This P-51 is very easy to assemble. Screw the horns into the control surfaces. Just use 2 screws per horn. Assemble the airframe (wing onto fuselage, horizontal and vertical stabilisers onto fuselage). Charge up the flight battery with the provided USB charger and you are ready to go. Pre-flight check to ensure that the control surfaces move in the right direction. We found that the ailerons were reversed. If you need to reverse ailerons after switching on the model and transmitter, ensure you keep the throttle at zero, then hold the aileron stick (right stick) over for a few seconds to correct them.
In the air this P-51 has a good turn of speed. Complimented by the gyro stabilisation system this is good for relative beginners through to expert RC pilots who want a small plane to keep on the passenger seat.

I can't say anything bad about it ! It sure seems to zip around very well and Mr Jason sure makes is look nice in the air I think this is worth the money for someone that want to feel safe and as U get more comfortable as U see it will do some very nice loop inverted flight. Thank Fellows!!

I just ordered my Volantex P-51 and charged the battery and plugged it in with no results after I attempted to pair the transmitter with the plane am I missing something?

Hey guys, just bought this plane thanks to you two, nice demo, but I would like to see rudder, elevator, and ailerons in action before a flight, just to see it. I also hope the motor speed is more than on and off as I would like to fly very slow also, and this was not mentioned. I also intend to add a small weight of some sort, perhaps a rod with a sliding weight on the underbelly, to bring the plane into perfect balance, for when it is, one can literally see the pure beauty of flight, and not just a weight being dragged around by a motor. When you see what the plane does when you shut off the motor you will automatically know which way to move the weight, and you move it ever so slightly. When perfectly balanced a plane in relation to the air will look somehow different, which is something that must be seen to fully understand this sort of beauty, and also, when coming in for a landing, with motor off, the plane will just keep going as it ever so slowly finally touches the ground with a feather touch, a most beautiful thing to see. Every video I have seen where the pilot makes a perfect landing you can hear the ooohs and arhs from the crowd because people just love the beauty of it, and when a plane is perfectly balanced it happens every single time and with precision. Just so beautiful, where one can literally see the essence of flight, can really see it flying, hanging from air. I hope it arrives in perfect condition since I have seen so many complaints about Volantex, broken or missing parts. It sounds to me like they are sending out returned planes, used and broken, I hope not. Thanks again for the demo, and if you were to add the things I have mentioned I do believe the videos would be awesome.
I ordered one on banggood usa warehouse and got it the next day (california) for $112. I also would like to see the elevator in action. I seem to have more range of motion on the elevator in beginner and mid modes and less range of motion in expert mode , is that normal ?
I Just have flown it and it was such an amazing experience(it was my first rc flight, hopefully i didnt crashed and did a pretty good landing), but the flight time was only 5 minutes and want to make it longer but i dont know which battery to choose, which one won't be too Big and too heavy, can you help me??

Hi TD, no, it doesn't sound normal. I can only suggest reading the instructions carefully. There may be something about turning on the electronics first to put all the push rods in their proper position, and then adjust moving parts by turning the connector ends carefully, to bring everything to neutral, so there is no up or down elevator, and so on with all other controls. Make sure when you push the right stick to the right that the right aileron goes up, which banks the plane to the right. I viewed a large beautiful plane on take off do a direct nosedive, oops.Other then that make sure nothing is broken, like a split that may not be that easy to see without putting a little pressure on it with your fingers. Does the RTF version tell you when battery is getting low when flying or can you give a rough time I can set for my maiden flight just till I get to know it ill be in intermediate most of the time still a novice so what can I exspect flying time to be with out aromatics??? thanks
You will feel when the battery gets tired thanks to the ESC which has a built in thing that makes it "feel" when the battery goes below a specific voltage that it will automaticlly slow down the motor, so yes.

Since this is not a pop away prop like the smaller version, will crash landing(which I assume is the only way to land with this kind of landing gear) break the prop or worst damage the motor/motor mount?
Yes is the answer. This video was long time ago. I would probably add something under the fuselage to minimise the chance of the prop getting damaged on the ground.
Great video! How long does it take to charge the battery? Are there ways to upgrade the charger (for faster charge) or the battery, and can additional batteries be purchased?

I don't remember specifically what we used but it would have been within range specified on the product page. 11.1V 500mAh ~ 800mAh 20C Li-Po

It can be ok as a beginner plane only because it has gyro stabilization but you probably would have a better experience with a slower and inherently stable trainer plane. Those trainer planes can also perform basic aerobatics so you would still be able to have lots of fun :)
No. Buy a high wing type plane. You will crash and destroy this plane in seconds if you have not flown RC planes before...even if you have experience of quadcopters. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

6 to 7 minutes from memory but it depends how much throttle you use. This is quite an old design now. I'd recommend one of the mini Warbirds we reviewed recently. Not as big but a lot of fun and very durable. www.banggood.com/custlink/Dv3HVrzlrj

Does this plane offer a low battery alert?
Sorry I don't recall but I have never depended on that. If you did fly for too long you would still be able to control the aeroplane, you just would have very little power to the motor/propellor so would be able to land.

I destroyed my first P 51 and now I'm flying my second one. With both airplanes, when flying, I get movement in the elevator while flying and the airplanes is doing some noticeable porpoising. Is there any way to stop it from porpoising while flying?
I think that's down to the gyro. I actually saw it happen to another one of these P-51s at my local club. Seems to be quite bad at higher speeds. I don't know the answer. I would recommend searching for this model on RCgroups, RCUniverse or WattFlyer and see if anyone has solved it.
@@EssentialRC I agree it's the Gyro. I have many Eflite airplanes with Safe mode and none of them do any porpoising.

Can anyone help me,I purchased this plane and can not find a way to attach the spinner onto the shaft with the prop,the spinner has a hole in it where it fits onto the shaft but does not fassen onto it,maybe there was suppose to be a part to attach it,but if there is its missing,can anyone who has this plane please help me other wise mine is just a show piece
It's a 2 part spinner. The cone part is very thin and fragile so remove it carefully maybe with a sharpie. There should be a prop adapter that fits onto the motor shaft. Put that on first, then the prop, then the lower part of the spinner, then two nuts, then the cone part of the spinner. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
@@EssentialRC Dear Dom,i can see where my problem is,there were no parts that came with my plane,they must have been left out when my plane got packed,I had to go to my local hardware store to get screws to fasten the wings and elevator on,I tried everwhere on line to try to find the missing attachments you mentioned but can not find them anywhere,can you help me please as I am ancious to fly my plane,the plane did come with a prop but it has nothing on it as for attachments go,it looks like something may need to be attached to the prop

Is this the same transmitter as the 400mm version? I accidentally bought propellers for the 750mm version and it seems like a good reason to have to buy the 750mm version. 🤣
Nope, the protocol used in this is completely different to the V761 protocol used in the 400mm version! Also the protocol used in this CANNOT be hacked for the 4-in-1 Multi Protocol Module Radios due to hardware incompatibility. Your only hope is if Volantex might issue a different version with a different protocol or S-bus/DSM satellite receiver sockets on the flight board.
Can anyone who ownes this plane help me out,I purchased the plane but it came with no parts bag,I went to the hardware store and purchased some screws to fasten on the wings and tail but can not put on the prop or the spinner,I joined a local flying club and am ancious to fly my plane but can not if I can not get the parts missing so I can put on the prop and spinner,is there a make shift way to do this?

It don't depend of the frequency. Normally all new transmitters uses 2.4ghz. It's depends of the modulation of the signal.

I'm a big fan of these small planes.I build alot of them so I can just fly in my park.I'm not to keen on these gyro stabilized planes.it's kinda cheating.I agree that these little planes do need a gyro.but it just takes all the skill out of flying

Sir what would you think about raising money threw out the R/C industry, no matter which country to help people, and Children in this so much time of need. We all in the R/C industry could really help, and it would boost the industry and do for good. Our politic leaders need to understand that. We hobbyist and pros are good people,and our governments need to see what a positive influence we are. ( we inspire our future pilots) That, our governments need to realize.
$220 for a plane this size seems fairly steep to me. I would rather go with Tower Hobbies, or Motion RC for the mustang much better deal in my opinion.

Great video of flight. I must say as an RC pilot of 20+ years I can not stand all these gyro planes. It has taken the skill out of flying. If someone can only fly with a gyro enabled they should stick with flight sims.
