Came across this video of mine on CZcams and thought of sharing with you all!
This video is from 2019, when I stood 1st in my Masters (MA Music) examination and received the Vijaya Ghate Smruti Puraskar,
and hence, had to give a performance.
Originally a Carnatic music raga, Raag Hansadhwani has been one of my favourites since childhood!
Composed by Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande ji, (whose disciple, my Guru and Mother Mrs. Shruti Ambekar is), The initial Bandish is set in Madhya Lay, Matta Taal (9 beats).
The Tarana which follows is set in Teental and is composed by Gaansaraswati Smt. Kishori Amonkar ji.
I thank my Guru, my mother Mrs. Shruti Ambekar for her neverending efforts in imbibing the rich Hindusthani Classical Music lessons, in a reluctant child like me!! Its because of her training that I am what I am today.😇🙏🏻
