Nice list. This has become my favorite deck, though I try a different focus. I love the normal monster theme, so I dove all in on that, two Clavkyis and 5 other bois for each different attribute, and 3 Piercing the Darkness. You would not BELIEVE how good that card is in this deck!
These cards have been sitting in my binder for a while and you are right; play testing this deck can be a pain in the ass because of how weirdly technical the effects are. Solid profile though, I think I'll be sleeving them up again and giving Magikey another go. For feedback on my end. 1. No Dyna Modo from Photon Hypernova. It is cracked ritual support from what I've seen. Is it not good for the deck? 2. Pot of Prosperity is out of my budget unfortunately. You got any cheaper alternatives? (I don't plan on going to Worlds or topping a Reigional so I can't justify buying the card at its current price point at 3x).
Thanks man! I appreciate the feedback and I do think that if you run a variety of attributes for your normal monsters or side deck different attributes, you can continue to trigger their effects. It’s by no means “bad” but as you mentioned just “technical.” 1. Dyna mondo requires a ritual to link summon and I do think it could be worth a shot. I didn’t use it because the rituals usually have a better effect than mondo so you might as well keep them on the field. 2. You go through a crap ton of monsters in a turn. Pot of avarice or desires would be more affordable alternatives since you run 3 of almost everything in the main. However, you’d need to adjust ratios of the spells to 3 each if you choose desires. Overall I think the deck is versatile and that’s its strong point. It just needs more support.
@@ygopodcast Desires and Avarice are cards i both own so thank you for that. I was getting fearful I couldn't build the deck at all lol For Dyna Modo you do have a point but I'll be picking up a few copies for some other decks I have in mind (even if it isn't Magikey). Yes it is a pretty fair deck, versatile like you said and a point I agree on. Like reading the effects of Magikey, it's mostly just low to mid impact effects rather than something busted. More support is needed because the last card I know this deck got was from some kind of promo thing in the OCG (it's a Rank 8 Magikey XYZ monster that isn't that good considering the investment). Appreciate the reply man looking forward to more deck profiles and other content :)
Hey Pat. Just wanted to point out an interesting Tech-card for this deck…if not for this, then The “Tenyi” archetype could use it. “SUPERNATURAL DANGER ZONE” A continuous Spell that destroys your opponent’s cards with every summon of a Non-effect Monster. And if it gets destroyed as well, it gets to summon a free Non-effect monster from the Hand, Deck, or Grave! Definitely an underrated card to use, especially if you decide to use Barricadeborg Blocker link for easier access.
Magikey has become one of my go-to decks
Same here! I’m a sucker for gimmick decks

Sounds awesome! I’d love to test out this build.
Nice deck profile.
I’m testing a magikey/Gemini deck to see what work.
Great list! I love the addition of the black luster soldier!
Thanks!!
Thanks for watching bro!
