Ya! like wtf is that?
When dhar mann said to cody "not everybody speaks english as their first language" the sketches all suddenly made so much more sense to me ?? like to native english speakers, the simple dialogue, simple characters, and Very enunciated words can seem like you're being talked down to, but when you take into consideration people still learning english or just aren't as confident in the language, the simpleness is more helpful than anything else. There's also the english speaking disabled community, as there are MANY disabilities where easily understood content like his is important (I'm kind of embarrassed i didn't think of that one myself, as i myself am in the disabled community, but i suppose I just have more trouble with reading than any kind of auditory processing disorder...)
Without that perspective, it's easy to find the conclusion that dhar mann isn't a good writer, or is lazy, but seeing him talk about it with cody really showed that he just really cares about his content's accessibility.
not everyone wants super complex storylines and crazy ambitious content, sometimes an audience just wants to watch something simple that makes you feel nice, and making content to fulfill that is just as admirable as any other kind of online content.
It was also nice to see cody reevaluate his opinion on something. It's a hard thing to do, especially when you were so vocal about it. It's very mature of him, and an excellent example for younger people, and i suppose it's also a lesson to be learned from this video lmao

In light of recent happenings and like the rest of the CZcams creater community, I hope CodyKo speaks out/makes a video addressing Dahr Mann’s predatory and exploitative treatment of people in his studio as resources instead of people. Especially since CodyKo would have seen inside the studio to some degree, given the content of this older video. I really appreciate how creators like Jarvis Johnson have used their platform to get the word out, but in a way that acknowledges that we don’t have all of the facts and merely is trying to get the word out that something might be going terribly wrong.
Fully agree. Kinda sad to me how easy it is for Dhar Mann to present himself as a genuine good guy. Ofc he isn't all bad but his business decisions definetely don't line up with his image...

it's such a cool thing to see cody ripping on people then collabing with them. the dude dhar built the cringe from the ground up, he knows exactly what it is and who it's for. but my favorite part of all of this is that cody never loses. he wins even harder when he gets confronted about it lol. EDIT: mans really named the dickhead Jake and the head chef Gordon. what a legend.
