Fallen Order really put into context how guys with guns managed to take down a bunch of Space Wizards with laser swords. Sure, Cal isn’t a fully trained Jedi, but how big of a skill gap is there, really? I still hear “Stim, BD!”
I mean the game is Soulsborne-lite. Much of these planets want to kill you, including the flora.
I love when the troopers actually manage to hit you almost all of them are surprised and even say "I actually hit something" or something along those lines and it is just hilarious that they now canonically are aware of their terrible aim thanks to Disney making it canon
Fallen Order actually made me feel like a Jedi for the first time in any video game in terms of combat

The Force Unleashed is my all-time favorite Star Wars game. It has a great story along with awesome gameplay and truly outstanding boss fights. And the characters are very unforgettable. From Rahm Koda, Juno Eclipse, Proxy, and especially Starkiller. This is a game I will never forget playing. And I'm not disappointed it got third place cause I'm just happy it's getting the recognition it deserves.

Personally love the Super Nintendo "Star Wars" games. Played them for hours. Same with PS2 "Battlefront II".
I’m going with both Force Unleashed games, Jedi: Fallen Order and Lego Skywalker Saga.
Play the Force Unleashed games on Wii and switch since they have motion controls that are actually pretty decent

Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) was arguably the best star wars game. I remember playing it on my old Playstation 2 for almost as long as it has been released, playing mostly with my brothers, but man did we have a lot of fun with that game, as there is just so much stuff to do, it is hard to get bored of the game. I have since got it for PC through Steam, and I still enjoy playing it every now and then.

Battlefront 2 (2017) needs to be waay higher even tho it had prob the worst start now it might arguably be the best star wars game

How could TIE Fighter (PC game from the 90’s) not make this list? It was one of my favorite games as a teen. I’m very disappointed it was not included in this list. An honorable mention goes out to TIE Fighter’s predecessor X-Wing.
I was shocked myself. Tie fighter was way ahead of its time and one of the funnest games of the 90’s

Played through Jedi Fallen Order on Jedi Grandmaster difficulty and it was absolutely sublime.

2017 Battlefront II I feel should have been higher. Though the devs didn’t respond well to criticism, the game is really good. The other games are very nostalgic though, but I still think it should have maybe been a bit higher.

Kotor isn’t just my favourite Star Wars game, it might just be my favourite game of all time - but that wasn’t a sentiment that I thought was shared with that many people. I was so pleasantly surprised seeing at number one, so thank you.

@@Vurawn410 hey that’s not a bad reason to keep postponing your PC build. I was a the Knights of the Old Republic fan when I first tried SWTOR and couldn’t get into it. Several years later now that I’m better at using a PC the game is fun as fuck the closest thing that we have to modern Knights of the Old Republic. It’s kind of like Knights of the Old Republic without auto attack.
Star Wars empire at war was amazing for an rts
Rouge squadron, Jedi academy, KOTOR, and battlefront(the original ones) are to me pure perfection for their generations.
Honorable Mentions: Jedi Power Battles for Playstation and Starfighter for PS2. Can't forget those gems
I love Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, so many fun memories from over the years. I feel like this game is kind of forgotten, so I love to see it in the list! I had the original game & the Clone Campaigns expansion! ☺️💕
I'm so glad that empire at war made it on the list. My introduction to rts games and one of the few games that I could run on my family's old Dell desktop as a kid.
My dad is a big starwars fan! When he was young, he watched sw movies from the 1980s and 1970s with his dad. When I was around 7, he showed me some of the older movies. At the time, I found them boring, but one day he got some cd's from his father and I rewatched it and found it quite engaging. However, I still wasn't convinced so my dad said, "I'll show you more movies and I'm sure you'll like them." Well, he lived up to his promise, and I fell in love with it! Thank you, dad! I played many of these games in my childhood - both KOTORs and Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series. When I was older I also played original Battlefront II, both Force Unleashed and this year - Fallen Order.
I still think TFU combat system is my favourite of them all - then Fallen Order and Jedi Outcast/Academy. I wish they made KOTORs remakes with this style of combat.
So glad to see Galactic Battlegrounds getting some love! To this day, it's still one of my favorite PC games.
Republic Commando still has the SMARTEST team A.I. I've ever fought alongside in a game.
Like...the amount of times I went down on hard difficulty only for them to fight through droids to get to me was Insane!

Not putting KOTOR 2 on this list is criminal. Yes… Obsidian didn’t live up to the BIOWARE original, but it’s great. AND… the fan patches as well as developer patches on Steam have elevated the game far beyond Force Unleashed, Jedi Outcast.
** Also Academy is better. Outcast II has too many outdated game designs, “remember this sequence, or hint because you can’t access it later, bi*ch!
the fanbase is kinda split on which is better. The general consensus is that both are amazing and it comes down to preference.
Agreed I always preferred KOTOR 2, but considering how close they were not having it on the list at all is crazy. Kreia to me is still the most interesting character in all of star wars
KOTOR 1 had the better story and planets as well, while KOTOR 2 had the better gameplay. Being able to convert party members into Jedi or Sith using influence was a game mechanic that made you second-guess and triple-guess your actions because you could gain influence with one character and lose influence with another character doing just one action.
@@michaeluphoff4749 the great part about what you said is that it's YOUR OPINION. I think KoTOR 2 is the overall better game and nothing will change this. Both games are amazing and it's a matter of personal preference like I said earlier
KOTOR 1 is a masterpiece in my opinion and the best Star Wars game of all time. KOTOR 2 on the other hand I find to be pretty good and is in my top 5 favorite Star Wars games. I think the story with KOTOR 2 is really strong but the game it's self feels a bit broken and I wasn't invested in the characters like was with the first which is why it's not top 3 for me but it deserves to be on a top 10 list for sure. I really wish they got to make a proper KOTOR 3. Hopefully they remake KOTOR 2 after remaking the first KOTOR which will lead to a proper KOTOR 3.
Star Wars battlefront 2 the newer one & Star Wars revenge of the sith 2005 are both criminally underrated on this list and should absolutely be in the top 10. Side note I think the top 3 are almost perfect I would reorganize a couple but solid overall list

One of my first ever, and all-time favorite, Star Wars games will always be the original Star Wars Rogue Squadron for the N64.
Jedi Academy is the best Star Wars game.

Lol. It's not though. It's phenomenal and I played that game religiously for like 3 years until they released an update that Nerfed the entire system and ruined it. But we all know that Kotor is the greatest Star wars storyline ever told
@@devinfaucette You haven't played through the latest expacs clearly, or you'd change your mind. Kotor is good for a linear RPG, but SWTOR slays all as a fun MMORPG!
@@SSobotkaJr my problem with Swtor now is that they completely nerfed the companions, customization, and everything. I don't like how you level to a planet. Back in the day you would be maybe level 12 maybe 13 once you were done doing everything you possibly could on a starter world. Now they've nerfed the whole leveling system you're like 20 by the time you leave your starter world which means you're completely overleveled for the next world which means you're going to be increasingly overpowered for the world after that and it just keeps going in this endless vicious cycle. That's insane to me in the sith warrior storyline when I have to go and get Jaessa's master you have to go back to Nal Hutta to fight him. He destroyed me completely I had to ask somebody to group with me to beat that guy now it levels you to 10 that fights over in 2 minutes. Where is the challenge? You can solo heroics. You can solo group challenges. Where's the fun where's the challenge? I can't do it everything about what made the companions unique is gone and they're all the exact same. I can't do it.

I just ordered the Star Wars Jedi Knight Collection and I'm hyped to once again experience some of the best lightsaber combat in a video game.

Star wars squadron is like the succesor to Xwing vs Tie fighter Balance of Power and Xwing Alliance. A unique Space simulation StarWars style

I still play almost all of these games despite beating the campaigns multiple times, also the Wii ad Switch versions of Force Unleashed are the best due to the motion control and being the only 2 versions with multiplayer. Also I think I saw the Ebon Hawk in the trailer for Eclipse or at least a ship that looked a lot like it to where I am excited more than ever for that game when it finally gets released.
See I prefer the PSP's version of the Force Unleashed as it too has multiplayer. But also includes other modes like Historic Battles, Duel, and my personal favorite mode Order 66.

I feel like the force unleashed is one of the only games that lets you just use your powers freely.
Like battlefront games, you press a button, an animation plays and some damage is done to an enemy, and then you have a cooldown. Or SWTOR where you press a button, some damage is down, and you have a cooldown. Etc
But in force unleashed you can use your powers how you want and when you want. Grip something and then physically guide it, or infuse it with lightning, launch it full force into a storm trooper. It just gives you full freedom to use your powers and that’s probably why it’s one of my favorite video games out there.
LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga kinda took shooting mechanics from Battlefront, and combat/Force mechanics from Force Unleashed.
Swtor is definitely my favorite game of all time, so much content and its all great

As someone Let’s Playing SWTOR & Skywalker Saga and as someone who also grew up with The Force Unleashed I & II LEGO Clone Wars, LEGO The Force Awakens, DISNEY INFINITY 3.0, Jedi Fallen Order and whose first ever game was the Complete Saga I agree with a majority of this list.👍👍Happy May the 4th everyone.
Jedi Academy is one of my old time favorites games. I used to play it on my first Xbox. But Now I play it on my Nintendo switch along with Jedi Outcast.
If LucasArts can get back on track, I'd love to see a KOTOR TV adaptation. Like GoT in space.

When it came to Star Wars games, I've always had a soft spot for the air combat games like Rogue Squadron. I'm glad that Rogue Squadron II Rogue Leader was in this list and not Rogue Squadron III Rebel Strike. That one was my least favorite. I was also surprised that Shadows of the Empire was here too. I liked that game as a kid. I also liked Jedi Fallen Order. It felt like Uncharted but obviously it was a Star Wars game. I liked how both Star Wars Battlefront II titles were in the list too. The one by EA and the one by LucasArts.

OG Battlefront 2 has the Temuera Morrison monologues too, which I guess is sorta alluded to in the campaign mention but just listening to those stories as we mow down rebel factions after rebel faction is timeless

It’s 2023 and Battlefront 2 (2017) is the best Star Wars game on Console, the battles look like they come out from the movies, there is no ridiculous pay to win system and it feels amazing.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is truly a great game. I like how you get to travel to planets Kashyyyk and Dathomir and BD-1 was cool, funny, and cute droid. Do you think they will make a sequel? If so, I hope we get to go to the forest moon of Endor and meet the Ewoks.

Probably before most of your time but I loved "Shadows of the Empire" back in 96. Damn I'm getting old.
Knights of the Old Republic is at the top of this list, and that is for one simple reason. It is the greatest Star Wars RPG of all time, the most immersive story, and because of the remake coming out next year. I can't wait to replay KotOR with the remake, making me feel the same way I had fourteen years ago.

Glad to see my favorite game on this list but my question is why is it only at the 20th place. Also I kinda feel Bounty Hunter should have a lower spot since it was one of the hardest games anyone has ever played.
I was so happy when they put it on the PlayStation store I didn’t stop until i got all of the trophies as well as when i was a kid I rented it over and over again at blockbuster

Fr, eaw is the best sw strategy game for me. I liked very much the campaign, I mean blowing up planets is the funniest shit ever. The mods are probably the best part of the game, they are gorgeous. Petroglyph really nailed it in 2006.

Star Wars shadows of the empire is one my all time favorite Star Wars games, still have it to this day
From list I might have played Galactic Battlegrounds,but I did play Rogue Leader on GameCube owned Racer’s Revenge on PS2 and played The Force Unleashed on Wii.

I played Kotor 1 and 2 recently, Battlefront II and Fallen order. The Kotor story was the best, but the age matters too, so, even if shorter I enjoyed Fallen Order the most.
I was so happy KOTOR was number one. Had my fingers crossed the whole time.
Knight of the Old Republic 1(favorite all-time game) and Star wars Battlefront 1 and 2(2004 and 2005) have made me the star Wars fan that I am today. You could have gone a little indepth on the range of the planets you can visit in KoTOR and what is going on at the time. For Battlefront 2(2005) Galactic Conquest wasn't the campaign, Rise of the Emipre was.
You are 100% correct in your placement of Knights of the Old Republic. I would pay... ABSORBENT amounts of money for a remaster. I'm talking collectors edition levels of cash for just a digital copy. Provided it was open for the modding community. Still want player made content after the fact.
