I spent 5 years at this orphanage and never saw any abuse that is being claimed. I credit it for being my refuge at a time in my life that was abusive and chaotic and I needed a place to heal. I have great respect for the nuns who looked after me. Were they perfect, no, but they weren't abusive and cared for me at a time when my own family couldn't. I will not speak for those who looked after the boys because it's an area that I was never in but I will defend the nuns who watched over the girls when I was there.
