Christopher Reeve is Superman to me
Always🦸
The most superman than the other supermans 😊😊
Real ☝️😎
The GOAT of Superman actors.
3:11 “Lois What In The Hell Are You Doin’?!” could be title of these movies. 😂
lol
LMAO @ "it's got grease on it!" This one is the GOAT of superhero movies. How they balance the two storylines (the villains arriving & Superman giving up his powers) is incredible. The diner bully scene and revenge is amazing. Plus Sarah Douglas is hooooooooot!
yes
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the movie and appreciated the way the storylines were balanced. It's definitely a classic superhero film!
The actress who played Lana from the first Superman film of this series ended up playing Martha Kent in the Series Smallville.
I remember buying trading cards of Superman 1 and 2 in the 70s.
nice!
“You gotta learn to kick a- you wanna be a peacemaker.” 😅😅
HELL YES!!!
He says “Swim” like she’s in a pool instead of rapids!! 😂😂😂😅😅
I saw it as a kid on VHS. It's one of my faves to this day.
please be kind and rewind😆😆😆
@@PopcornReactions 🤣😭
Mate, you're so consistent and fast!!! 'Superman' yesterday and was looking forward to this one and here it is 24 hours later!!! Top man!
Hope you enjoyed it! thank you!
"Well, he's dead" - loved the "welp..." tone! "Ah, they going to--is that a hammock?" Your asides are effing brilliant! And total co-sign on the magnificence that is Terrence Goddamn Stamp.
Thank you for your lovely comment! Your appreciation means a lot to me. And yes, Terrence Stamp is truly a legend!
Zod thinks they’re unlimited powers. He just doesn’t know their limitations.
30:44 - the look on your face is PRICELESS 😆
32:20 - Best scene out of ANY superhero movie
lol
"Awww shit...it's the Disco 3!"
Hahahahahaha
The king never misses.
lol
Yes!! Clark walking back to The Fortress Of Solitude is a powerful scene!!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed that scene! It really is powerful.
Damn, they cut out the part where one of the people say yeah let's get em yeah I know Judo 😂😂 after the other three beat superman.
Great sequel 😊
Thanks for playing all the Superman's. They are my favorite series of all time. Even before Star Wars Trilogy. There's also Superman 2 the Richard Donners cut. I'll saw all of them. Best Trilogy in the whole World.
thanks becky!
20:38 The actor who's playing the president is one of the jurors in the 1957 version of '12 Angry Men'. The one who has little emotion and thinks of things from a very logical standpoint.
Wow, that's a cool connection! It's always interesting to see actors in different roles throughout their careers.
@@PopcornReactions lol yeah I only it myself recently TBH and I've seen both movies quite a number of times. Superman 2 probably the most though.
Regarding your comment that Superman flying looked better than the other Kryptonians: Christopher Reeve was actually a qualified pilot and had flown both planes and gliders. His understanding of aviation led him to creating the arm motions, body turns, and even pointing his toes to make his body act as a "streamlined fuselage" during the flying sequences based on how he flew his planes and gliders. His knowledge of flying helped him sell the idea that a man could fly, which was critical to the success of the film.
Who would have thought that Superman's flying skills were inspired by Christopher Reeve's piloting experience? I guess being a superhero and a pilot go hand in hand!
I actually thought the fights with Zod were better here than in the more current Superman movie 👍
I though Antje Traue's fight with Supes was pretty good in Superman Returns.
I get what people are saying when they argue the Michael Shannon version is better but the 2013 version also had crazy good CGI effects that made his Zod formidable, and while the effects here are pretty good for their time Zod's menace is entirely resting on Terence Stamp's presence so even his looking at someone conveys this incredible threat that is so much more effective than anything we actually could see
@@HepCatJack You mean Man of Steel. Superman Returns was with Brandon Routh
I do love the scene in Man of Steel when Zod broadcasts his message to the Earth in all known languages 💯
Thanks for sharing! Man of Steel is definitely a great movie with some unforgettable scenes.
Had the crappiest day. Thanks mate, I was rolling with your commentary 😂
thanks Chris!
The beard guy reminds me of lurch from Adams family lol 🍿
yes!
When he says “Just say you love me “ she whimpers instead, like she’s sad.
It's amazing how small details like that can evoke such strong emotions in a scene.
@@PopcornReactions she doesn’t love him as Clark Kent; she loves him as Superman. But, he has to permanently become Clark Kent to love her, at all.
I was about three or four years old, saw it on TV. Was scared of it, but loved it.
nice!
Whenever I see Zod and his crew I think 🎵 I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar 🎵
that much is true
Man of Steel missed the point in some areas. Clark knows fighting in the city with the ZOD clan would be bad and destructive. You also don't need Kent's father to die in a tornado, the point was Clark can't stop his heart attack.Powers or no powers
I love all the cheese in the og Superman movies.
yes!
The terrorist who dropped the box played Uncle Vernon in the Harry Potter movies.
When I was a kid, I loved the Superman movies. Especially 3 because Richard Pryor was in it.
nice
One of the funniest reviews I've seen of this.
thank you!!
I'm ready for the quest for peace
He says “Just say you love me “ and she doesn’t say that.
Gaaaaawwdayum!!! Superman went into the crystal phone booth with Spinal tap pyro popping off lost his powers n first order of business.... meat to meat 😂🎉😂 then got sucka punched n busted his goofy ass open to tha white meat 😮😂 Clarke... lesson today is..pain 😵🤣 Lois a real one! Ready to put tha tips awn dude for whipping her mans ass!! 🔥💪🍻 Popcorn productions mean edit game!!
Kick his ass, Seabass
Kneel before Zod
Can u imagine a bunch of kids running around at recess quoting this? We did! Hahaha
I was waiting for Rocky to come out of that manhole! YO!! I didn't hear no bell!
lol
24:53 - Most famous line in superhero movie history.
This one is the best one of the Superman movies to me
Have you seen Flash Gordon
Thanks for this reaction
Flash Gordon >>> czcams.com/video/FkCBpsQNejs/video.html
Great reaction and comments dude. This movie is a classic.
thank you !
I think my mom took me to the theater to see this. We lived in a really small town and would get movies a while after they had been released. I also remember watching Star Trek II in the theater as a kid and the bug in the ear thing gave me nightmares for months. Till this day, I still turn away from the screen and act like I'm doing something during that scene.
Thanks for sharing your memories! It's always interesting to hear how movies can impact us, even years later.
Love this. Cant wait to see you cover 3 and 4!
Coming soon!
every time I watch Snyders MoS...I noticed the first 2 Superman films he made on some serious steroids 😅😂
Your kids are right, keep positing. Every time you go after the "just standin' around watchin' sh*t happen" people in movies I almost piss myself.
lol
"General, would you care to step outside?"
"Come to me, son of Jor-El, kneel before Zod!"
Fun Fact: The only one of the first four Superman movies not to have any scenes in Smallville.
Adaptation Accurate Fact: Clark (Christopher Reeve) uses the rare "super-kiss" to make Lois (Margot Kidder) forget he is Superman. Despite the backlash from the movie going audiences, this was a real power Superman had in the comics. However it was rarely used and eventually removed.
Eternal Return Case Study Fact: In a 2004 interview, Margot Kidder claimed that Richard Donner shot enough scenes to make his own cut of the film, and that the unused footage was "somewhere" out there. A website started a petition for Warner Bros. to allow and sponsor Donner's cut of this movie. The footage was re-edited into Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut (1980). History would repeat itself in 2021 with the Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) release.
That year was awesome!!!! I dragged my parents to see this one & Empire Strikes Back in 1980….good reaction!!! ZOD!!!!!! 🤯
awesome!!
@@PopcornReactions yessir it was!!!!
Man, you’re hilarious and great. I’m subscribed.
I appreciate that!
Showdown roasting young superman 😂
HAA
loved this as a little kid. it still holds up today! KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!
lol right!!!
LOL! Automatic follow. Your reactions are funny as hell!
lol !! thank you & Welcome aboard!
Agree about Terrence Stamps performance as Zod. He is/was the best Zod IMO 👍
yes!
Even as a likkle yout I thought Superman was crazy for giving up his powers for Margot Kidder! Not Lois Lane but Margot Kidder!!!
hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just in case nobody mentioned it on this thread Christopher Reeve was 6'4...
Clark Kent and Superman are two different personality types Clark Kent is supposed to be clumsy and nerdy while Superman is the strong Apex avenger none-the-less Clark Kent and Superman will always be played by Christopher Reeve in the greatest Superman of them all
"Now if she do find out you're Superman, she gonna be like "mother fucker, you let me die"
Lmfao !!! 🤣🤣🤣
lol
The Salkinds had Richard Donner to finish Superman II after the first movie made a ton of money, but decided to fire him since they didn't see eye to eye since the first film went way over budget, and was supposed to be released in the Summer of 78, but was released during the Christmas holiday. He also was fueding with the Producer Spengler. Spengler said if Donner is back, he'll leave, and they decided to fire him with Richard Lester. To give him full Director credit, they refilmed new scenes directed by Lester. Brando was fired and wasn't paid, and his scenes were cut out. He later filled a lawsuit against the Salkinds for not getting paid from his full salary. You ought to review the Donner cut. It's a lot better with John Williams' score, like in the first film. He also declined to return the Lester film. Also, in Donners cut, he had Brando restored for the his scenes that were cut out in Lester's film.
Thanks for the heads up on the Donner cut of Superman II. Can't wait to see Brando back in action!
Superman is petty. This dude went back to the diner to kill some bullies. Good reaction brother.
lol
😂.He didn't kill " Rock " ..just let him break his wrist and spun him around until he was knocked out
He didn't kill Zod and the others either..Zod just got a neck sprain..Non got a sprained ankle and Ursa was only knocked out temporarily..Superman had special pillows stuffed down the crevices around the crytals of the fortress which saved them..the police arrested them after but it isn't shown in this version
Your laugh is very funny 😆
👍👍
Huey lewis beat the hell out of clark
lol
It was Huey Lewis vs the Newsman
joe biden would ask if he could sniff them
Superman 3, and Superman 4 was and still is a really terrible script out of part 1, and 2 which is outstanding.
Even Christopher Reeves said it once, that the scripts from part 3, and four is terrible.
Well, let's hope James Gunn doesn't ruin the new upcoming Superman Legacy coming in July 2025, though at least James Gunn finally got the right character to play superman, but lois lane I don't think he picked the right character for the new movie in my opinion!!
sounds like fun
