I think what a lot of the people commenting on that don’t understand is that we, in most cases, don’t watch the game. We watch for the person in the video. Personally I’d watch you play a typing game. It’s your commentary and persona that keeps people coming back and watching your videos. Keep up the great work Nick!

Don't get me wrong, I don't watch for the games, I do watch for Nick, but obviously I wouldn't enjoy watching Nick play certain kinds of games. What makes him entertaining is how much thought and explanation he puts into the game. Unlike most other fortnite streamers or youtubers he gives break-downs, logical reasoning, and opinions on strats, weapons, and balance in the game. While I don't always agree with his examinations(like the time he said the Drum gun was the best weapon in the game, I thought it was the un-nerfed Double Barrel at the time) I can always see where he's coming from.
Doc Holiday I agree. But I’ve never been super good at FPS and third person shooter games, but do thoroughly enjoy playing them. So for me it’s always been just whatever’s he’s been playing is just an entertaining backdrop to his commentary.
The entertainment business contributes to society immensely, without entertainment we would come home from a long day at school/work and be bored/miserable. Entertainment helps us to relax and enjoy our spare time and it brings us closer together. Imagine coming home from a long and awful day at work and having nothing to do. No video games to play, no tv/CZcams to watch, no books to read, no music to listen to, not even any board games to play... that would suck. All professional gamers, actors, musicians, artists, authors, creators, etc. give us ways to enjoy our spare time and help us to enjoy life. It is very ignorant to say that people in the entertainment business don’t contribute to society when they might be one of the biggest things keeping society together

In many ways I would consider you an entertainer as well as a teacher. When I began to watch your bo3 SnD videos I was decent at the game. But as I continued to watch you my skill improved. Depends where you live. Being a doctor in Canada is fairly easy(not the work, but in terms of saturation). As we have a shortage of nurses, doctors, and possibly police as well in various parts of the country. But you won't be able to make your own business as a doctor here for good reasons, universal healthcare and yada yada.

Video games can be an outlet for angry and violent people. It’s not the cause or even a symptom of why shootings happen. Just because two things can be linked in some places does not mean that the causation is direct or linear.

I’ve watched this channel grow over the past 4 years or so and it’s been crazy. There’s a ton a negativity in the “gaming” field and towards us as gamers. But something that I found was cool (doesn’t have to deal with the conversation in the video) but a while back I saw someone comment on a twitch streamer reaction video of his saying something like “I hate how he acts like he’s a god at this game, I found love to see him get dumped on by an actual good player”. But what’s cool is that if you stop by the stream you’ll see he’s not perfect. Heck even in this video he showed himself dying to someone else. Anyways long story short we are all human, and we should put each other down because of what one does, aspires to do, or is in the middle of. As a cinematographer and photographer it’s a HARD time to get your name out there. I’ve been in this field for over 10 years now (which I know is not nearly as much as others) but it takes forever sometimes to grow and get your name out there. Thanks for the read.

This is why I love you Marksman. You approach criticism professionally and completely subjectively. You aren't rude, and you approach things correctly. The thing I find funny is that a lot of people that criticize so called "entertainers" for not contributing anything to society would be completely screwed if these people didn't exist. What would they do for fun to sedate themselves from a boring and depressing lifestyle? There have always been and always will be people that entertain others for a living, and that, I think, is one of the best contributions to society.
