1:48 Cage has always been a favorite of mine. He has this level of soulfulness that only he can pull off. Especially that, "I'm blown away." Man, I love that line. I really hope he returns to major success again!
My head canon after this ending is that Memphis and Otto expand their legit business and hire every single one of the members to help them lead better lives, including Kip. To fulfill the wish of Memphis and Kip's mother (possibly their father too) in seeing them move away from the criminal lifestyle and be good men. And you know what? I'm glad that no sequel or prequel of any kind will ever be made to this. A one and done deal is all that it needs to be.
"Well yeah you know it's just a token of my appreciation for um, for everything..." Something about Ribisi's face during that hug...he's trying to hide the fact that he's on the verge of tears, but he can't help himself. Such a powerful short scene. He's a fantastic actor.
I haven't seen more than the first 3 fast and furious movies, but people are different and celebrate in different ways. Part of the beauty of life is diversity. If we were all the same, life would be boring. I agree, though. Gone in Sixty seconds best car movie ever.
Love. Love this movie. Have a passion for fast cars. Love that Mustang GT. FYI, Nicolas went to Stunt Driver's school in preparation for this movie. He did a large majority of the driving in the movie.
He said he spent all six months they were shooting rehearsing it, but the director removed one sentance in the middle right before they shot this scene, and it screwed him up. Apparently the first line he ever spoke into a hollywood camera was "fuck it" because he couldn't remember this line!
Rocket Koala I don't get the joke, can someone explain please? It has been like 16 years since I saw this movie for the first time and I still don't understand, lol.
It’s because he never talks and so you assume he would be from long beach or California like the rest of them are but he starts speaking in an English accent lmao
@@Firemarioflower it was a joke, I don't think anyone expected Sphinx to speak (none of them had heard him talk before), let alone to reveal he wasn't American since they had worked with him in the past. Memphis made it funny since he reacted casually to what should have been a big surprise. Also, Sphinx just finished a philosophical speech which made it even funnier.

They need to make a sequel somehow. How Raymond's Calitiree or however u spell his last name have like a sibling that wants revenge or something and they have to do it all over again. Idk. Just a thought. I'm sure someone will come up with a better idea for a sequel than that but yea.
So "Eleanor" is something like Roach? In sense that Cage had several Eleanors, but obviously he´s talking to them like it´s still the same one. I thought, as well, this one is the same Eleanor got destroyed in the end, but was recovered and repaired. Why? Becuse the funny end line "Oh come on Eleanor, not again!" , which implies the quirk of current Eleanor and Kip theoretically HAD enough time to retrieve her. Even though I know, it´s not true - I wish :)
@Dprill95 Well in the story Memphis (Nick Cage) is to steal 50 cars to save his brother (Ribisi) and he has until 8 am of Monday to do it. If he doesn't make it on time, the guy (don't know his name, nor the actors) is supposed to bring Ribisi to Calitri (the bad guy) to be killed. But as Cage runs through the city in Eleanor, the 8 o'clock passes and "the guy" gets a call from Calitri to bring Ribisi. However, he says he lost him to which Calitri replies that he's gonna take Cage's life instead. He basically saves Ribisi and that's what Cage is thanking him here for.
He tricked Calitri into thinking that Kip escaped and can no longer find him, so Calitri decided to take Memphis instead to kill him, which never happened.

This movie came before fast and the furious movies love it angelina jolie and n.cage ❤❤❤
Yes I remember but fast furious wants all the smoke of all millennial car movies
Jolie is a star seriously. Like Jay z and Beyonce
And it’s better than all of them put together.
I'm blown away, my Mrs just bought me a car today. The exact one I was forced to sell during covid. What a movie what a moment. What a gal
"Wanna go for a ride?" "Hell yes." Her reaction gets me going every time.
Will Patton has the best reaction. Genuine smile and relief.
That’s the way it should be. True statement
Sphinx on point, talks only when needed.
The score by Trevor Rabin in this movie is first rate
When Sphinx speaks, Mirrorman takes off his glasses.
