    Thanks for the video. Just found out about the monitor adapter and can’t wait to use it.
    Can you explain your connection using your Zoom.
    Currently we are coming out of a QUPax mixer so I’m guessing we are using the digital desks preamps.
    I have the zoom F6 and wondered if it was needed to get even cleaner audio?
    So if you can explain how you connected it all together that would be great. Thanks for the video

    Great video!
    I don't know what went through their heads when they designed this thing. Only 1/8" jacks for sound, no sound monitoring and instead they used up a whole lot of real estate with hard wired nonsensical swoop cut buttons.
    The only thing that makes the ATEM Mini great is that noone made a better solution yet.

    This is great, could you tell me if I can connect all 3, the DBX286S, the PROZOR and atem mini? I don't need to also get the zoom do I? I already have the DBX and Atem mini pro connected, but I need to monitor my voice. Could I just hook up the PROZOR to what I have already setup? Will use your links of course. Thank you in advance for your help.

    • @towlermedia
      @towlermedia  Před 3 lety +1

      Absolutely! I would run mic to dbx286s to use as preamp (no Zoom needed), then to Atem, then to Prozor (to monitor output audio). Something to think about would be to "bypass" the processing of the dbx, if will be using the Atem audio processing. Or could run processing from dbx and bypass Atem audio software, or use processing from both to hone it in.

    • @towlermedia
      @towlermedia  Před rokem +1

      Yes, you could monitor audio from the Zoom H6 headphone jack, you would just not be able to hear the processed audio after it passes through the ATEM Mini.

    I need your help. I have a Shure SM7B Microphone running into a cloud lifter, running into the DBX286S. I then have the DBX286s running into ATEM Mini Pro ISO via a 1/8" to 1/4" TRS cable (plugged into the Mic 1 input on the ATEM Mini). I'm getting great audio using this setup. However, like you, I wanted a way to monitor my audio via headphones. So I bought the PROZOR HDMI Audio extractor and connected just as you described. I even have my monitor going into it and I'm getting great video. The problem is, I can't hear anything through my headphones. I plugged my headphones directly into the PROZOR, but I'm getting no sound. Is there a setting I need to change on the ATEM Mini in order to get sound through my headphones? Please help. I'm this close to having my setup complete. Thanks in advance for your help.

      Are you getting video through the Prozor HDMI output on your recording? Does it have audio on recording? Let me know. In the meantime, I will review my setup for his, as it has been around 2 yrs since I made this video and I need to refresh my memory real quick.

    Hello. Got a hdmi audio extractor , works great with hdmi from 2 different camcorders for headphone audio. But plugging into hdmi out of atem mini pro there is no audio on headphones. Is there some atem setup required help please?. Thank You.

    • @towlermedia
      @towlermedia  Před 6 měsíci

      You should be hearing the audio from the headphone jack of the hdmi audio extractor. Is your signal flow going from the camcorder>atem>atem master out>hdmi extractor? Also, mine has volume buttons on the side of the splitter. Check that too and let me know

    • @rinico75

      @@towlermedia Thank you for reply . Could not get the prozor, mine does not have volume buttons, signal from camcorder into cam 1 atem mini pro-atem mini USB c to computer running v mix. It works well only one Sunday I was sick stand in had some difficulty and turned all knobs on behringer 20 ch mixer, turned out only problem was mixer audio out to atem mic 1 got unplugged. After all that problem was bad sound because he had turned on sub woofer out filter on mono out for atem.
      My hdmi audio extractor works when connecting a camcorder directly to hdmi in of this little box but not when connecting the hdmi out of atem to hdmi of this box.
      Prozor does not seem to available now. Any replacement recommended.
      Now I use cell phone to monitor you tube channel whit headphones.

  • @HonestArttsEntertain
    @HonestArttsEntertain Před 11 měsíci

    no headphone jack blows my mind. But no real solution to the inputs of hearing the audio is another. If there is no headphone jack on the atem, there should be a way to at least hear audio in the software. You can see the audio levels in the software. But what good is it for me to see audio levels if I can't hear what I am seeing without going the extra mile to hookup external third party devices? And I shouldn't have to purchase another model.

  • @markdonnery
    @markdonnery Před 3 lety +1

    The way you are doing your audio monitoring is not the greatest you should be resync in the atem yes your monitoring in real time will be off, what you should do is set your delay in the atem and then the output hdmi and usb to USB will be in sync (I guess this work flow that you did would only be helpful with the non pro version) yes your monitoring of yourself will be off, but once you have your levels set then you should monitor from your zoom this way your audio will be in sync out from hdmi and usb no need to delay in obs the echo that you heard was from the audio being in sync with the video as the video is delayed 6 frames

    • @markdonnery
