Very nice jig, simple and adjustable! I made my jig from a 6 foot shelf rail, two shelf supports, some threaded rod and two spring clamps. Works great for tying up band sets... also works very well for making and serving bow strings :-) I'm just getting back into (natural fork) slingshots after decades of being away. Thanks for your videos - think they are excellent!
Nice ! The old "Toggle clamp"
Just ordered mine!! Thx SimpleShot team!
You are welcome. Thank YOU!
Very cool indeed
like that pretty cool that might be good for my ally raptors cheers Nathan
Very nice 👍🏼
Thanks!
Ótimo!!! 👍👍👍👍
Neat. I’ve never tied my own pouches before so this would be a good tool
Thanks! They're available today! simple-shot.com/vip/diy-bandset-starter-kit/
There's nothing like tying your own bands!
SimpleShot It’s definitely something I wanna get into. I’ve only really ever used premade stuff for slingshots but I feel like I’m helpless if something breaks haha
I use nylon twine!
SlingshotWarrrior that’s so 2012 lol
@@imwrongbecause69 Haha, it works though.
SlingshotWarrrior for sure. The crystal string stuff is great stuff though, my bands have been lasting longer since i started using it
@@imwrongbecause69 I wonder where I could get some?
Simpleshot sell it don’t they?
Why use a jig to stretch the pouch? It seems a little tug with ye ol' fingers would do same job, although minus the precise uniformity between several pouches. Please advise.
Getting an even stretch does indeed result in equal band length and pouch tightness on both sides.
It also just makes it a LOT easier. :)
When you tie the pouch on, the first time you use the bandset, the knot will tighten down on itself, so the variance can actually result in differing band lengths. This is especially important if you are using tapers.
And, of course, the jig holding the bands in place makes it MUCH easier to tie.
@@simpleshot copy that. Thank you for the insight. I'll pick up a jig from your site soon. By the way, I love the gear I got from you guys a couple weeks ago. Thank you.
