    What a fluke this flight was really. After EasyJet cancelled my flight with just a few weeks notice, I looked at alternatives and found this flight with TUI for just £59. So I snapped up a bargain like that before I even realised that it was booked to be a Boeing 767! Todays flight was operated by 24 year old G-OBYF and was filmed from seat 11A.
    A busy flight full of rowdy holidaymakers, but despite the long delay on the ground in Manchester due to multiple issues out of TUI's control, the crew were fantastic and really turned the situation around... as you can hear in the video. The delay was caused by multiple systems in the airport itself & security and there being no staff available to collect passengers requiring wheelchair assistance off of the inbound flight the aircraft had just operated from Dubrovnik. So you can hear lots of clapping and cheering after take off and again once landing and you can hear the brilliant cabin manager Debbie thank everyone for being so patient as well as joke that we had landed in Tenerife which made everyone laugh and applaud. It was a fun flight and the crew were absolutely fantastic, despite the issues before leaving Manchester.
    Once finally on the move the captain, clearly in a hurry to get away. Very speedy taxiing across the airport and straight onto 23L without touching the brakes and we were off! Climbed straight up to 37,000ft. Passing over the English Channel near Dorset, crossing the Brest Peninsula of France and out over the Bay of Biscay. Over Spain, the Portuguese coastline and over the Atlantic before landing into Las Palmas. Pilots doing their best to make up some of the 2 hour 40 minute delay, with a speedy flight time for the Canaries of just 3 hours 42 mins. Landing at dusk as the last bit of sunlight was disappearing.
    There has been a few noticeable changes to TUI 767's since I last flew on one, only 2 years ago. They now have inseat USB power chargers and phone / tablet holders to watch your own devises. The legroom however is still pretty awful as you can see.

    Apologies for the pretty dirty window, happens on aircraft that are 24 years old I suppose and also for not showing any exterior shots of the aircraft. I didn't have much opportunity to get one at either end im afraid.
    Despite the delay, as you can hear spirits were kept high by the amazing cabin crew onboard. Very funny and great service. Good to have so much availability onboard. Usually they've ran out of everything so fast. But there was plenty of hot and cold sandwiches available as well as snacks and drinks. As well as a full duty free service, which is somewhat of a rarity these days on flights. Very impressed.
    Thanks for Watching this video onboard TUI!

    Must be a novelty flying on these archaic noisy planes, not many of these old dinosaurs in the sky now.

      The only reason I went on this particular flight. Better than anything else TUI have in their fleet now 😐🤢

    Absolutely amazing flight! Love the 767 sad TUI will retire them soon. Must get on one before they go but I’m not considering TUI to fly on because of all the cancellations but then again it’s not just them. Keep the good work up

    With all the horrible stuff going on in this world it’s so great to hear all those passengers having a great time! Delays and cancellations are third world problems at the moment and we should all be grateful we can even think about travelling again ...many are not so lucky. Fab report :)

    • @TrainPlaneHub

      I was only on this TUI flight because my EasyJet flight was cancelled because they have no staff. Do your research. Every airline is cancelling flights for the same reason.

    • @janeglasgow4918
      @janeglasgow4918 Před 2 lety

      So I wont fly again then if all airlines have no staff. I thought I was safe flying with Tui and this would not happen but it was not to be. Good luck to all the people on future cancelled planes. 7 hours stranded at gran canaria airport to be put on a flight to manchester to be bussed to Glasgow, never again Tui.
