As a French... well I do not have any trouble but it's always funny to see so many pronounciation of watch brands from you or your fellow anglophone watch youtubers
Well done Britt! I love your way of looking at the whole watch game! Not to much seriousness but still well prepared content! Keep up your funny and entertaining way! Hope your hubby is proud of your great work! 😊
Haha, what a great short video 🙂 As I’m from the Netherlands I got languages such as English, German and French in school and I must say…. Well done with your pronunciation 😉
Ahhh now THIS is too compliments! 😅💕 always trying my best! As a small town Canadian gal, this stuff doesn’t come naturally to me. 😜 but always trying my best to say things right!
I'm not a native in English and I can say all of those and you get a follow up for an amazing job and thank you for taking the time and learning the enunciation. Now let's try with car brands. 😅
There are actually multiple "correct" pronunciations for "Jaeger-LeCoultre". The tricky part is that Edmond Jaeger himself was from Alsace region and thus his name was originally (probably) pronounced German. The company doesn't know themselves because I have heard both in videos from them. Thus, JLC is probably better 🤣
@@jvlivscaesar Tricky. Was Alsace Region in 1858 part of France? Sure. But especially during that time and in that region (and many others at the now border of Germany) were mixed. We don't know how he preferred his name to be pronounced (we don't even know much about him...) but both variants seem to be valid given the time and region and also the fact the "Jaeger" is not a typical French last name.
Hahaha ahhhh that’s so TRUE! But I bet it sounds better in Spanish! You need to send me a voice memo on Instagram with how Spanish speakers say luxury brand names!!
I'm just going to pick on you a little bit..... pronounce...Zenith the watch. The what it it called when the sun it's it's aoex inches sky. Then the old tv brand. Then google it. ❤❤❤. Love you vids
I'm sorry Britt but i'm french and you don't get it for: Jaeger (you say Je and it's more like Jay) Hublot (you say Ouh and it's u in french). Cartier, Longines and Chpoard are ok 🥳
Sorry but if I did not already know all those brands and what you were talking about, as a polyglot that’s been speaking French since I was born as 1 of my main 2 languages, I would not of understood what you were talking about except for the hublot pronunciation was actually close enough.
The worst-pronounced watch brand by Anglophones is Blancpain. Oh how I crack up every time I hear "Blon-Pon" when "Blon-Pay" is 1000x closer to correct.
I honestly never understood the difficulty behind pronouncing things like idk man 😅😅😅 im native english and some of my brown friends have wild ass names...only ever mispronounced 3 of em
because Edmont Jaeger was French (Alsatian), not German, and some Alsatian pronounce their name the French way so as to sound more French and not German.
The only right way of saying Hublot is “Huuuu blowww 🤮🤮” Nico would be proud of you
🤣💕💕💕
As a native german/french speaker, I can say that this is a good guide!
Congratulations Britt, you nailed it. Just need to get you saying 'coffee' properly now 😂
BAHAHA! NEVER!! 😈🤣💕
I once saw someone on youtube said "Long Guy" and I can't stop laughing
Hublot is pronunced “Merde” well that's how my French teacher Nico told me to say it
I am French. Honestly your pronunciation is very good
Oui
That was really well done Britt.
Ahhh I am always trying my best! 😅💕
I expected a good laugh (I'm French) and I was not disappointed! :-D

Parfait, Britt ! C’est exactement ça ! 😉
OH MERCI! 😘
I didn’t know I needed this 😂
🤣💕💕💕
@@BrittPearceWatches yea me too.. its just waste of money even for rich people.

As somebody that has french as it's first language your prononciation is very good, the tips are useful and everything should use them
Comment tu prononces Jaeger? C’est quand même un nom allemand donc pas jéjé comme elle dit😛 ça devrait être

ALTHOUGH YOU ARE TOTALLY CORRECT! I just do what the ceo does. 🤣 but you’re sooo right! JLC = always safest!
it has to be a german name: "Jäger" sounds sooo much better than [scheeschee] ;-) Btw. Jäger means hunter ;-)
Edmond Jaeger was French born in France in Alsace region so all things considered his last name probably had french pronunciation

@@jvlivscaesar even today 45% of people in alsace speak alsatian (a lower germanic language) or german. So no, it's not a good assumption.
I think you did that really well! 👍
Ahh thank you! Always trying my best! 😅
Needed this thanks! 😅
People really be naming their watch brand “On demand pee gay” 😂
Woow well done
Well done maam
Good class 💯.
For us non native English speakers is a nightmare too haha.
Hahaha ahhhh that’s so TRUE! But I bet it sounds better in Spanish! You need to send me a voice memo on Instagram with how Spanish speakers say luxury brand names!!
For a long time I assumed Chop 'ard made kitchen knifes
I wear my dad's old Cartier for weddings and funerals but I always pronounced it....Car-cheay haha
You forgot the king Britt, Patek Philippe 🤔
I still have no idea whether it is supposed to be patech or paddeck.
Oh gosh! We will save that for the next one!
that Jaeger LeCoultre hahaha! you got the 'le' right :)
I always pronounced Jaeger the same as in jägermeister
hub-lot somehow sounds more appropriate 🤣
I'm just going to pick on you a little bit..... pronounce...Zenith the watch. The what it it called when the sun it's it's aoex inches sky. Then the old tv brand. Then google it. ❤❤❤. Love you vids
OH No! I never know if it is “zen-ith” or “zeeenith”
Nah fam Hub-Lot sounds so much better 😂😂😂
🤣🤣
As a french you got a 20/10😏
Not bad.
For a native English speaker. 🧐
🤣 doing my best!
I can already hear Nico saying "Hublot is not a f*cking luxury brand its a piece of shit!!"
Until they buy him off with a custom piece like Ulysse Nardin did...
No way, I've been saying "lawn-gee-ness" 😂
Did you add hublot to the list? 💀
So now we have Pronouncing Gringa...😁😁
🤣🤣💕💕 shes here!
My favorite watch company is HUB-LOT.
impeccable again!
My French half is crying 🤣🇨🇵
Sooorrry. ✌🏽❤️
Fantastic video
I just troll everyone at the store.

I'm sorry Britt but i'm french and you don't get it for: Jaeger (you say Je and it's more like Jay) Hublot (you say Ouh and it's u in french). Cartier, Longines and Chpoard are ok 🥳
"Native English speaker", ah yes the Monolingual.
I see you... Not even tried A Lange & Söhne ;)
The day that I'll founder my own brand I'll named Paparajote and just annoyed all English speakers😂😂😂
simply like french :D !
Ouuu la la! Trying my best!
Wow you dove right into the deep end. I thought you would start slow.
Watching this in a Tim Horton ☕🍩
You showed the Hublot icon, Nico would be devastated 😢
I would love to know how you pronounce "Glashütte" and "Porsche" xD LG from Germany :-)
Ouuu next time I gotta do the German special! 🤣
That's mean! Heh heh...but yeah i'd like to hear that as well😅
The only one I knew how to pronounce before I saw this video was Audemars Piguet because of all the rap I listen to.
C’est magnifique votre prononciation de Jaeger lecoultre
Richard Mille : Reeshard meal
I love me some Hub-lot
Ok, watched it 10 times... I always hear the "i" in Cartier. Simply speak without it: [cartjee] like "yeah"
🤣🤣 you better watch it 10 more times!
And when going into an authorised dealer, just remember that the R in Rolex is actually pronounced more like a B
I’m calling nico 😂
I say JLG because it's impossible to pronounce, and I'm French.
Ah, the famous sisters Cardi A and Cardi B...
Is it Long JEANS or LONG Jeans? 😂
🤣🤣 now THAT is the real question!
Being a man with a southern accent i pronounce it “carchay”
Fun fact: Asians pronounce Tudor as 2 Door.
How are you feeling ?
❤
Sorry but if I did not already know all those brands and what you were talking about, as a polyglot that’s been speaking French since I was born as 1 of my main 2 languages, I would not of understood what you were talking about except for the hublot pronunciation was actually close enough.
it's simple, you have to understand that all the french names that finish with consonant must be pronounced without it, whatever it is.
Porsche Design. One syllable or two for Porsche?
for me, as a French, it is easy 😂😂😂
Indians will take these to another level 😅
As a Romanian, I still don't understand the logic behind the French language- the 2nd closest language to mine after Italian...
Dont need to say anything just go with the bag full of cash and ask for the top brands limited edition watches
Why not have a french speaker as a guest for that video :) ?
She is so Beautiful
I can only pronounce Casio and Timex correctly because that's all i can afford.
The worst-pronounced watch brand by Anglophones is Blancpain. Oh how I crack up every time I hear "Blon-Pon" when "Blon-Pay" is 1000x closer to correct.
I pronounce Jaeger the German way, Yaeger
Say it . Say alanga ond Sona 😎
I honestly never understood the difficulty behind pronouncing things like idk man 😅😅😅 im native english and some of my brown friends have wild ass names...only ever mispronounced 3 of em
What about O-Lex 🤣
Even in switzerland most of the people pronounce audemars piguet the wrong way. The e in audemars is silent.
Jlc has just a bit more of an “a” sound into it!
C-A-R-T-EE-ER :D
I just say The Hub for Hublot
JLC should be Jay Jay Le Col, shouldn't it? :)
Right!? 😂
It's pronounced "Yblo"
Knowing the original country help...
A fellow English speaker that is.
Audemars Piquet: Piguet is pronounced with a B not P
Cartier: It is pronounced with a K
Lighting isn’t so flattering in this one 😊
Timex. Is it Thai-mex or Tie-mex? 😜
How can German jaeger end up like that?
because Edmont Jaeger was French (Alsatian), not German, and some Alsatian pronounce their name the French way so as to sound more French and not German.
What about Swatch?
Ive still never heard an American say Tudor correctly?
Hublot, no you blow.
You mean "especially if you're American"
啫啫勒箍、我的媽PK、烏堡、骚趴、卡啲

Blancpain? :-)
