Bill Russell is the only player that won 11 championships! With two championships coming as a player and coach! As far as MJ and Lebron, in my opinion MJ & Kobe were on different levels. I like parts of Lebrons game but if someone could research 4th quarter dominance. The time win the game is on the line. Lebron hurts himself by actually being what most would to play with. A talented player that thinks to pass instead of just dominate. They fall like this to me. MJ- Gangster / Kobe- Killer / Lebron- Dope Dealer! Unfortunately Lebron has been caught flopping and honestly going missing in the fourth. Something you'd never see MJ & Kobe do! My G.O.A.T is Bill and I'm of the MJ Era. I personally have seen MJ and Kobe play or want to play through situations. Like Kobe had to be told he couldn't finish the game playing on a torn achilles! That is the only area where Bron lacks. That, (It's game time) give me the ball and I'll die before we lose attitude. As I mentioned Bill is my goat but those 2 were on another level of determination and will to win. And both Magic & Bird has said when Mike came along he completely took over the game! That's with MJ never getting a W over Bird. And as you said things come in cycles. Look at how Step has totally crushed the range of the average point!
Today's generation never saw other truly great players from the past... today, those same guys would be having a field day... had they played in this era. First off, there is no comparison, people... Michael Jordan is untouched when it comes to who is the GOAT! That said, other players would be embarrassing these guys who perform now. Unfortunately, no one seems to want to play defense nowadays. That in itself, tells you about the attitude of the game and where it went downhill.
Hi Jasmine, This debate is not even close...MJ is the GOAT and LeBron or LeFlop, as good as he is, falls way short when it comes to being "clutch" during crunch time and playing thru hurt & pain to will his team to victory!!! I personally saw MJ do that too many times, and do it against my team too!!! MJ hands down!!!
