    My purpose is to encourage people to do things themselves!
    Plus, this is a nice hobby for myself and at the same time I have the opportunity to save a lot of money by doing all the maintenance myself!
    I’m not a professional with cars or motorcycles, I just want to learn how to do things myself.
    If you do this service yourself, always check the correct instructions in the official service manuals. This is just my way of doing it!

    i'm very fortunate for you to have uploaded this entire playlist of in depth demonstrations. I got my first BMW a month ago, following your guides i found that my 1150gs has been very neglected on maintenance, overall the bike is in perfect condition though. i'm also probably better off to have gotten it at the end of my riding season so i am forced to catch it up on maintenance and not ride it all summer haha

      Indeed!!
      I was an amateur! First maintenance with this bike and I should read the instructions first. Thank you for the information! I will update the information in the video description.
      Definitely need to replace those below as well.

      No problem, it was just to fulfil your video , may I also advise you to put iridium plugs , that’s a great improvement in terms of starting ability and also In fuel consumption, cheers from France !

      The main one : NGK BKR 7 EIX 2667

    Which front fender is that? It looks different to the stock r1150r fender.

      @JaniVoutilainen  Před 3 lety

      The previous owner had built one on this bike.
      I don't know how, but it's ok compared to the original 😉

    Great, but why, visible smoke from your exhaust ?

    • @JaniVoutilainen
      @JaniVoutilainen  Před 3 lety +1

      Cold weather and moisture in the exhaust can cause white smoke during start-up. When the engine is warming up so visible smoke is just not.

      @@JaniVoutilainen yes i understund, but however, i suggest to use 20w50 or 15w50 oil sint, not mineral.

    ottimo lavoro, perchè hai usato olio 20w50 ? non è troppo denso?

      Лью масло 10w40 отлично работает а это густое ,правельно сказал. С густым маслом всё дребезжит работает не правельно.

    Amazing video thanks! What oil are you using there?? Greetings from Switzerland!

    • @JaniVoutilainen
      @JaniVoutilainen  Před 3 lety +1

      You're welcome! 👍 The oil which is actually I have used is Motox 20w-50 mineral oil 4T. It is cheap and relatively good for this engine.
