+NewRetroWave One of the most sophisticated and well crafted albums I ever heard. Every track is so well balanced out and put in the right order that it´s a joy to listend the whole thing for the day or evening to chill and relax.
+NewRetroWave We need this on vinyl! :-)
I love listening to your albums. Makes any night a great night for relaxation.
Any chance of this being put out on CD soon(ish)ly?
Hi everyone. I'm totally blown away by the nice comments and positive vibes. Thanks so much for taking the time to listen to the album. It was a labor of love and I'm so glad that most of you are really enjoying it. Ollie and I really appreciate it. Thank you!
+FM-84 You deserve all the praise you guys can get. You make some other worldly awesome music. As soon as I heard the album for the first time? I immediately bought it off of Bandcamp. And I rarely ever do that. Atlas was that good.
Keep up the good work. I can't wait to hear more.
+OcpCommunications I really appreciate that. Thank you for the support. :D
+FM-84 This is just a phenomenal album, from start to finish. Now, I just can't wait to listen to the next one you release. Bravo!
Thank you You !
Best thing I've heard (along with Gunship's album) in years. And now if you'll excuse me, I have to dust off my flight of the navigator VHS
My husband used to listen to fm84 all the time, loved the music! I wish he were still here, to play it on the TV for me.
He is ❤ I promise you! Your husband has epic taste 👌😎
@@nmn9166thank you, glad you like this great music also!
I'm 50 years old...and have been waiting for this music my whole life!!!!
5 years and still sounds fresh
Secrets of great production :)
That means this album is a full hit.
Phenomenal music is timeless.
That's the great thing about the classics. They just never die
I just discovered this album looking at "running in the night" and WOW... I found my favorite genre of music!
I suddenly don't hate everything
That's exactly what i'm feeling right now! lol
Same here it's something about the sound that just fix whatever is wrong in the world I love it
I agree it makes you feel good and makes you want retro to come back in style
Except the ads...
LOL read the comment i just left. Perfect response btw.
This album has cured my depression.

On January 1st, 1980, my dad had 16 years of young age. My mom, 14. Imagine entering the magical decade of the 80s old enough to remeber every single thing, but young enough to actually ENJOY the world around you with the eyes and the healthy body of a teenager!
We don't have this, my friends, but we can share the spirit and pray to God let our kids and/or grandkids have the same experience our parents once had, the opportunity of a lifetime.
My neighbour called the police because I've been playing this album on full blast... They arrested him!
That’s some solid police work right there 👍🏻
Lol
Hahaha
The 80's is strong in this album :)
+AnalogX64 yep! the Synthwave music is full of 80's culture! :)
very Strong, the force is strong in this Album, makes ones willpower strong to search the way!
GEE I WONDER WHY
Some of the best music ever was made in the 80s in my opinion atleast so a good idea to return to that style.
Too bad you can't appreciate a wide range of great music which includes rap. Bless your heart! xoxo
amazing for midnight driving trough empty city :)
+nomadovic Doesn't even need to be empty. I put on a retro wave/dreamwave/synthwave playlist and drive through Los Angeles at night every chance I get. It's the most calming and energizing thing I do for myself.

Hahahaha this had me in stitches.. Nice to know we've provided the soundtrack to your proclivities x
hahahaaha
Keep going new retro, we all prefer to be back there....
Healing.. Running in the night ❤️
i want to open a club where sounds like this is in the playlist always ♥
It would be just like the 80's!

Welcome to 1984, a place in time to have some fun. Don't forget to buy your Time Machine Ticket to return to 2022. Enjoy the ride.
It is 9am I am sitting on my rental homes small patio with a blue sky and sun directly on my face. Wearing an Xmen cartoon shirt, remembering my father, big brother, sister, and mother. Not stopping there I recall my ancestors to enjoy in this with me. And any of you that would care to sit and just silently remember with us, are more then welcome.
I got some time to spare
@@matthewsupinger1728 I am glad you are here
I feel you.
i literally cannot understand why anyone would not like this. i am a an over 40 black, soul n rnb deep house and techno dj that also play funk rock etc...this is excellent music. it's honest music.. and honest music cannot be assailed.
fckin rite mate
Because they haven't opened the 3rd eye and let the music just take you away and sometimes they listen with a closed mind and negative feelings
Yeah its a testament to how good this is as I've been a huge hip hop fan for 25 years but good Synthwave captured my heart and this album is better than good... it's phenomenal.
You sir speak the truth
Connecting to the music is connecting to the people. This brings people of all backgrounds together and this is a perfect example. I'm a 35 year european-blooded american metal head from So Cal. Welcome my man!
"Light" synthwave music is perfect for the summertime, and this album is among the great ones. I love this channel.
It's actually dreamwave bro , which is a subgenre of synthwave.
Dreamwave is chilled / slower form of synthwave.
isn't it called chillwave?
+LightXplosion😐
It's actually called Strawberry-Shortcake-CarebearRainbowwave
I'm more into Blueberry-Muffin-CarebearRainbowwave, but PinkDonut-MyLittlePonyFriendshipwave? I just can't listen to that shit, too hardcore
6:30am just got off work. 12 hour shift and log on and find this. Cheers from Oklahoma
To me this ERA never died. I never left the 80's. I continued to watch 80's movies and VHS throughout the 90's and 2000's..everybody laughed at me.. Who's laughing now...It's baaaaaaack!
It's eternal!!!
wow you are lucky... I was born in 2003 and never got to experience that... But i got it somewhere in me for some reason, I don't know why though...?
The 30 year rule sure has kicked in pretty good if you ask me, and I'm overjoyed. Being a 2000s kid, I never got to experience the awesomeness that was the '80s and never truly will. But, this nostalgia craze has completely swept me off my feet and I'm jamming to new-retro vibes all the time!
it's a place in your heart outside the bounds of time
WORD :)
fm 84, if you re reading this, just know, i love you
We love you too ;)
Ollie Wride
Peter Fedichev thank you so much. love from morocco.
I'm a prog rock guy and I listen to this ALL THE TIME.
I own a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado as my first car. Listening to this cruising down the highway at night in the summer, windows down, blasting this over the Bose speakers is nothing short of a vibe on it's own. Car full of friends, going 85 with no care in the world, just having fun.
What a time.
I literally run in the night with this album...

3.7mil and growing, i must have listened to this perfect album 50 times over the recent years... it's mesmerising.
I cry with happyness ,I feel like 1984 again .10 years old
I the one who born in 85 and this kind of album remembers me at the mall at there... Good children thoughts.
Wow, this is an audiophile's heaven.
What's a audiophile?
Thank god you said audiophile.
Someone who loves it in the ear.
That's what she said.
It might be a directional cable, though... *cough*
FM-84 has easily become on of my favorites after being introduced to synth.
Gunship? Timecop1983?
The 80s never ended...they were just hidden beneath layers of misery and self-loathing. Bring back the beauty of the simpler time!
Travelling back in time, watching me and my mate playing with our M.A.S.K.-Toys in a sandpit...
This whole album is perfect for an evening drive.
i wanna get a licence so i can do just that...
***** same haha im too lazy to go and get it.
Oh yeah I lit my self a Doobie and cruised around to this album ..a great one
Way cool, man. Glad you're putting everyone else at risk
+loookaroundyou yes because you always hear about people being killed by a stoned driver.
i wish synthwave artists did live shows and tours, i wanna drop acid and dance all night to this beauty
My friend, you have no idea how much we want to do some live shows.. trying to get it together, probably London for starters! x
Haha, lol, acid would be Awesome listening to this. Or shrooms but I prefer weed milkshake with vanilla ice-cream
Ollie Wride
im a little star-struck rn like holy shit you're amazing! im channeling positive vibes your way!
Juan Felipe Franco
a weed milkshake sounds tasty af!
Noah Grimes It's all copacetic bro. Thank you for the vibes, thrilled you dig it!
Running in the night would be one of the most iconic songs of all time if it came out in 1984.
listening to it right now. my jam jam jimmie jam
I agree
It's been 8 years and 7 million views and luckily I get to see it one more time ❣❣❣
I want too live inside this album......
This is one of the greatest albums ever made.
OMG, I just discovered this group now....they have been here 7 years and I am disgusted with myself that I never knew during that time.
This group ROCKS!!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING I HAVE LISTENED to. 🤟🤟 THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!
FM-84 is a legendary synthwave artist. Atlas is rejuvenating each and every time I listen. 🍒
Goodbye with Clive Farrington makes me feel like a teenager again in about 1987 driving around the lakes of Minneapolis in my '74 red Chevy Nova on one of those endless summer nights.
This album cured my depression
Destroy what destroys you!
This album makes me more depressed. Songs like Running In The Night and Let's Talk. I guess "depression" isn't as simple as people like to think. Like, oh, they're just sad. Yeah, okay

I know right? It's one of my favorite Synthwave tracks.
My favorite
I actually like a few songs more like Arcade Summer, which flows so softly. That being said, not a bad song here.
My favorite
On xmas eve me and my wife did a 10k run, it was cold, dark and heavy rain set in, then i heard this track and it was perfect 😂

This is one album where nearly EVERY song is great.

And guess who is going to buy.... This guy right here..

Synthwave = retrowave :)
This album is amazing
Goodbye feat. Clive Farrington... one of my favorites. Classic tune
Energy of rising sun....!!!
definitely one or my favorite synth albums this year!
+dannydan95 for sure :)
This album is not just a gateway to the 80s, it's an escape to a world that knows no hatred, no stigma, no labels and insecurities, where innocence is not naivety and love is love without adjectives (gay love, straight love, forbidden love etc.) because love is just beautiful no matter who shares it. Well, that might seem cheesy, but hey, people say the 80s were cheesy and now there's a huge revival! Thank you for your beautiful music.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yes!
5 years later. Still the best synthwave album.
Seconded.
@@dannyarcher6370 what is the Best for you?
yeah its 80s but the sound quality is next to perfection.
Arcade Summer is rocking.
Amazing. So upbeat and like an anti-depressant.
The 1980s were a time of great pop culture of the best movies, music, TV shows
From someone who actually experienced the 1980s, this is AWESOME!!!!
'Arcade Summer' is a very effective anti-depressant.
I know what you mean. It's incredible.
I feel the same
Wholeheartedly agree!
Ollie Wride's vocals are freaking amazing.
+AllenAndersonTaylor Indeed, goosebumps here when he sings, his voices suits so perfectly the music of FM-84 !
I love this album, sometimes drunk it makes me cry
Seven years on and this album is still amazing, thanks guys. In particular, "Goodbye" and "Wild Ones" give me the feels still. Love it.
7 years man it almost feels like this is our 80s.
I listened in 2017, still its somewhere in my heart. nice music.
I got some wireless headphones recently, and the last few nights since this was released I've been sitting on my roof listening to it on repeat and looking up at the stars. It's sounds corny but there's no way to describe how this music can make you feel. My parents were really into disco / funk / synth in the late 70s and through the 80's, and I remember listening to similar stuff growing up on vinyl, and every time I hear this stuff I can just picture being 5 or 6 again even though I can't actually remember that time. But the feeling is there and it hurts sometimes to hold onto.
drunk guy .. out
nothing beats this on a good stereo))
that's for this gorgeous hungover morning. :)
DΛIMYO I agree completely, the feeling I get is unexplainable and so weird and deep. Kinda makes me wanna cry too lol
The power of music.
DΛIMYO so true i get the same feeling...
Our love was stuck back there in time, and this is a portal to go back to feel the love again.
This cures and gives depression.... it just right.... It hurts me like it was yesterday.... R.I.P BIG BRO 1990-2014.
I have to admit, I forgot, for a moment, how gorgeous this album was.
I remember hearing the track "Tears" a couple of months ago on this channel and I played it in the car with my friends during a night drive. Memory Created. Thanks NewRetroWave for sharing the great music from these amazing talents.
Such well produced tracks! Glad I ran into this!
Just found it...and blown away !
SerpentZA brought me here! Love this!
Running In The Night and Wild Ones, masterpiece!
yeah
Awesome album. Taking me back to the 80's. Music like this was meant to last forever.
I literally get into my car and cruise in classic car and feel I'm in the damn 80s!!! Awesome!!! Running in the night!!!
I remember when the 80's was the future. Anything was possible. Nice music by the way.
hateful comment. this music isn't NICE btw. it's EVERYTHING! pay a real compliment or gtfo.
This is one of the few 80s retro artists who actually gets the 80s sound. It's not just about the synths like so many of them seem to believe. You can hear elements of artists like Pat Benatar, Def Leppard, The Cars and others in these songs.
True, so powerful! Cristal clear and profound ~
Absolutely with you. What is widely considered "retro (80s style) synth wave" sounds actually more like the computer gaming/demo scene music of the ninetees, than genuine 80s sound.
Those suck though. This is awesome.
You're absolutely right about the "80s sound" - it's not just about the different patches, although that helps. It's how they're layered, it's the tempo and the reverb which gives the sense that you're awash in these glorious melodies. Somehow that was almost innate back in the 80s (and I say that as an 80s kid), and few artists seem to be able to capture that mood now. FM-84 is definitely one, along with The Midnight, Kalax, and Timecop1983. They're all simply wonderful.
yeah, FM-84 is great. Same applies to the Midnight
I am absolutely shocked that I am just only now discovering this insanely good music. It touches a place in my soul that I cannot begin to describe how it feels.
glad you has been discovered this outstanding music. 😉🙌
@@wikusclass77 thank you!!!

I'd like to ride my bike while listening to this masterpiece and get away from stressful life for a while and enjoy good ride with some nature of view..
I'm listening to this all the time, but it works especially well as I'm driving into a fading California sunset on a hot summer night.
Großartiges Album für alle 80s Fans. Gerade für 7.99 bei Amazon gekauft. Gibt's zwar hier im streaming, aber wer so gute Musik macht, sollte auch unterstützt werden. Also: Erst anhören, dann kaufen.

What a voice Ollie! This is the best music I’ve think I’ve heard since the 1980s. Thanks so much!
Thank God that there are artists bringing new wave back.
If "Let's Talk" had been released in the 80s, it would have been a #1 hit. One of the best "80s" tracks I've ever heard.
It's ok, might have been like the 3rd song during the credits of Kickboxer 2 or something.
its a least the second song during the credits of the first Kickboxer
@@evalha0077 LOL. That's cold.
Seriously. Right!
I found myself listening to this album throughout the 2020 quarantine. I was one of the lucky ones that year. I had a year off paid in full. I played video games, exercised more, learned lots of guitar covers, and redecorated my home. The summer that year was gorgeous, and there was hardly anyone in the streets. It was a good year. For me, at least.
That's awesome man! I'm honestly jealous. I had to go to work every day and push myself harder to make up for sick coworkers, maternity leave coworkers, and people getting burnt out and quitting to pursue other interests. We've been running on bare bone staff for the last two years and my depression is at an all time high. I never got rest and I feel too burnt out to fix anything anymore.
Hope you continue to flourish my friend. And I'm genuinely happy the pandemic was a refresher for some folks.
Amen. Same

That was 2020 for my family as well...except for the part about listening to this album. One of the best years of our lives inside the home - while hell raged outside. Such a strange juxtaposition.
@@DawnPeacock That's a really poetic way of putting it. "The best years of our lives, while hell raged outside...".
I might use that for one of my songs.
