

On my oil cap says to use Castrol which I get at wal-mart at half price of liquid moly
Liquimoly is just my preferred oil. I have used it for a long time and had no issues.
This is a ea888.1 it holds 4.7 litres the new Tiguan 2018+ With the ea888.3 holds 5.7 litres. You added one liter to much.
Can you tell me what bit you used to take the drain plug off ? Doesn’t look like a normal drain plug that opens with a wrench
Torx socket, however I cannot remember the actual size.

Just so you know these don’t take 6 qts. The MQB 2018s -present (new design) do. this is a limited 18 which is still the old model (PQ35). They take 5 qts. You are putting too much in. This is not a model year 18 engine
Yes, here in Canada 2018 audi q3 last year and same platform and motor. They take around 4.5L ish of oil. You're putting too much oil in the crankcase.
Why not show how to reset the oil light at the same time?

Start with considerations relative to vehicle.
List of part numbers of filters n oils.
AND
The equipment (ramps/hoists/stands) required and the tools required. ESPECIALLY vehicle specific tools. (Drives/keys/sockets/etc etc.)
