I worked in a Hotel for a few months, one of the Housekeeping staff caught a guest boiling his underpants in the kettle because he had no spare pair! I've NEVER used a kettle in a B&B or Hotel since....

i honestly think that we were better off in the days before CZcams comments and social media.
