Or M1 (F40 gen, not F20) vs RS3. RS3 has traverse engine position, is based on FWD with Haldex connecting rear wheels. Would be a more apples to apples comparison (+ofc same tires).

Dieser Audi hat kein Quattrosystem. Die Bezeichnung fehlt hinten wie vorne am Audi. Und in der Beschreibung im Video wird es auch ersichtlich das hier kein Quattro vorhanden ist.

This is more of a tire test, the drives +- work equally, power does not play a role here. It is probably worth changing lanes in the races, for more accurate measurements. Yes, I see it has already been written) in Estonia it is snowy in winter, beautiful, almost like Russia in the north-west.

You compare cheaper car with no real quattro with trash tyres. Take rs4 with torsen and same tyres and you will see real differences. I love BMW same as audi, but that was just unfair. RS3 got haldex. Torsen will surely win it, just because audi got more experience in 4wheel. Haldex is good for common roads and summer starts cuz after start you drive only front wheels(easy explained) and have no loss for transmitting power to rear wheels

No bro, A4 and up use the real quattro no matter the engine size. Only A3 and TT uses the haldex system all above use torsen
On a RS3 8Y they changed from haldex to a true torque vectoring rear differential. It’s not fully mechanical, but the rear differential now has 2 clutch packs, one for each wheel that can control how much torque can go to each wheel. It uses true torque vectoring vs using the abs system and is suppose to allow much more control and potential to oversteer. It allows controlled drifts also (drift mode available, sending majority of power to rear). Take some aggressive turns in a parking lot, then you’ll see the difference.

Nope. xDrive is the equivalent of quattro ultra which the RS3 doesn't have. The RS3 uses a Haldex based system. In bigger Audis from A4 and Q5 which use an Audi based platform they use Quattro Ultra which is made by the same company that makes the xDrive, Magna Powertrain so it's the same. The Quattro which made Audi known in the motosport world was based on a Torsen differential. You can still find it on S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, rs4, rs5, rs6, rs7, Sq5, Sq7, Sq8. The M3's direct rival from Audi would be the RS4/RS5. Try putting them against each other with the same tires and see who's better in the snow and ice.

@@evol3852 thanks but i think it would be still a close call between the M3 and RS4/5. BMW has come far with high performance cars with 4WD. And keep in mind that you still can switch to RWD if you want.
