Sunday service at Basingstoke on the South West Mainline out of London Waterloo. One thing to note are the SWR diesel units on services to & from Reading, which is somewhat of an oddity during the week, but common practise on sundays. Also look out for the ex. Avanti voyager, noticeable but its different livery. Since the arrival of the 805 fleet at Avanti a few of their voyagers are now in service for Cross Country. As seen in the video, but look out for them across the network.
INCLUDES: South Western Railway 158s, 159s, 444s & 450s, Great Western 166s and Cross Country voyagers.

My god the GEML has changed. I miss the 315s and 317s that ran on the Lea Valley line (I know it’s not part of the main line but still) and of course the 360s, 321s and the trains hauled by class 90s. Don’t get me wrong I rate the new 720s and 755s FLIRT services but I loved the old trains

When I went it was a night landing,as I peered through the window I recoiled in horror as I could see trees - above us,on the return flight we could only take off with a partial fuel load due to the short runway and had to fly to Thessaloniki to refuel,before continuing our journey back to Manchester.
This is a five and a half hour flight on an Airbus 320. Didn't it feel a bit too long for such a small single aisle aircraft ?

We had the Skycouch to and from Vancouver last year. There are 2 of us so we actually don't fit on it lying down, but what we enjoyed was having the 3 seats. So much more room, and no problems with an extra person in the row. We had the isle seat and the window seat with our jackets, books etc in the middle. Much more comfortable. Good food on Air NZ as well and great service.
