Yo Matt, im not much of a facebook guy these days, but are you aware of the new group called "Rock & Metal Amps, Pedals and Gear"? Its a collab of Jon Symons of Sonic Drive Studios, Kyle Bull, Tone Wars, and a bunch of others in the YT world, and theyve really done a great job at keeping out all the naysayers, keyboard warriors and haters that overruns our comments... Really think youd fit in perfect there to promote your name and work...
That sounds awesome! But most Facebook groups usually dont allow “Self-Promotion”…
So I would still need others to help me spread the word..
Thinkin about putting together an “Online Street Team” 🤔
But I’ll check out that group! Thanks!
🤘🏼😜
He also fills in for Napalm Death when life calls for it... Nice, man... Ive been contemplating getting a wireless setup recently (and for the first time ever)... Nice work, brother!
Thanks Dude! 🤘🏼😜
So now it's August 2024 and the U2 unit is being replaced with the A58 iteration. Now I'm waiting for a review of that. And I've been very happy with the U2 units for almost 4 years now.
It’s being published at 10am EST today!
🤘🏼😜
I am using it for 2 years now. Love it. Never failed. I am gigging with it. Its idiot proof, thats why it is the right choice for me 😆
I’m glad its working well for you!
🤘🏼😜
YES!!! I been into Napalm Death since 1988!! Thanks for the video!! Very Helpful!!
Glad to hear it! 🤘🏼😜
Thanks for the review, Matt 🤘🏿🤘🏿 I like these smaller wireless systems. I have the Line 6 G50 and never use it. Also, Pro Pain rules 🎉
I used the G50 for nearly the last Decade! I've only just recently upgraded to a Shure System. But yeah, this little plug and play system is nice! great for the small stuff!

Good honest review. I like the XVive range of products but I have to wonder if there’s also a limit due to interference between the U2, the U4 in-ear Tx/Rx and the U3 wireless XLR systems. I just got the U2 but I also have the U3 and U4. I started testing the U2 in a room directly above my home wi-fi router and ran into intermittent drop outs. I shifted the amp and guitar to another room and reset Tx and Rx and it worked fine. For a while until late afternoon. Maybe neighbors coming home and turning on their computers? So I have to wonder how practical all this wireless gear will be in a live performance. We’ll see. 😉
I have yet to experience any drop outs.. I’m using them in a home with wifi and a few wifi extenders, if that adds to the wifi chaos at all. And they have been perfectly clean.
As I mentioned in the video, i think the plastic construction has a lot to do with most of the issues people experience.
But for 150 bucks its a cool little wireless.
Thanks for watching!

So thx!❤❤

Can u pls say anything about it being compatible with guitars with active pickups? I read it may be a problem. I have same ESP as yours with EMGs. Or for a Gibson with Burstbuckers...?
There is a warning on the packaging that “some” active pickup users may experience noise.
I have a guitar with EMG’s and I did not hear any noise. However, my bassist, who uses an active bass, heard a consistent buzzing when his bass was being played with High Gain. Not while playing clean though.
As info. Hope that helps!

I find this unit to really add a lot of highs to my tone. I ended up selling it. Too bad because it did work good, but if your gonna mess with my tone, you gotta go.
Thats really strange.. it definitely shouldn’t add or take away anything from your tone. Its frequency response is 20-20k. And considering it’s basically a WiFi / Bluetooth type connection it should be pretty transparent.
The only way that it would “add” high end is if the cable you were using prior to this wireless was super long or old and sucking the tone.. wireless technology today is the equivalent of being connected by a super short cable. No tone suck should be noticeable. But if the gear you’re using is already sucking the tone prior to using this, you will hear it.
Or its a defective unit, which is also possible… but I would assume that that is pretty rare. 🤔
Anywho, sorry it didnt work out for you.
🤘🏼😜
I heard from someone I don't know if it's true or not do they have wireless amps that you just plug into your guitar? You don't need a big amp

If you buy one, let us know how it works for you!

@@MadManMusic thank you. Appreciate the quick response I most definitely will let you know
My xvive U2 has NEVER worked well in my gigs, always got huge interference with them. Pity.
Im sorry you’ve had a bad experience with it.. it is a shame as its so plug and play and has such a small footprint. Maybe the newer A58 is an option. I just released a new review on it! Check it out.
🤘🏼😜
I've been checking that unit out for a while now... wasn't sure if it was actually worth it. Great video dude!
Thanks! Sorry for the late reply. I just published a video reviewing Xvive's new A58 Wireless! Check it out!

Eh, I had 4 sets of X Vive completely stop working so I stopped wasting my money and got an AKG mini wireless. Problem solved.
I'm sorry you had that experience. How did they completely stop working and how long did that take? Were you gigging with them or just practicing at home?
Thanks for watching!
🤘🏼😜
@MadManMusic Yes and I take very good care of my gear. I was rehearsing and gigging regularly with two sets that only lasted about 6 months combined. The other 2 went out within 3 months and I have no idea why. They we're paired, I tried everything and checked every cable and connection. There was a very weak signal, enough to be picked up by a tuner and just enough to barely hear. I still have a set sitting here since they failed me. I really liked them which is why I purchased so many times but I kept experiencing the same issues. 🤷♂️
@@pjthomas3973Hmm 🤔
Well thanks for letting us know!
I’ve only had this system for a short time. So I’ll have to see if I experience the same issue in the future.
🤘🏼😜
@@MadManMusic I hope not, Best of luck to you! 🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽

Piece of crap, noisy since the first time i plugged it in. Cant use it at all, waste of money
Sorry it didnt work for ya.
Works great for me. 🤷🏻♂️

No, you shouldn't buy one of these. Mine won't stay connected. It's been a total waste of money.
I’m sorry you’ve had that experience.
My set seems to be working very well even after months of daily use at home..
Perhaps it was a manufacturing defect.
