Btw, the Ranger Lariat has LEDs in front vs XLT has halogen (I thought they were plenty bright on my '19 Ranger XLT FX4!). ALL Rangers have LEDs in rear. Love these Rangers! Run good full synthetic 5w30 engine oil ..change every 5k mis MAX & the Gen2- 2.3L TGDI Ecoboost will last forever. It's a well proven performance engine.

I have a "22 Lariat Tremor and I installed the ditch lights too, love them! but you didn't need to use the wiring harness and relay the lights came with, you just need to run the power wires to your lights, ground the one side and power the 2 colors wires off you AUX switches. I put my lights on the smaller amp aux switches to save the higher amp switch for a hidden front winch.
Hook the blue wire up to another switch. Then you'll have both brite an yellow beams.

You probably already did the led upgrades. But after researching lights and adjusting my stock tremor headlamps up. I am so happy I didn't go LED.
Halogen is MUCH better at cutting through bad weather. That's critical for me living in the mountains. And after adjusting them up, the stock lamps are plenty bright enough to spot elk and deer crossing.
Curious what did you do to adjust your halogens up? I live in Maine and I do not want to switch to LED headlamps. I think I might add the ditch lights though, cuz sometimes when I'm the only one on the road I would want that extra boost of lighting.

Sweet ride love the swing boxes i have them in my 2019 ranger the next mod is going to be ditch lights but I’m on the fence where to put the switch I really wish they would sell the auxiliary switches from ford to make it easier to hook up and a cleaner look welcome to the ranger club bro
I received my ordered 2022 Lariat a few months ago. It comes with LED lighting almost everywhere on the truck. Its factory LED headlights are a game changer. Being new to LEDs, I couldn’t believe how well they illuminated compared to halogens. But, the LED fog lights are basically useless. When you sit in the driver’s seat they light up the ground in front of the truck just up to where the hood stops.
Those fog lites make a huge difference on the rd at nite. Keep em off when you start driving at nite then turn em ON! Lites up 6ft+ to each side. Love my '19 Ranger XLT FX4..been flawless!

I like nice bright lighting on anything I drive, but I'm not so sure how the hood lights is going to workout in a heavy Rain or especially Snow, it may.. illuminate the Snow to Much directly in front of your eyes and not let you be able to see the road all that great, idk.. if that makes any sense.. like trying to Drive with your High Beams ON.. in a Heavy Snow Storm.. How you Can't hardly See Nothing but the Snow Falling itself! ..But it does Look Great man and you can turn Any of the Lights (ON or OFF) as you want by the switches on your dash Correct?
Nice addition and upgrades to your Ranger Tremor. It amazes me how poor most factory headlights are. I like that Ford provided the switches for misc electrical hookups. Your Tremor is an awesome looking multipurpose off road or daily driver truck that has attitude. Your color which I believe is Cactus Gray really makes the body lines pop.
The stock headlines aren't poor at all. I have a '19 Ranger XLT FX4 ..the halogen lites are plenty bright ..ppl flash high beams all the time at me. He's just tryin to pump his video. Ranger has auto high beams too. A sweet truck. Best in class!

My new 2022 Ranger Lariat came with all LED lights, including the fog lights and the tail lights... I am surprised a more expensive Ranger did not come with all LED's already...

I swapped my halogen bulbs out with LED. Not as good as an entire LED assembly, but so much better than the halogen.

Hey, Great Vid and much respect firstly!! Someone MAY have already mentioned this, but although the wiring job worked, you are now running 2 relays and two fuses. I would also save that 25A Aux1 switch for something WAY BIGGER!
I did this with the Rough Country 6" light bars that go in that little trim spot where IT SHOULD ALREADY HAVE LIGHTS, BUT DOESN'T!
**************HOW TO INSTALL CORRECTLY & CHOOSE CORRECT SIZE RELAY**************
----------- We are assuming the gauge wiring for the products are correct and if anything, it's a lower gauge than truly required ----------
WHY THE BELOW CRAZINESS?? the Tremor upfitters already have the relay and fuse going to the power. You are doubling up; a strange dynamic for sure.
STEP 1. Hold you breath AND CUT OFF THE 'DIODE' DitchLight wires in the following way (this is really almost taking it all off...crazy, but actually awesome!):
a.) RELAY (redundant w/ aux)
b.) FUSE (redundant w/ aux)
c.) POWER SWITCH (redundant w/ aux)
### ALL YOU NEED IS:
1. STRAIGHT POWER WIRE (SPLICE L&R TOGETHER SINCE DOUBTFUL YOU WANT SINGLE SIDE CONTROL)
2. THE GROUND, WHICH YOU CAN CHOOSE THE MOST INCONSPICUOUS/HANDY SPOT YOU WANT
I don't know exactly what you have, but those are some powerful suckers. Because of the extra power, I am doing your calc right below... My setup used lower wattage! It was 12 Cree 3W leds... so the 5A Auz did the trick.
AMP = WATTS / VOLTS
Apparently yours are 20W/led!! omg!
- 8 LEDs total x 20W = 160W
- 160W/12V = 13.33 AMP
I would save the 25A for something w/ higher draw. Maybe 15A in this case?
Since I don't know the details of the lights, if there are two options of colors/etc, just wire accordingly.
But save the 25A and don't double up on relay or fuse or switch :)

2022 lariat ranger here....the stock leds on the lariat are pretty nice....Definitely going to add some ditch lights ....not sure if I want to replace the fogs yet
Love the ditch lights. Let diode dynamics know you saw the video. Hopefully they can save you a few bucks

@@prone_wolf8871 both solid brands. I have always used diode dynamics with my other cars so stuck with them for the Ranger. Both are great companies. Diode is priced right with great customer service and warranty.

Every vehicle sold should have standard led headlights and fog lights if fogs are offered. Just sad ford.
so you have double relays. why not cut it out and use only the tremors???
