I think that's the point. he does after all have to sit there and read literary gold such as "you wrong! Did game teh best ever" whenever someone disagrees with his oppinion. Now add 15 opinions that he has to share in this video, and you can almost hear the lemmings crawling out of their holes.

Also, does anyone else notice that his 4th best is almost always begrudgingly on the list? 2013- Assassins Creed Black Flag was only on for the bits that weren’t assassins creed, 2014- Dark souls 2 was only there because he couldn’t put dark souls 1 on the list, 2015- Soma had questionably necessary monsters and wasn’t as good as bioshock, 2016- Titanfall 2 was only good when compared to the first one, and 2017- breath of the wild “whatever, it’s fine”
Honestly from everything I hear Black flag was an amazing game that stands out in the franchise. I haven't played it yet but I know it enhances the ship combat that I had an insane amount of fun and joy on in 3. Never commanded a ship like that before.
A lot of people hate on dark souls 2 but I literally played dark souls 2 immediately after I beat one. There a laundry list of things that dark souls 2 improves on compared to one. Okay the dungeons don't interweave, and some of the bosses aren't amazing. Aside from that I had an amazing experience with 2. Breath of the wild is a fine game, I mean he talks about the lack of link's character, but every single one of the dozens if not hundreds of npcs have more character than almost any character in some mediocre anime if that means anything. Many of them felt unusually real and had their own personality. Link is like a tool, you imprint your personality on him. I think thats kind of the point. For me the only problem I kind of have is that the combat could have been improved upon a little bit more. It works as it is, but I allways enjoyed how advanced, technical, and even flashy wind waker's combat was.
In any event, all of these games are by no means there because he needs something to fill the list. I can't speak for him but let me reiterate all of these games are great games(Don't know much about soma)

Capcom *nailed* it with RE7. In retrospect, I think it was outdone by the RE2 remake, but only just. RE7 was everything it needed to be, and it laid the groundwork for reviving the series from the bowels of mediocrity.

Didn’t review it, but on that note, Uncharted 4 probably deserved a position the year before as well. But 2016 and 17 were tough choices on the blandest of the bland.

On another note, I’m glad I kickstarted A Hat in Time back then. It’s a great game, and Hat Kid’s voice is wonderful.
I did not donate to the Kickstarter, but I sure am glad I bought the full release.
I honestly dont think Destiny 2 could have been at a better spot. FUCK it still pisses me off that I have into the hopes and dreams that for once I could pay full price for a game and actually get my money's worth. Instead, I'm left wishing I should have spend a third of the money on Warframe, another third on steam sales, and the remaining third for a pizza, WITH money left to spend on my cats.
Fuck Destiny 2. Fuck the blandness, the story (or lack thereof), and the pretty much non-interesting dullness of everything they tried with that game. Holy god it's so bland the story could put people to sleep without the need of Morgan Freeman narrating it.

I wasn't a bungie fan to begin with, I had no experience with this company at all. I bought the game because a few friends of mine mentioned how much they loved the first one, and because I felt like playing a good, proper shooter again. Needless to say, that was not happening with this game, and probably wont ever no matter how much they try to polish it.

Hearing yahtzee sing like a 6 year old was the highlight of my week.

I mean... The game's point is to show you that something's missing from the experience, making you feel like you're missing something, and then procede to show you what in the second half and the ending.
This was never a sci-fi game pretending to explore the origin of consciousness, it just uses that theme to deliver on its real message (in a heavy-handed way, but a powerful one nonetheless)
You either didn't play it,
or didn't play it until the end of route E (which is the only ending of the game, everything before that is a red herring)
or it went right over your head (which seems plausible seeing what angle your chose to use to attack this game)

First one of these I'm here for and got to say I'm happy that I found zero punctuation, it's a hilariously dark roller coaster of an experience and I love it

The transition singing makes this list to me. And part of me was curious if the bland would change but the blandness of it really stuck to the theme so I can't be mad at that. Also the number one worst pedistal was block by my isp for some reason. I don't know why.
