This is a remastered work on some of the tracks that are going to be included on the "Tomb Raider Suite" ost music album compilation remastered by Nathan McCree. To make this possible please support his project by backing his project on kickstarter here: kck.st/2qmnIsf
When Nathan McCree wrote the music for the first three Tomb Raider games between 1996 and 1998, he used his favourite synthesizers available at the time. But for 20 years he dreamt of hearing his music performed by a full orchestra and choir and with the 20th Anniversary of the release of Tomb Raider in 2016, the timing was perfect to realise his dream.
On Sunday 18th December, 2016, The Tomb Raider Suite received its World Premiere, performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the City of London Choir. Conducted by Robert Ziegler, it received three standing ovations from over 2,000 fans who attended the concert. It was an outstanding finale to the Tomb Raider 20th Anniversary celebration.
Our goal is to make a studio recording of The Tomb Raider Suite with one of England's leading orchestras in England's best loved recording studio, Abbey Road in London.
This is a unique opportunity for all Tomb Raider fans worldwide to finally own and hear a world-class recording of this music as Nathan McCree had always intended it.
The music has been orchestrated, copied and printed and is now ready to be recorded. We will book the studio, orchestra, choir and conductor as soon as we know the target monies have been raised. Subject to availability of the studio and the orchestra, our goal is to record in August 2017 and to have the album available worldwide by November 2017.
The process of producing a full orchestral album approximately 90 minutes in duration is extremely expensive and we cannot achieve this without your help. To hire a 76-piece orchestra and a 20-voice choir with a world-class conductor and studio engineer at one of the top studios in the world, then mix and master we need to raise £160,000. This figure also includes the costs of Kickstarter (credit card fees, Kickstarter fee, VAT and pledge fulfillment).
If we are fortunate enough to exceed our initial target, we plan to put the additional funding back into the project. There are a number of things we would like to do if this happens:
Increase the size of the Choir for the recording at Abbey Road
Increase the size of the Brass Section for the recording at Abbey Road
Increase the size of the Woodwind Section for the recording at Abbey Road
Record and release the synthesizer only version of The Tomb Raider Suite
Remaster and release the original, unchanged game soundtracks for Tomb Raider I, II and III
Film and release a TV / DVD documentary about the making of The Tomb Raider Suite
This is our chance, as Tomb Raider fans, to get a professional studio recording of the music of Tomb Raider I, II and III. You will be helping all Tomb Raider fans - original, current, and new - to appreciate the score. Our concert in London proved how exceptional the orchestrated version of the music is and how much the fans enjoyed the evening.
If you make our project a success you will be enabling the most recognised iconic games music to be played by one of the best orchestras in England and recorded at one of the most famous recording studios in the world.
Please help us to continue celebrating 20 years of Lara and the greatest game music ever written! If we can do this, we will finally hear the music as we all have always dreamt it could be. Success could lead not only to Tomb Raider: Live In Concert touring worldwide, but also for entry into the classical repertoire so it can be performed by orchestras across the globe: from the BBC Proms in London to the Boston Pops; the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra to the Berlin Philharmonic. A truly international work celebrating all that we love about Lara Croft, Tomb Raider and Nathan's iconic music... - Hry
I miss Lara 😞 she’s not the same now. These songs give me goosebumps. Epic soundtracks... not the same anymore
I LOVE THE OLD ONE BUT THE CHARACTER has become more realistic
I Know 😔, The old Lara felt more mysterious and more head strong. Plus she seemed more gorgeous back then and the music was what complimented her and her adventures.
@@notmy5106
realistic? she has completely become another character.
Realistic? Yes.
Lara? Not that I know of...
@@BlastoiseToiseGabriel dont worry soon or later square enix will bring her back with the same hair and cloth
@@notmy5106
I want her prismatic boobs back!! XDD jk
Reminds me the best days of my life...
And the happiest (even if wasted) hours of my childhood !
@@happymatt2013 You learned valuable hand eye coordination and puzzle solving while playing this game, and you also now have a fun nostalgic memory
A friend since gone will always be one of my favorite pieces in the entirety of the classic games
Hearing these songs brought nostalgic tears to my eyes. 😭😭😭😭
Per sempre Lara con Tomb Raider grazie Nathan 💕
Vertigo is played in TRII in Bartolli's hideout. The roomwhere you climb the chandeliers. Hense the name!
gotta love that level because of this song!
We miss you Core Design
12:54 Level Ending Theme from TR3... So amazing remastered :) .. Had to Drop some tears on that... Brilliant
Omg Vertigo Absolute my Favorite... soo nicee i must cry...:(
2:20 absolutely brilliant! Goosebumps!
12:54 Level complete....... A single teardrop of nostalgia rolls down my cheek hearing this remastered
These themes hold up amazingly well, after all these years. Every one of them is well-written, memorable and truly fits the classic games' atmospheres.
Vertigo plays so quietly in Bartoli's hideout. Jumping those chandeliers. Thanks for the memories Nathan.
I'll never understand why they didn't hire Nathan McCree to do some some tracks for the new Tomb Raider film, like c'mon! Nostalgia is everything with all the old genre's coming back! :P
because they didn't know how to do videogame adaptations, the first things I think they need to create some atmosphere (because one of the main things the activety is lost if you watching in a movie), and one of the most intuitive thing in atmosphere is music, they never bring back composers for Hitman, Max Payne, Prince of Persia or even WarCraft, and this is the first mistake. They musnt create a new one, maybe enhance or variate the original, but I think it will give such boost instantly when you hear the tunes and give goosebumps. (and ofcorse the other things are just as bad, Lara Croft as a Fedex runner, oh hell yeah thats what I want to see) And maybe take seriously the movie, and so on. Hollywood sucks.
Who cares? The films are not the games.
@@fatumteam Totally agree. The main mistake of movies, based on video games, is that directors and studios simply don't take it seriously - for them it's almost like making a movie of some cartoon, they make it just for pure fun. On the other hand we have movies that are based on books - and these ones are taken so seriously they even compete for and win academy awards! So all the staff in Hollywood, take videogames more seriously - they are ART!
Time to run is my fave along with the rest of course ❤❤❤
I love how at 7:49 it sounds like theres a small piece from kingdom hearts thrown in there ^^
Can't stop listening Vertigo
A Friend Since Gone ❤️
anyone else feel really upset when listening.. like it seems like yesterday i was sat watching my dad play these games, wow never forget!!!
EXACTLY how I feel. I too watched my Dad play these games as a little girl, I listened to this and I just want to cry.
I feel so young again hearing this music and see the original Lara again.
This is just amazing! I love Vertigo 03:08 ❤
Vertigo is amazing ❤
Simply one of the best pieces of music ever created for an movie or game...
SAME it’s so beautiful
Just bought the suite - absolutely delightful. Now to finish the latest game ...
This music is ewerything! Class 77!
This is simply delightful, angelic and magical
That battle theme and main theme mash up was amazing.
I love the extended synthesized versions, I wish I could re-create or compose original/custom soundtracks for classic Tomb Raider just like this!
Epicness on a whole new level looking forward to the CD
this is my 'go to' music when wanting to unwind
Through back to 90s 💔💔💔💔💔
THANK YOU OH MY GOD ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. All time favorite game soundtrack and this Melody is honestly breathtaking THANK YOU BYE X
3:08 ❤
This gives me goosebumps, it’s amazing! I get nostalgia listening to it. I can’t wait for the release of the whole album! It will be played non-stop in my house!
Tomb Raider for the PS1 was my first game that introduced me to the gaming world as a kid. I miss the real Lara Croft and the music composed by Nathan McCree.
this is fcking awsome...remember my childhood
Tomb Raider 2 was the best of the original trilogy! The guns sounded epicly loud! It had the highest kill count as you had to whack the entire Italian mafia!
Tomb Raider 3 felt... too quiet...
TR2 had the best ending of the trilogy (and most other games)
TR3 had the nicest locations on the other hand, each game had something special
3:07 for my own use, feel free to use it as a replay button too 😁
Music from games back in the 90s was something else games like pokemon / tomb raider / zelda and bucket loads of others had a creative drive to them and that drive to create a simplistic but effective sound score was just ... Beautiful.
This is just so beautiful. ❤️
06:46 if I hear this track, I feel so deep pain and sadness because that Lara that all we know will never return. Me as game developer pushes the force to go through my limits and talent, to create and develop the classic Lara and her mistery adventure, back to the roots, bring all back in a new graphics, a nice Remake of all first 6 games, combined in one))
Remember to go and support this project on Nathan's kickstarter page! Links in comments below!

03:08 This intro part reminds me of Age of Empires...
Totally! :D
Missed the kickstarter but these do sound good, hopefully the double CD at least comes out for everyone eventually?
You can buy it on the tombraidersuite site (even when you didn't back it on kickstarter)
Can you tell me why this dies for loading at 26 seconds? Wifi or 4g
Are these recorded from his previous live performance or are they remastered versions of the original synth?

4:21 somebody farted (no, I kid, but seriously what was that noise).
After all these years I confess Lara has been my first true love ❤️ why can’t I find her.
If she aint got triangles shes not worth playing with 🤣
160,00 thousand? But could find another orchestra and studio for a much cheaper price.
