I just got on the JP laugh train. He was truly a national treasure. A shooting star that burned brightly, to the delight of many. This particular video showed his greatness as he could delight children and adults at the same time. The measure of a great comedian is defined by his or her ability to make you laugh even when you know the punch line. That is a gift that very few have been blessed with. RIP John. You left behind a glorious number of hysterically funny videos to be watched over and over. And I have.
As an Australian, im very proud we had John perform on Hey Hey! This show was unstoppable in the 80's/90's, I was only a kid, but man they had some talented guests, I never realised!!! Just awesome!
I love when he breaks out in song, he was such a wonderful person
Why is it all the good comedians leave us earlier than expected. He was one one the best.
What incredible presence. Took up the entire stage. Literally and figuratively. Glorious Comedian. RIP John
He could dance like MJ too, lol
Nobody has the comic sense of John Pinette. He's hilarious. God how I miss him.
I used to go to all his shows when he was in NY. At Govenours he would hang out at the bar after the show and talk with everyone. He was very personable.
He used to be an accountant!
I could not stoo laughing when he got on stage. His voices, facial expressions & timing was the best
Loved him. He autographed one of his dvds that I brought to a club. Awesome guy.
Classic material from a classic guy! The world was better because you were here, Jihn!
Who is Jihn? A nickname?
@@elliottpeabody1287John
I lost it when he did Alvin as the Miami Sound Machine!
😂😅
Only 50 when he died. Very talented and funny man.
Terrible loss RIP. Dude was hysterical
He lasted longer than I estimated. So sad.
And he was losing weight too. So sad to see him go so young
Eat your vegetables
What did you estimate?@@MelodyMan69
Loved John Pinette. R.I.P John.
Its 2024 and i have just recently found out about Jon Pinette. I couldn't believe it. How have i miss this. Then i watched this clip and remembered seeing this at the time and thinking "This blokes good". And he was.
I love John Pinette! Where was I? But, I found him now..my daily feel good dose. RIP funny man.
Me too. Love watch his old videos.
One of the funniest comics I've ever seen and heard. I watch all his videos with glee. So sorry he's no longer with us. He's hilarious in this clip, and he got so much better as he got older. His Chinese buffet bits and Ewok impressions put me on the floor. RIP Mr. Pinette!
Should have seen him in high school. So hilarious. Off color in such a non offensive way. He had a gift. Blessed to know him a bit.
Boston has produced some of the best talent in the business, and shows no sign of slowing down.
“Boston Strong!”
I miss the big guy, love coming across stuff I haven't seen him in before. Saw him live 2 times, I hurt so much from laughing, one of my favorites of all time.
I also only found out about John in the last few months watching his clips.
The man was a true comic genius in his simple look at himself and life.
I was sad to find out that he even passed away just over ten years ago at a hotel in our city of Pittsburgh at Station Square downtown.😢 😢😢😢😢
I adore him still
Loved him in Seinfeld
Absolutely amazing comedian and entertainer ❤ I wish I had seen him in person ❤
This dude is everything!
Jon Pinette
Pinette died on April 5, 2014, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the age of 50. Pinette's personal doctor signed off on his cause of death as pulmonary embolism altho All You Can Eat Buffets might have had something do with that.

Guess he’s still funny in Heaven, bet he misses the Buffet tho. He’ll be dying to come back to the Buffet Planet.
He lost a ton of weight before he passed. Such a peach of a man.
Oh no. I just recently discovered him on you tube. Had no idea he had passed away. I’m so sorry to hear that. He was incredibly funny
Good Samaritan Law🤣🤣🤣
Years ago I would take the lil plane from Wings in Blue Bell PA went right to Phila Gate d
This was way before 9/11
and yes come Monday 5Am we would all be weighed and many of us were half Johns size me I was closer to his size.
How many times due to the weight of passengers, our luggage would come on the next flight in about an hour.
Worst was coming home, yep weighed you and luggage and a few times I was told sorry you go by car.
Gave me a great incentive to drop 100 lbs.
John you went to young but HE has you doing your routines up stairs.
RIP and Thanks so much for the Laughs John.
Love comment at the end "now that's one big act"
First time I see a young John Pinette.
RIP John.🕊🙏🏼 Loss of an excellent person and comedian. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
Thanks.
You're welcome
John was wonderful!
Australia's answer to John Candy! Great talent.
He wasn't Australian!
@@AnnabellaRedwood Oh, so sorry, would you like me to bow before you and perform seppuku. Get a life.
He was America's answer to John, after all John was Canadian.
Was he out here in 1990 on tour and got asked by Yahoo Serious to be in Reckless Kelly, or is this him stopping by while having been brought out by Yahoo?
who would have known back in 1990 John Pinette would have been a success , I saw him live in 2010 & I nearly pissed my pants laughing so hard , thank you for the laughs John God rest your soul
Ya, thanks for sharing.
Nice.
Hilarious, I miss John, RIP.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL X INFINITY AND BEYOND. First time I've seen this one 😂😂
Loved him I reckless Kelly
One of the funniest ever😊
😢❤
He was an awesome comedian, gone way to soon 😢
RIP.
In this clip it looks like he's wearing a Qantas cabin crew tie
Wow he was doing the same material for many years.
Yep that's what good comedians do, they rehearse.
He was robbed in Seinfeld!
We all should treasure such a talent ! AND in his Honor, Instead of laughing at the “fat man“ we must also Speak our Truth that Grave Danger and Addiction lurks in Evil Exploitive Mega Factory “Foods” producing Obesity, Diabetes, Cardio vascular killers, not to blame our fellow friends but to lay the blame squarely on capitalist corporations, & thus support 😊each other to eat only Mother Nature’s bounty, and us live a healthy long Life with an inspiring sense of humor.
GONE WAY TOO SOON, GREAT TALENT RIP
No need to shout.
In
Gone too soon.
The host laughing on mic is annoying!!!!!
That would've actually been John Blackman in the booth upstairs.
He did the comedic voice over work, etc on the show. Very funny man.
The host was Daryl Somers. Another funny guy but that wouldn't have been him laughing through his mic.
Guess you have to be an Aussie over a certain age to appreciate the show and its format.
@@mebeme007 I am 64 years old. So I understand old shows format. I just found it annoying.
@@deltekkie7646
It has nothing to do with the show being old or new.
It was a very unique show, not only in Australia but anywhere in the world. The many celebrity guests they had over many years would attest to that.
I dunno this ain't funny
