Kleppen gesteld , nieuwe bougies en kabels, carb. gecleaned etc. help me out man ! Fred
I used to be right there with you. But the “set and forget” with the Dyna-S is worth the buck for a daily. When you’re on the road, having points is just an unnecessary risk if you ask me.
@@Brochachichoppers ciao ho fatto la stessa procedura nel mio shovelhead solo che la luce rimane sempre accesa anche ruotando la piastra va bene uguale?
I'm trying to do this but I get the test light on full time and whe I turn the dial the light turns off what am I doing wrong its all aligned up to I'm lost
@@zachspringer1413 are you on the front cylinder compression stroke? You could be 180* off. Is your test light connected to the blue coil wire? Are you sure there’s no continuous 12v on your blue wire? (Continuous 12v should be connected to the white coil wire.
Nice! Thank you 👍🏻
Had two electronic ignitions, keep winding up back at Chevy blue streak points and condenser again.
Just made the leap myself, so time will tell. Had no luck with my points past year so figured it’s worth a shot.
@@Brochachichoppers Check the points plate for flatness, I over tightened one once, never stayed where I put it again.

What’s the advantage of the 2000i over this? Adjustment?
I Love this bike. That tank is sweet
Thanks!
Good video. However, I’m not a fan of the Dyna Tech ignition. Points have been working fine for me for the last 50 years.

Yeah, I just like the simplicity of points. I’ve had to change points out on the road but, they’ve always got me home. Ride safe my friend.

Awesome video man, helped me alot. What oil tank are you using? Love that look
I made the stainless oil tank myself, thanks for watching!
Dus ik koop me ook even terug een dyna S … elke keer first try …
Quick question ⁉️ what about the Xtra white and pink wires? Mine has electric and kick start.
Other than the white and blue, There are no extra wires on a dual fire Dyna-S ignition.
@@Brochachichoppers from the bike , there's a pink and a white wires . Pretty sure the white is to the battery but what about the other ?
@rodmanheffelfinger9511 I can’t help you with that unfortunately. Maybe the service manual can be of help if it still has original wiring?

Did you have to change coil or does the points coil work with electric ignition.
You can use the 5ohm coil off your points system, but i already had the Dyna coil mounted.
@Greenleafgarage ok just wondered as I know the ohms are different.
@@jaxj3626 Think I've run both with the emgo coils, < 5 .
