Not sure what this is about... The woodworking was legit, welding to. Dunno if the welding hack is necessary but it's actually a great beginner project. Most people just build a cube or something useless lol, at least I'll have my shitty wrench for something lolol
@@boopscrootles6786 The woodworking was atrocious. That joinery he did with the 2 by stock was absolutely horrible. Like he said, way worse joint with way more steps. A simple dovetail would have done better then whatever the hell that was.
@@nickjones4752 never said it was the best way to do it. But it's definitely a beginner method often used along side biscuit joinery techniques in your most early projects. This is a hacks channel for average Joe's, if you're capable of a dovetail why you watching this video anyway?
I tell you what, I dropped a nut on my garage floor and went to pick it up and said to myself "why are you using your fingers, you fool!" So looked around the house for an hour for a wooden clothes pin to take apart to make that thingy picker upper tool but didn't find one. Ended up driving and spending 2 hours to go to the store and bought a 100 pack of wooden clothes pins. Got back in my garage, spent 15 min making my clothes pin thingy picker upper and when I went to grab the nut it popped off and went flying. Now I can't find it.

The one where he joined two pieces of wood with dowels has me scratching my head because: 1) why would you not put glue where the two pieces are joined and 2) what's the point of putting two angled dowels on either side that do absolutely nothing structurally?
