Brought to you by the modder Red Hornet who is also famously well known for his Rome Era Chapter mods on Attila, the Napoleonic Era Chapters mod is the next big thing for the game that I have personally been enjoying for a few weeks now.
From France to Spain to Italy to Egypt and to Russia, Napoleon had a hell of a military career and Napoleon Total War does a fairly good job of capturing the essence of his strategic genius. But it's missing quite a lot of key pivotal moments. That's where this mod comes in, to fill all the gaps and give you the definitive Napoleon Total War you never thought possible.

And if you haven't played them yet, I absolutely recommend you check out the Roman Eras Chapter mods on Attila as well. Redhornet has done some incredible work to bring to life Roman history in Total War, and now with the Napoleonic Eras Chapter mod he continues to prove his modding expertise! Can't wait to see all the other unit rosters properly fleshed out!

Honestly wish Napoleon was remastered so we could have a mod manager that could launch the various mods for Napoleon rather than being forced to uninstall and install mods all the time.

Glad you used the old Napoleon music: reminds me of my 2010-2012 days of old role playing days and when I was in school, man. I played this game at launch so much and multiplayer so much.

This really just looks La Montee de L'empire but with a few tweaks here and there but thank you for covering this!
It's based on LME yep! But tons of new stuff, new units, and of course the chapters
It takes that same line as LME and Darth combining what I loved about each and then takes it to a different level defiantly should give it a shot!

Great stuff, and what a work!
I havent played it yet but this concept of cmapaign chapters sound amazing. That gives another meaning to play the campaign, as following the missions allow you to unlock the another map, and another, just like we have in "regular" single player RTS games. After all if you dont like it you can play whatever you want or continue after finishing the goal of the chapter. I would be very happy to see this idea on new Total War game.

Very interesting but how does it actually work ? How many turns per year ? Does the campaign end and are we sent back to main menu when we reach the next chapter ? Or is it something like empire II with early and late script ?
When i opened the game my favorite music suddenly pop up "I Vow To Thee My Country" it makes me excites

I've been playing this mod for a while now and i'd say that out of all the mods i used, the ai in napoleonic chapters is probably the best i've seen

@kaiser4344 I've played all of those except for LME4 and found that none of them have as enjoyable an adversary in the AI as does the Chapters Mod.

Hello Terminator. The instalation video from Red Hornet is not so good. On the moddb, there are new files, and they do not correspond to the video instalation. Meybe there is another explanation? On discord nothing as well! Thanks!

Is this better than FCN for single player? The improved AI intrigues me, but how does it handle 40 units compared to FCN? And are the realistic battle mechanics more similar to NTW3, or vanilla?
Hmmm it's hard to say really. The 40 units are great though not sure if it's better compared to FCN. As for battle mechanics it's definitely closer to NTW3 than vanilla
the ai is pretty good and has been tweaked to take alot of line engaments and not always bayonet charge, but the maps are often too small for the 40 units 350 soldiers regiments. But its still the best napoleon singleplayer mod by far.

Hey looks like your mod loading order is wrong, seeing some of your unit is not reskined and wrong battleflag, it will be good if you join their discord, they very helpful.

Since all the unita have wrong tags, how do I know which is which? Skirmishers, grenadiers, line infantry, light infantry etc.
i mean grenadiers and elite troops have 240 troops in 1 unit while line infantry has 262 and light infantry have 150 or something like that
I downloaded it it was great but it had one problem and that was the launcher which there wasn’t any so if you want a chapter you need to do a bunch of file managing to get it right and the download took a while and the french monarchy faction was disappointing you cannot recruit any generals to your armies.

Oh really? That's quite disappointing, as the LME4 mod which this mod seems based after has a very good launcher for choosing different campaigns.
you absoloutely have to use the napoleon mod manager, then its just selecting what chapter you want and copying the skins into you folder.
This is really what's turning me off from trying this mod. I don't wanna micromanage a bunch of files.

I came here to tell you about the greatest mod to have ever been created, thinked or developed (from my opinion lol) to Medieval 2. It is the Europe Ancient mod for Medieval 2
This mod is basically, Rome 1 Truly remastered, since it is a conversion from Rome 1 to Medieval 2, with factions and everything. It probably isnt the best, and there are better mods out there, but i think this mod needs at least a message, since it tries to bring that old Rome 1 Vanilla feeling that i loved, with the changes of medieval, and also there is a sub mod to bring even better fixes and 4 new factions never seen before in Rome 1
I believe, it deserves to be mentioned, at least!

Finally a napoleon mod with 40 units. I knew how to add 40 units in the game for years but I never knew how to it for the AI too. Does this mod do that? If so how does the AI behave with 40 units?
Field Command Napoleon had 40 unit armies for player and ai. I don't remember what the current name of the mod is, but they've still got a discord with plenty of players.
you need the empire safe file editor, very simple to do just watch a vid.
I am playing with the 1792 Campaign, I've only played 5 turns in, and I didn't have 40 unit army slots. Maybe that's something I have to research with my college, is that true?
u have to edit game files to have 40 unit armies. just search tw 4o unit army and a guide will show up its really really eazy

If I had a dollar for every Empire/Napoleon mod I've played that claims to "improve the battle AI," only to then have the enemy just stand there while I shoot them....I'd have like five dollars.

The criticism about the roster bloat is unnecessary imo. All the factions got perfectly sized rosters except for france, wich has a large roster because there are lots and lots of actual historical regiments with information about what campaign they took part in and how the got their names etc. These units are ofcourse meant to be reskins of exsisting base units just with their historically appropriate uniforms.
Mod looks really cool - shame that many of the ideas weren’t already in the vanilla version.
I don’t know if it’s just me but the lack of backpacks on the infantry models really bothers me. Makes the whole thing look like a cheap documentary scene.
If this mod was made easier to install it would have greater play. LME mod is ok the AI is to passive. I have failed twice to get it to work. Looks great though.
you should have shown more new reskins for units, i just saw 1 or 2 here, the rest is just lme4 or vanilla... :(

you have to downlad the empire save file editor. There you can go into the save file and enable 40vs40 or 50vs50 how you want, maybe watch a youtoube toutorial but its very easy once you know how to.
for me the problem wih napoleon/empire is the map of the campaign

This is by no means a new mod. This is basically the LME mod (Le Montee de le Empire). It even says so at the start menu of your own video which LME is known to have different campaigns
You claiming full of bombastic claims this is a new mod is just not true. This mod is amazing but by no means.

i totally agree with you. This mod is nothing than a little thing of copy and paste. The main issues are not fixed yet. I looked in the files an their is nothing different from LME4.2. The units are the same, the tech tree ist the same, the game physics of smoke and bulltes are the same. The mod dont overrite the main Audio files from the Vanilla version, this was done by the last update from CA, so no mod have the ability to overite the main files. They also included the main thing to merge the pack data from 1 to 6 to one mega single pack data . All in one it sounds like a little bit of a scam.
False hype as always. Since, I watch legend of total war videos this channel is being recommended regularly but I silenced this forever today. This channel and Andy's Fake are truly mocking people's minds.

This is for SP, NTW3 is for MP so yeah different type of mod here. Give it a go and find out :)
I only play single player, and i think its much better. The battle ai works better as well i think.

It is the LME Mod changed, was able to install LME, but unable to install. Should be made into three eras with the right stuff in their own folder.
