Fender Custom Shop Texas Special Pickups Review -Perfect For SRV & Knopfler Tones

I bought these pickups as an upgrade for my '89 Silver Series Squier Strat. Let me know what you think of these pickups and if there are any others i should try out that might be a little easier on the ears in the high end.

I love texas special.. the neck is superb and middle are killer.. bridge has trick, low the heigh and , i have the tone there not in the middle, and i use tone in the bridge pickup for less treble.. texas special are better in very very low height on the pickguard.. thanks for sharing

Ahh that is good to know! the neck & bridge sounded mega but the bridge just sounded way to thin and harsh on the ears. not sure if i got a dodgy one tbh they looked like they'd been installed before.

They sound ok to me but as you say , bright ! Love the amp .. must save for one tbh .. cheers

Yeah think i might try some fat 60's see if they are a little better suited for me. The amp is definitely worth saving for!
