Watch some animated movies and see which series impressed you with its presentation style and try to find out or just search the internet what techniques are used in it.
I chose 3D because I thought I would lose the exact shape of the character whenever my character moved but that was just my thinking. But 2D artists handle it very well so choose your art wisely if you are confused but have time then read articles about both these techniques and just watch some timelapse ✌. best wishes brother😊
One thing I forgot to mention is that 3D has many applications in the real world and some artists are now even using a combination of 2D and 3D. 3D models are easy to reuse, accurate and take less time to create a scene if you know the concept of 3D art (but there is no substitute for hard work). On the other hand I find 2D art difficult so I chose 3D but I will always say you should take time to choose your style.

@@FX_HEART Maya is not the leading software now for 3d modeling but was. Blender is now the best 3d modeling software because it's performance. So that Ubisoft use Blender for making Their Gaming Map. But Maya is the best for Character animation. But you can't do simulation work with Maya. But you can do anything with Blender. I used most of the software and I know which have which position. Though Industry depend heavily on Maya. But most of the department on maya written by their own customized code. You know that. But this is not all. They have their own colour grading software that make a dull animation to a fairy tale.

@@codecomfort Don't use Houdini. Houdini is very hard. If you are in higher level of education on science department mainly in Mathamatics You shoud use it. You Are Not Going To Create Next Super Blockbuster. A Man Cannot Make A Commercial Movie That Have Heavy Simulation Work Like Fluid Smoke Fire. More Than 100 People Work For Commercial Long Movie. Every Commercial Movie Use More Than One Software For Animation Work. Not Only Maya/ Houdini though this video described like this. Most Of The Company Use Maya( For Animation Work)+ Houdini (For Simulation Work) . But They Customize Their Software writing their own script by coding. Even Disney and Pixer use Maya heavily. But They Have Their Own Colour Grade Software. But For Animation They Use Maya. But Blender Is A Very Good Tool. Blender may be not as good as Maya for character animation but It is all thing that you need like Adobe Animate+Maya+Houdini . Blender is better than Maya or Houdini or any other software. Though Houdini is best for simulation work Maya for character animation. Even Blender beaten 3ds max for architecture work more than one year ago.
