Good job on the cowlings and good job on the video itself. Living in Breaux Bridge is perfect for your hobby/work. The Bayou Teche has so much history behind it.
On my 1956 RDE -18 30 hp I used vintage outbord paint 1956 Holliday bronze color good job 👍

1950s - 1960s - 1970s Johnson and Evinrudes 20 HP and less
I sell and restore them as a hobby -- any condition is fine as long as all or most parts are there
I would consider other brands - Mercury, Yamaha, Toshiba, etc - I would sell parts on Ebay

Any issues with fuel screwing up rustoleum paint? Just did my cowl and I need to fix a few things but I was wondering if I should hit it with clear coat to better protect against fuel and other contaminants.

Where do you get the cowling rubber trim for them?
I too would love to know the best replacement for that. It is discontinued from what I can tell.
