Ombudsman sceptical about ‘transparency’ of investigations into NHS trust - BBC Newsnight

  • For the past six months, Newsnight has been investigating allegations of a “toxic, mafia-like” culture at one of the country’s biggest hospital trusts.
    In a number of films over that time we've spoken to serving and former clinicians, whistle blowers and have heard from those who claim to have been punished for raising patient safety concerns - an accusation the Trust in question, University Hospitals Birmingham denies.
    In response to our investigation - with BBC West Midlands colleagues - the NHS announced three reviews into patient safety, culture, and leadership. But while there have been calls from campaigners and politicians for a more independent, judge led inquiry, there has been no significant intervention from regulators, ministers or watchdogs, until now.
    In an exclusive interview, safety investigator the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman - the last port of call for people unhappy with the NHS in England - tells Newsnight of his serious concerns about the different probes, and his difficulties investigating University Hospitals Birmingham.
    Newsnight’s Chief Correspondent David Grossman reports.

      They do. They lose their jobs get gagged & thats just the start of it. The NHS will blacklist them this includes being a patient too. And you'll soon find out what the secret service really get up to. In a nutshell a whistleblower is not taking on a NHS trust, they are taking on the Government & all their resources available to them.

    Can anyone ask why the Tetanus injection incorporates a pregnancy hormone that if cumulative results in a high fertility HCD level which your body will attack in actual pregnancy. There is some question that pharmaceutical companies initially developed the vaccine as an abortion offer in 1970's could this be true?. A correlative study would be relatively easy to carry out.

    • @educationsolution9766
      @educationsolution9766 Před rokem +1

      Thank you for sharing your question. In October 2014, a group of concerned Catholic bishops in Kenya released a statement claiming a tetanus vaccine program aimed at women entering or in their childbearing years was in actuality a stealth attempt to sterilize women en masse for unstated reasons.
      However, I want to clarify that the Tetanus vaccine does not contain any pregnancy hormone, and there is no evidence to suggest that it can cause high fertility HCD levels or be used as an abortion offer. The vaccine is specifically designed to protect against Tetanus, a serious and potentially deadly bacterial infection. Its safety and efficacy have been extensively studied and confirmed by numerous scientific studies and regulatory agencies worldwide. While it's understandable to have questions and concerns about vaccinations, it's important to rely on accurate information from credible sources when evaluating their safety and effectiveness.
      Among questions raised by the group in its statement about the tetanus vaccine campaign in Kenya were why the vaccines were considered necessary if no "tetanus crisis in Kenya" had been declared, why the vaccine was offered primarily to women between the ages of 14 and 49, why boys and men were not targeted by the campaign, and why tetanus was "prioritized" over other illnesses affecting citizens of Kenya:

    I’ve been medically neglected for the past few years. I’ve got almost killed by forcefully infecting me medicine with an overdose(double daily injection within few minutes) of the medicine I was allergic to. I had to be saved in the other hospital for over 8 hours because of allergic reaction. I was told my bladder is about to explode so they had to put catheter through my genitals but when the nurse came to pull it out she ripped it off with entire strength damaging my internals and causing internal bleeding. I was painfully peeing with blood for over two weeks. Till this day I have problems with holding a urine. Then I was admitted to hospital again and they were using severe mental health medications on me with a high dose for 3 months and caused me becoming physically disabled till this day. I cannot work anymore and I’m 32 years old. My physical health deteriorated and I’ve been in the hospital numerous times throughout the last two years but every time I’m being told I’m fine or it’s just a chest infection. I’ve never seen any test results. I’ve even asked for them but got refused. I didn’t even receive medical records after request from a mental health hospital when I was being treated. My gp is ignoring me. My health deteriorated so much I’m unable to function and I was told I have symptoms of a heart failure but again I was told that I’m perfectly fine. Even doctor said that my swelling of the ankles isn’t a swelling and when I’ve asked what’s that he said it’s a chest infection. When I had ECG after 5 hours of wait the man didn’t even turn on the machine while I was having sensors on me. They refuse to provide me any medical attention and I’m preparing myself to die and I’m saying farewell to everyone I know. Last time when I was at A&E in Bradford I had series of sharp pains in my left side of the chest going to my left armpit and my entire left arm became purple and I’ve almost fainted. No one provided me any help. I was told I’m fine and told me to go home. Even when I’ve lost pulse in my entire right leg at the end of last year they’ve sent me home without doing any checks or giving me diagnosis. I’m trying to study medicine by my own and naturopathy and I’ve ordered many herbal remedies but I think it’s quite too late for it. I’ve contacted few dozens of medical negligence solicitors and no one wants to take my case. Even today I went to out of hours gp and the doctor asked me for urine test(only that, they’ve stopped even taking my blood samples this year). After five minutes she said my kidneys are fine. I’ve googled how much takes analysis of urine and it’s about a day up to a week but the drug tests are within few minutes. So I assume they did drug test on me. I’m being refused to receive any medical attention and I’m being lied to by doctors nurses paramedics and gp. This is beyond any form of absurd. If I die I will return with Lord Jesus Christ and he’ll judge this world and I’ll ask Him to be the executor of the wicked. Hope for this health service is lost. They’ve should change the meaning of the NHS abbreviation to Non-Helping Service. They should all burn in hell. And they want increase in salary? It’s not a joke anymore. They treat me worse than an animal. Even when I had suicidal thoughts and was asking for help because I actually wanted to kill myself my mental health team and crisis team told me “just go for a walk”. They’re inhumane people. Worst health care that ever happened to me and I though my health care from my country is extremely bad but NHS won the main prize in being the worst scumbags on earth.

    Dear BBC, Great video, thanks. However, I’m commenting for a different reason. I’ve never looked at a BBC video comments section before. I am familiar with CZcams Comments sections. The comments here are, well, almost universally a surprise and unique in my experience in this type of video. Of course, such commentary is commonplace on YT, but is only found where it would be expected - not here then; not as the large majority of comments. This is concerning and I wonder if you know why - I don’t.
