Beautiful trucks..love them all .I would love to come across a 1985 Ford f150 explorer edition
lol youtube close captioning called it Saudi Daisy.
This is routine for trucks on my grandparents farm. A newly purchased truck had two jobs, grandmothers grocery getter and take everyone to church on Sunday. It was kept in the garage at the house. It usually had that position for two or three years and then a new one showed up. The truck then moved to a working position each day mostly grandad drove it. Then the pecking order moved on down, there were usually four to five working trucks in operation each day. Then the retired trucks got turned over to grandkids to finish off. Most trucks purchased were used to work up until 1980. Before 1980 if you drove a truck to church you were a full time farmer rancher or you were poor. Trucks were cheap even the new ones. Good show!
In 1981 i bought an F150 4x4 for ten thousand in 69 my Grandpa bought one for one thousand or something like that hec i was only ten then and have one just like his in really good shape, and i love to drive it,but not to church,to home-depot,haha or walmart
now this is my kind of museum all that Ford stuff i'll be like a kid in a candy store,do have a soft spot for the older dodge pick ups too.
That's one hell of a collection. If I had space, I'd be bringing some of that stuff home for sure.
Seeing these beautiful dent sides make me miss my 2 trucks. One was a '79 f-250 4x4 with a steel rockbox on it. It had a 390 running on propane. Just a great old bush truck.
The second one was my baby. It was a '74 f-350 Ranger super camper special. It had a 390 auto. The drive line was a c6 auto going to a huge dana 80 diff, with drum brakes on all 4 corners. The box was the 8'6" one with the spare tire in the box side. All original matching numbers. Rust free except for the roof. It had sun rust. The paint was rare. It was ginger glow glamor with Wimbledon white. The color combo was not rare. But it was a early 74, made in dec. 73. But the ginger glow didn't come out till '75. The guy I bought it from said that his dad had special ordered it from the factory. I was going to do a frame off restore but I ended up in a accident by a drunk driver. I am now full-time in a wheelchair. So I had to get rid of it.
Thanks for the great trip down memory lane.
Cheers from Calgary Alberta Canada 🇨🇦
A 4 door Torino you automatically become "The Dude"
Yep years ago I had a four-door Torino it was pea green exterior pea green interior - carpet everything only 50,000 or so miles
Loved my1974 gran torino. It wS fire engine red and driven by the fire chief..
Dad owned a metallic Kelly green '72 Torino 2-door with a 351C.
"or Duderiono if you're not into the whole brevity thing"
Not trying to be “ that guy” but that galaxie was for sure a 67! All those trucks are awesome what a find!
Oh you're 100% right haha.
I've yet to see anyone else with a 70s f100 that's long bed and a step side. I have a 1972 Ford F100 Longbed Stepside and I always get so many compliments and questions about who restored it, painted it, etc. But it's all factory stock, bought it with 12k miles, and in 6 years brought it up to 31k. Getting her back next month and I'm so stoked!!
Man I am literally drooling over the mountains of part and hood and tailgates and 460’s geez. This is ford platinum
Always the best videos, you have a way of putting us there with you. I could walk thru those trucks for days.
Been following on Solomon’s channel as well. These had to be the walkthrough of a lifetime. Only thing that’s 2nd is your junkyard trips. 😁 looking forward to more on your F100.
Both junkyard and F100 content coming very soon.
86 was the first yr for EFI offered as standard equipment but only on the 5.0. All other engines were carbed till 87. And in 85 the EFI was a option on the 5.0 only.
82 n 84 were like cevy carb 2 injectors
I just found this video about 30 minutes ago and have been watching, and I love it .
Thanks for the video !!!
I loved the content and looking forward to seeing more .
I am a Ford guy, so I just subscribed and will be seeing you later, so take care and stay safe and keep on making us more videos .
🤗👍💖💫
So Unbelievably jealous of your collection there fellas. Incredibly difficult to find parts in south jersey for 73-79 Ford trucks. Got a 79 F-250, 78 Ranchero GT(even harder to find stuff for) and an 88 Turbocoupe.
Those supercabs, Thunderbird and 4 door Torino are awesome.
👍👍👍. Neat things you guys are doing. Keep doing it. I went onto the era web and seen the truck’s. Like the prices. 👍👍
Sorry to say this but our next door neighbor had an identically painted 1978 Ford pick-up truck like your "Snickers".
I always liked the paint scheme when I was a kid/young teenager. He bought the truck new in 1978 and drove it for about 15 years.
By the early 1990's it was pretty rusty, even though for about ½ of its life it wasn't winter driven. He oil sprayed it every year that it was winter driven and for the first ~12 years he kept it immaculately clean up inside and out.
Great video!! I used to have a 67 Ford Truck. Dropped a 400 in that puppy and BAM... instant gas hog 🤣 Great truck though! Also, had a (bent to fit) chainsaw bar for a cab mount lol 🤙😎
Yes indeed now waiting for the truck unveiling that you got from the collection 😀
Oh its a good one!
A buddy of mine lives in Soddy Daisy, he knows I am a big Ford truck guy and he sent me pictures of this guys stash a couple of years ago. What a great opportunity you got therE!!!!
Hey guys if you liked this video and wanted to watch PART 1, watch it here! czcams.com/video/u7FnT2CMZ5w/video.html
1st time watcher. I just love the enthusiasm 👍🏻😆
I'm more jazzed about the Torino's and Ranchero's sitting in that yard!
Adding a comment about the Mustang II. I had a 76 Cobra II (bought new) Black w/Gold stripes Black interior 302 4sp. I stripped the syncros and it turned out to be a Dagenham 4sp.Ford cinched out on the drive train. I actually loved the car though.
My first vehicle was a lifted 77' highboy on 35's with the 460 big block and a 4 speed. It was nice to see all these rare fords.
Absolutely love the videos Craig. Keep it up
Will do!
@@Thecraig909 were can I find parts for my 1979 f100 4×4 I need a powerstearing gear box
Great vid, really enjoyed!! 👍👍
Seeing all those old Ford trucks makes me miss my dads 73 F100 with the 302 and 3 on the tree. He bought it new for 3 grand. Wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one.
What a genius keeping all of these great Fords
I thought I was a rare breed geeking on fine details like you guys..but mostly with Dodges..Power Wagons are my thing..my old man was a storm window/door installer in the Chicago land area for over 30 years..his 1st truck was a mid 60's chevy..broke the frame..next was a Turquoise 68 ford F250 duel tank with 390/granny 4 on the floor then a 73 F250 custom beautiful midnight blue with white stripes on the bottom (never saw another like it to this day) 460/granny 4 on the floor both of these trucks were specifically ordered with split rims..something about running a higher load rating tire..also 2WD only..because he needed the truck lower to the ground for loading and off loading the windows and doors..
Then came the TURD 1978 F250 super cab beautiful emerald metallic green..he could not get a 460 for some reason and the other engine offerings were only 30 hp more then the 300 six..so he went with a 300/3 on the tree..blew out 2nd gear 3 times and stress cracks developed around the front spring shackle mounts for the rear axle..yes he used his trucks..it was a rare thing not to see the rear bumper a couple of inches off the ground for the life of the truck which was around 4 years..he was getting older so in 82 he downsized with a white F150 XLT 302/granny 4 on the floor..then a ranger..I know I haven't said much but this covered 20 plus years of using Ford trucks 300 plus days a year..that's a lot of time spent in the cab of one..
My little 1996 F250 is the last of a kind. mid 90s body with a 300 I6 with a slip-o-matic, the pullingest engine i've ever had. I trailered a 96 suburban from Dawsonville Ga. to the mountains of SW Va. with no issues at all. It came from the public school system in Martinsville Va., ZERO rust, oxford white, in great condition with 126,000. They almost gave it away. The 300 I6 is just about broke in!!
If you guys find bushwhacker extend a flare for 73 -79 ford trucks let me know I’ve been hunting for those for a decade
I was a Ford man from 1957 to 2007. My first pickup was a white 1960 F-100 longbed with the 312 V-8 and 3 on the tree. My last was a blue 1990 F-150 shortbed with FI 302 and A4 rebuildable ($1280 in 2001) trans. Now I'm happily involved in a gold 2007 Toyota Tundra with regular cab and shortbed. = = So, how did I miss the rare F-100 as shown in your title? = =
78/79 ford truck and bronco heaven.....wow. I had a set of wagon wheels with heart and clubs shaped center holes. guess they came off a sand box truck. always wondered about them.
That's Ford heaven!! My first new truck was a 79 f250 4x4 long bed with a 300 six. I'm currently restoring a 79 Bronco Ranger XLT black with black interior 351m
My first truck was a 74 F250 Ranger 2wd back in 1989. Loved that truck. My dad's work truck was a 76 F250 Ranger Highboy back in late 70's. It was a hog on gas but it was one tough truck. Amazing collection !! I remember seeing those trucks everywhere "back in the day".
That monster truck is awesome. My buddies dad had quite a few fords. One was an ext cab with 12"lift and 44s. With a 460. It was badass. Also had the same setup in a 79 bronco.
Me 95 crew cab 7.5 l f350 stepping on 35s
Burns rober strong one no joke
Recently acquired a 78,swb,4x4,351m,auto built by Turtle Top South, neat little rig.
I am stoked to see what you have for sale trucks and parts !
A few late 1985 F150s did have the multiport fuel injection, there was also some 84 to 85 models with the 2 barrel tbi setups on the 302 but there not common.
Third sandbox had drivers side rear fender replaced. That's why there are no graphics. Inside of bed clearly shows newer hardware. Some great trucks. Thanks for sharing.
I was sold by 1:15 😂😂😅🤣😅😂😂😂☠️☠️☠️☠️
That Ford F250 Big Foot Is sweet
My '67 F-100 was originally a sandbox. I swapped it out with a regular short bed fleetside as soon as I could. Yeah, I'm not a fan of step side beds either.
Interesting topic I had a brand new 78 Ford 150 sandbox I use it for everything off-road truck pulls mud running drag racing.
It’s a shame you guys can’t see how customized the interiors were for the time shag carpet curtains and custom front seats.
I still have a few nice pictures of my truck.
Sure love to be one of the lucky guys who gets the chance to own one of those Flareside/Sandbox beauty's!!! Lucky son of a guns finding all those amazing trucks and cars. Keep up the searching and collecting!!!
I got something a little rare that I'm working on just kind of put on hold for now do to the money issues. But what I have is I don't really know if it's rare or not but I like it it is mine. A 1964 F100 short bed style side custom it still has the three on a tree transmission and the original engine in it that still runs I need floorboards brackets and a firewall and a tailgate. I would like to get the stuff from a junkyard upcycle this thing. And then I want two tone paint it it's got a nice patina on it if there was a way to save it I would but there's like five different layers of pain under it. It was a barn find I just want to bring it back to life.
Wow amazing collections of fords
I remember seeing the 78 and 79 trucks brand new even the ones with the decals on them and the fancy interior.
This is cool seeing all these trucks, late fords best looking pickups came from the late 70's
All Thunderbirds in 1969 -72 only received the 429 engine. In 73 the 460 became a option but the 429 engine was standard
Lmfao I'm not speeding I'm qualifying love that plate 🤣
Dude, greatest information ever at 4:48 Where the VIN is on the frame... now I can verify my NEW Marti tag with the VIN/// thanks. I need Blue HOOD/ And driver's Door/ 79
My dad had the 1979 Bronco with the 351 Cleveland modified with a 4 speed granny gear trans.
This Bronco was the California Edition with that airbrush paint jobs on the side . Here in Cleveland, Ohio it was the only one I ever seen in person as i was growing up.
I wish he never used it as his daily driver going down to LTV Steel.
That truck rotted out so fast from that place.
It could not be saved at all when I was old enough to try an actually do something with it.
But at least the motor and transmission lives on.
This is the 3rd time I have seen all these but every time I see more stuff. Such an awesome hunny hole
I walked it for hours off camera and constantly found more and more.
Vary awesome indeed. Nice 👍 collection that you have sweet. Keep up the great work. Okay.
Wow nice rare find
Im a ford guy myself and i didnt realize there were so many custom paint jobs back in the 70s,but thats very good imformation.i just happen to know of 1.going to get that.thanks.
Here is maybe one to check out. I had a '77 f-100 flareside 2wd that had dual gas tanks. I was the second owner in the late eighties. To this day I have not seen another flareside with the front tank "gooseneck" filler.
Nice stash of trucks sitting there, I am a fan of all American auto makers but I was really liking the Dodge trucks. That 429 Thunderbird would be a nice car to restore. Pretty sure that was an Owl on that truck door instead of a dove.
In my area about ten years ago scrap metal was very low I bought up every olf ford truck I could get. 74 trucks later and 100 classic cars. I have from parts to drivable. Don't have much chevy or dodge stuff. Wouldn't believe the stuff people sold me.
Alright Jeff, I’ll take em lol
Pure good stuff love Ford
I had a 75 F-150 Explorer orange with black stripes on the sides from the factory. Mexacelli Red (spelling?) was the color. Sharp with a 390!! Reminded me of the custom
1985 was first year for efi my 85 f150 was factory efi 302!
My 85 f150 is 300 six efi 4sp 4x4 long bed
Love this video those 460 big blocks can be turned into Boss 429 Jon Kaase makes cylinder heads boss 9s that would bolt 🔩 right up to those blocks cool walk threw toure love those trucks would make great daliy driver's keep up the great work
@vinny reviews + I think both the TV show Gears with Stacey Davidson did a show with these Boss 9 cylinder heads I think he interviewed John Kaase
@vinny reviews + looking at the video on these cylinder heads now
Cuda was taken on The 24 hour Lemans lmfao he called it 24 hour lemons 🤣🤣
Old 4wd Fords on white steel wagon wheels get me every time!
Those pickups though! Nice
Happy 4th of July to you and your family Craig
Likewise! Thank you Tom.
That 76-ish bright ass orange one… I knew a lady in the 90’s in Texas that had one. It was bad ass, had reflective graphic stickers on the side, hers was all original, small block, black vinyl bench working original A/C… only mod she had on it was a set of pipes with cherry bombs and echo chamber tips.
Speechless. I am absolutely speechless.
My uncle had a brown 78 Ford F150 short wheel base that had the yellow and orange and stripe on it and that truck was beautiful
Love this place
I’m in love with that mustang II Mach 1!
Rome - he's a paint and patina magician.
He does amazing work.
Terrific video wish it was longer love the Ford family of vehicles great styling If I had the $$$$$$$ I’d be there saying I’ll take that & that & & &. Fantastic Craig keep it going
Dang that gold Torino was mint!
Craig, you should go live here, as it's Ford truck paradise !!
I'm starting to realize that!
If that was my collection I would charge for tours love the Ford truck I have a 79 f100 short bed 2 wheel drive here in oak hill Ohio
That Ford f150 custom sand Box Step Side is nice
I knew a guy that an Orange Explorer just like the one at 6:40. It was a great looking truck!
That 79 power wagon with the stacked headlight was rad I miss my 79 w200
Not only was the 86 the only bullnose, the EFI was not the same as the 87. I had an 86 and it was a pain in the ass to diagnose and repair. I should have converted that truck.
I see we are behind on uploads 😆 this was before power tour obviously.
I sure really like the mach 1, sweet mustang
You have way screwed up hair Red, but your sense of humor put us in the same group 🤪
Are you sure those were doves? They looked like owls to me. Cool trucks.
The bed on that forklift looks identical to my 79 Ranger paint code and such...lol
In 77 the 460 with the 4350 motorcraft 4 barrel carburetor was stock but a total failure. Do you have any idea what the Holley replacement was. I need the part number because the spread bore carburetors they list are qudrajet style not the same shape as the ford spread bore.
Got a question ❓ in 85-86 ford came out with what they called "the big stick" it was an f150 with the granny low 4 speed...have you guys ever seen one? I had a 86 long bed with the 300 6cyl
80-86 is bullnose and 87-91 is bricknose
that old Dodge Prospector short/wide in the background!
Sweet!
That blue ranger shorty 😍😍
I would’ve been 13 and one of the neighbors bought one of those trucks. Had a flaming volcano on the door. As a teenager that was the coolest truck I had ever seen
Im so dam jealous, lol .. u have al the great 78 and 79 fords..
Behind the F28 there was a two tone blue with white top F250. I had a 76 like that.
I had a 1976 D100 4x4 short bed. 318 four in the floor. regret selling it as I need a truck now.
Wish I could have one of these!! So damn cool!!!
Where did this place come from. I am not a ford dude but love vintage cars. Tell me the story.
Check out the previous video for the backstory 👍🏼
I've got a 1969 F100 high boy, and ypu gotta take the cab off the frame to see the Serial numbers..The dang grill cost 2500 bucks to replace..Only built like 3500 of em..
