  • Beautiful cascade division railroad including the Rock Island Bridge crossing the Columbia River. Special mention to John Mess for his work.

Great layout and great music! Nice break from the banjo and harmonica music most train videos seem to have.

This is a HUGE N scale model railroad empire of the Great Northern Railway in Washington state! You certainly invested tens of thousands of dollars on your model railroad kingdom! You designed it very accurately, according to the many photos taken of the GN mainline from Spokane through New Cascade Tunnel to Puget Sound! I hope to visit your model railroad kingdom someday.

Great layout with a Great name of a great railroad which was the Great Northern which is now a part of a great railroad which is the BNSF. My most favorite of all the pre merger railroads is the Great Northern & the Great Northern railroad emblem of Rocky the goat is my most favorite railroad emblem of all time. It will be great to run some Great Northern trains on the layout.

Wait, the GN goat mascot is named Rocky? That's adorable! I love it when railroads name their mascots, like Chessie, the C&O kitten, or Dashing Dan, the LIRR commuter. I'm sure there are others, too, but I can't think of any.

@@That_One_Guy_In_A_Band the Erie railroad had a cartoon of an engineer that smiled named Friendly, knowledge Smiley the engineer & the Lackawanna(Delaware,Lackawanna & Western) had a model named Phoebe Snow promoting how clean their passenger trains are, the Santa Fe has a Native American cartoon boy named Chico & the Boston & Maine had a picture of a minuteman promoting their service & the Central of New Jersey called CNJ and Jersey Central had the head of the Stature of Liberty on its boxcars.

Suggestion for the next video - get a tripod and do some slow panning shots across the field of view. Zoom in on a few of the really interesting scenes. This is a spectacular layout and a viewer needs time to take it all in. Establish, detail, relocate, repeat.

  • @modelrailroadexcursions987

I know I am nitpicking here, but it's a shame the backdrop for the Rock Island Bridge is so wrong... flips East and West sides of the river, and I also find it funny just to the right of the dam you can see the highway painted, but that is actually the tracks.

The cameraman sucks at filming because he moves so damn fast, you cannot see what you are looking at or lets you read the names of the towns. I know they are based on actual places in Washington, but it woul dbe nice to know what the hell I am looking at.
